WWE Superstars 10/28/10…Michael Cole Is Not Doing Play By Play

Yes, music to my ears, we do not hear Michael Cole kicking off Superstars, but rather Scott Stanford.  Very nice to hear.

Mark Henry is in the ring, he will face off against Jay Uso.  Jimmy and Tamina are out there in full force.

Mark wins with the World’s Strongest Slam.  It looks like Mark Henry wants to completely take out The Uso’s one by one.

Still to come, Chris Masters will take on Tyler Reks.

Tyson Kidd is in the ring, his opponent is Zack Ryder.  Woo Woo Woo…You Know It!!

Zack takes the win when David Henry Smith comes out and tells Tyson they need to talk, it allowed that brief second for Zack to regain his wind, Tyson missed the Springboard Crossbody, and Zack gave him a Jumping Leg Drop to win the match.  Big win for Zack, it looks like splitsville for The Hart Dynasty.

This coming Tuesday night on NXT, Goldust and Aksana gets married, and someone gets eliminated.

Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to Smackdown’s version of Superstars and we see MVP, with new entrance theme.  His opponent is “The Impact Player” Curt Hawkins.

By the way, it’s amazing to me that Vance Archer and Curt Hawkins have not had a match to blow off their breakup.

MVP defeated Curt with the Play of the Day.  Good but very short match.  I have no clue what they are doing with Curt, you would think this means MVP is getting a push, but I doubt that will happen too.

Coming up next, Chris Masters taking on Tyler Reks for the main event of Superstars.

Before the match, another Raw Rebound with John Cena Vs Orton.  Why doesn’t Raw show a Smackdown Rebound?

Main event is up now, Chris Masters taking on Tyler Reks.

Tyler wins the match with a Backbreaker turned into a DDT, they need to give him a name for that because it looks like Tyler is here to stay.  Call it the Reks Flex or something like that.  The show ends.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

It’s a breath of fresh air that we did not have Michael Cole on tonight’s show, I hope that continues.  It’s bad enough he is on Smackdown, but to use him on Superstars too is just shoving him down our throats.  I like Scott Stanford.  Along with the matches, I guess they were fine but nothing monumental happened.  I did enjoy the Tyson Kidd-Zack Ryder match though, both looked good and Tyson, if given a chance can truly make a name for himself in the WWE.  But I hated the main event match.  Yes, it had Chris Masters on, but I just don’t see anything in Tyler Reks.  The guy barely did anything in ECW and certainly the fans didn’t care about him.  Nothing has changed, except his hair, but so what?  But whether I like him or not, WWE insists on pushing him, so here we are.  I miss Chavo, give me your thoughts on the show by emailing me at DJKevinGillman75@aol.com or drop me a line on the site.
