WWE Superstars 6/24/10…R-Truth Vs William Regal

We start the show off with the blue brand this week, as Todd Grisham welcomes us to the show, along with Matt Striker.

JTG will kick things off, he will take on Caylen Croft of the Dudebusters.  These two faced off each other a few weeks ago, so this is a rematch of sorts.  JTG won the last time, can he win this time?

JTG owns Croft I guess, he won in a very short match with the Roll The Dice.  JTG celebrates by getting some kids to celebrate with him in the ring.  Very cute to see, the kids are having the time of their lives.

Tonight, R-Truth will be taking on William Regal in our main event.

The next match will be SES member Luke Gallows, he will be taking on “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters.

Striker tried to tell us that like Luke Gallows, Chris Masters faced  his problems head on, the difference is Chris has faced his problems head on and people like him for it.  What?  Luke Gallows didn’t face his problems head on?  He shaved his head and has lived a “clean” life since then, come on Matt.

Luke Gallows wins the match, it actually had a commercial and when they came back, Masters screamed “Masterlock”, but the story of the match was Luke was working on Chris’ back so he couldn’t get a good hold on The Masterlock.  He finally had the hold, but Serena ran up to the ring to distract Chris and Luke Kicked him in the face when he was on the middle rope, then gave him The Gallows Pole for his finishing move and won.

They are now showing highlights of what took place last Tuesday’s NXT when Husky Harris attacked Matt Striker.  Matt said he will still be professional, but it could be Harris is under alot of pressure.  Then why did Cody Rhodes do the same thing to you Matt last week?  I’m just saying.

Hey, the Bella Twins are still employed by WWE.  How do I know?  Because they are actually WRESTLING next, and won’t be accompanying any Guest Host.

Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler join us, and they will tell us all about what happened last Monday night on Raw.

Jillian Hall is singing for us, okay maybe for me.  Apparently the deal is Nikki Bella refused to wrestle because she broke her fingernail, and I guess that is why we didn’t have a guest host this past Monday night, so it will be Brie Bella taking on Jillian.

It’s sad when even the announcers make fun of what the Bella sisters are and Cole was talking about he saw the Bella sisters and he has a stain on his shirt.  What would his wife say about that?

Well, the referee said no switcharoo was going to take place when Brie fell over the top rope and landed on the floor.  So he checked which one was sweaty, and he sent Brie back in.  I am not kidding you, he said that.  So when Jillian didn’t break the 5 count, Nikki pushed her sister aside and did the ole’ switcharoo anyway and rolled Jillian for the pin.  Good gravy.

They come back and shows us what happened at the end of Raw Monday night when Nextus attack Vince McMahon, with Wade Barrett leading the way.  The McMahon family refused a comment, but the anonymous GM left an email, saying “These actions will be met with the appropriate consequences”

Main event time…R-Truth taking on William Regal, the former King of the Ring, and it’s up next.

The Truth won with The Lie Detector in a very aggressive but unfortunately short match.  They only gave the main event about 5 minutes, and that is all she wrote for this show.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

A very underwhelming episode of Superstars tonight, the best match would have to be the main event, and that might just be due to default.  But I will never have a problem seeing a R-Truth-William Regal match, and for the record, I truly feel Michael Cole should never do play by play for a diva match on Superstars alone. Not only did he not care about the match, but some of the things he said was just truly off the wall.  Then again, I am also one to believe that Cole should be fired just for being stupid, but that’s just me.  Any thoughts or comments?  Email me at DJKevinGillman75@aol.com or leave me a comment on this page.  Have a great night.
