WWE Superstars 10/21/10…The “Dashing” ones try to defeat The Athletic Playas

Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show tonight. The first match is Santino and Vladimir Kozlov taking on The Uso Brothers.

Santino and Kozlov beat the Uso’s with the Cobra.  Nothing match that sets up Santino’s involvement at Bragging Rights PPV.  Tamina looked like she was happy for him.

William Regal has a match, his opponent will be the returning Darren Young.

Regal gives Darren a running kick, defeating him.  A  good match that allowed both men to showcase their talent.  Fun match to watch.

NEXUS comes down to the ring.  Wade Barrett tells us that he will face Randy Orton at Bragging Rights and he will win the WWE Title.  In turn, Wade will become the 40th champion.  Be the same league as Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and John Cena.

They show footage covering the last month with NEXUS and John Cena.  This Sunday, John will accompany Wade and be in his corner for the match.

Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to the show.  “Dashing” Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will face MVP and Chris Masters.

Rhodes beat MVP with the Crossroads.  Good match that had some time, even took a commercial.  The one negative was we didn’t get to hear any of “Dashing” Cody Rhodes’ grooming tips, but everything else worked, and this ends the show.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Decent show, the 1st match wasn’t much and it still puzzles me over why they chose Santino representing Raw in the Bragging Rights PPV.  The best match was the main event, all 4 men can go in the ring and have something to offer, if only WWE allowed them to do that.  This show was 10 times better though than last week with one exception, they should have Steve Stanford totally replace Cole as the play by-play man for the Raw side.  What were your thoughts on Superstars?  Email me at DJKevingillman75@aol.com or drop me a line.
