WWE Superstars 6/17/10..The Uso’s Make Their In-Ring Debut

It’s time to start the Blue Brand and here we go tonight with Kofi Kingston, the Intercontinental Champion, accompanied by Michael McGillicutty.Kofi will go one on one against Trent Baretta.

Kofi beats Trent with Trouble in Paradise.  A very good match where Kofi could show his athleticism.   A very fun opener that actually had a commercial break.

They show a video from NXT this past Tuesday night, showcasing how the rookies and pros made up and showed that they have all forgiven about what took place the week before. It ends with Cody pushing Matt off the stage.

Our main event match is Goldust and Mark Henry taking on the Raw ring debut of Jey and Jimmy Uso.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcome us the show tonight, we get Yoshi Tatsu taking on Primo. Didn’t we see this match on Superstars a few weeks ago?

Primo won by pulling the tights. Most of this match was talking about how “horrible” it was to see Primo turn bad. I actually like his look, and what gets me is Jerry Lawler has been a heel for over 30 years, yet he can’t stand when a wrestler turns heel? Whatever.

Great Khali come out and give Primo the head knocker for good measure, or the tree chop. Then he dances with Tatsu, not a good way to celebrate a victory, but okay.

They then show video of what happened with Raw concerning NXT Season 1 and WWE wrestlers, ending when NXT guys roughed up Bret Hart, trying to get him to say they can have a contract. I just have to know, who’s driving in the limo?

Main event time, Mark Henry and Goldust taking on the Uso Brothers. This should be an interesting match.

The Uso’s won their debut match and actually it was a good match. But you wouldn’t know it if you heard the announcers. All they wanted to discuss was what took place on Monday night. A big reason why I just don’t think Cole and Lawler should be announcing on Superstars. Get someone else, who isn’t affiliated with either show, there is a guy that does the previews before the PPV, he’d be perfect for this show, but the name escapes me. Anyway, Jey did a sweet chin music to Goldust and then go up top for the Splash. Best match of the night to end the show.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

If you mute the show, the matches were fun. The announcers, all 4 of them continued to talk about what happened on Monday and Tuesday nights, respectively. But the matches delivered, especially the main event match that had an in ring debut for The Uso Brothers. Let’s hope there is more to come for the duo.
