WWE Monday Night Raw 9/6/11….We’re Going To Hell

It’s Monday night, and that can only mean one thing….time for Raw.  We are 6 days away from Hell in a Cell, what will happen tonight?  Let’s tune in and find out.

Tonight, we will get to see CM Punk Vs Alberto Del Rio, we are in Kansas City, Missouri, and we have a cell at the top of the lights.  Previewing Hell in a Cell.

Michael Cole, Jim Ross, and Booker T welcome us to the show.

The COO of WWE, HHH kicks things off, again.

Last week, we see The Miz and R-Truth being fired from the company, Cole said the actions of HHH was a knee-jerk reaction.  What?  They touched a referee.

HHH wanted to explain his actions last week.  The Miz and R-Truth were fired, and the crowd boos that.  They were fired because of video they made after Night of Champions, explaining their actions for striking the referee.  There is a conspiracy here, people.

The Miz and Truth were fired because of their own actions, not because of a conspiracy.  He knew right there they were fired that moment they apologized, and he used them to get one more main event out of them.  Mark Henry is fined $250,000 for attacking Jim Ross and putting Jerry “The King” Lawler through an announce table.  He wants to make a point nobody is big enough than WWE.  He even fired his own best friend, for the good of the company.

Excuse Me….

Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler come out.

Dolph said HHH did the right thing, but he wants to know what HHH will do for him.  He was sucker punched by Wolverine, Hugh Jackman, it was all over the news, and all he did was try to steal the show.  Luckily, it was just a hairline fracture so he can still compete.  However, he can’t eat solid food.  So what is HHH going to do about this?

HHH doesn’t know what Dolph wants him to do, Hugh was a guest host, and he came out to interfere, and Hugh punched his glass jaw.  If he wants to, he can get security for him when the Muppets are guest hosting next month.

Now that’s funny.

Here is Cody Rhodes.

Why isn’t Randy Orton fined for what he did to Cody on Friday night?  Randy put Cody through the table, and he received 9 stitches.

HHH wished Cody had been stitched up on his mouth.

Randy cuffed him while he kicked his wife, and Cody was there a few years ago.  What happened then?  HHH went to his house and beat his ass down, man up Cody.

Christian comes out, he wants to know why HHH isn’t doing anything about Sheamus attacking him and costing him his title match on Friday night?

Because it was a Lumberjack match, you idiot.  You get thrown out, they have to throw you back in.

Christian asked Cody and Dolph to join him for the biggest lawsuit against HHH.  Unless, he gives him one more match for the World Heavyweight Title.

HHH said he will give him one more match, at Hell in a Cell, Christian will face Sheamus.  This Friday Night Smackdown, he faces Randy Orton, and tonight, he will face John Cena.

Is it for the WWE Title?

No, it isn’t.

Christian storms out of the ring, and says this isn’t fair.

How about Dolph?

HHH will make a match tonight, Dolph defending the United States Title against Zack Ryder….WOO WOO WOO….You Know It.

Now since Cody has staples on his head, he gets the night off.

Cody bad mouths HHH, and HHH orders Cody to defend his Intercontiental Title in a 10 man Battle Royal, and that match is next.

Tonight, John Cena will face Christian one on one.

Drew McIntyre is on TV.  From what I can tell it is, Daniel Bryan, John Morrison, Alex Riley, Justin Gabriel, Ezekiel Jackson, Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase, Drew, Sin Cara, and Sheamus.

Match starts right now.

Drew is out first.

The other Sin Cara drags the original Sin Cara out, and Daniel Bryan throws him out.

Alex Riley and Justin Gabriel are done after Sheamus kicked them out.

Daniel Bryan and John Morrison are done.

4 men are left.

Ted Dibiase is gone.

So is Big Zeke.

Cody and Sheamus are final two.

Cody eliminates Sheamus with his mask.  Christian was out during this match to distract Sheamus a bit.

Christian nails Sheamus into the pole and asked him how it feels to not have a championship.  Sheamus cost him his title match last Friday.  Their match is set this Sunday.

CM Punk taking on Alberto Del Rio, one on one tonight.

“The King” is out tonight after the actions of Mark Henry, he has internal bleeding.

David Otunga is with Vice President Talent of Relations, John Laurinaitis.  David wants John to do something about the way HHH has been dealing business lately, and John said he is the lawyer.  David does know some people, but John said let him handle it first, and he tweets “someone”.

Diva tag team match…again.  Divas of Doom will face Kelly Kelly and Eve.

Before the match, we see video footage of Kelly Kelly.

The match is up next.

Glam Slam, Thank You Ma’am, Beth finally defeats Kelly in the tag match.

Here comes Mark Henry, business has just picked up.

Mark is facing The Great Khali, next.

Mark Henry destroys Great Khali with World’s Greatest Slam.  The match is a no contest, and my goodness, Mark should keep the title this Sunday.

John Cena is out to address the Universe….next.

John Cena is out here, he is going to Hell.  This has to be a place to settle for the WWE Title, because ever since he lost it to Punk this past summer, there hasn’t been a definite answer.  So let’s settle it here, and the winner gets the title.  It’s Satan’s Playground, 20 tons of steel.  3 of the biggest forces will make history, and this Sunday, there is no way he will lose the title.

Here comes Alberto Del Rio.

Here comes CM Punk, they will both join the announcers during John Cena Vs Christian, and Punk is wearing his patented “Announcer’s Jacket”.

Match is on now.

Christian is DQ’d when Alberto Del Rio lays out CM Punk, and kicked John Cena in the ring.  This was a squash though, and that troubles me.

Del Rio said he is the only one coming back this Sunday.  It’s his destiny to become WWE Champion again, and we all can go to hell.

Still to come tonight, Del Rio is taking on Punk.

Zack Ryder finally get his title shot.  He is facing Dolph Ziggler for the United States Title right now.

Ziggler wins the match with Zig Zag after some help from Jack Swagger.

Dolph shakes Jack’s hand, and they attack Zack, but Air Boom comes out and helps Zack out.

Here comes Teddy Long.  He said we are going to have a 6 man tag team match with Dolph, Jack, and a partner taking on Air Boom and Zack, next.

It is a handicap match, why, I have no idea.

Check that, Mason Ryan is coming to the ring, so Vickie did find someone.

Mason Ryan turned face and went after Swagger and Ziggler, so Zack can give Dolph the Rough Ryder, and win the match for his team.

Zack Ryder has just made Booker T’s list of Fave Five….Woo Woo Woo…You Know It.

Still to come tonight, Alberto Del Rio will take on CM Punk.

Hell in a Cell video is being played now.

Otunga is with the other heels, telling them they need to protect themselves from the “unsafe” environment.  He isn’t sure if a lawsuit is needed, but if it is, they need to be together.

They all agree, and plan accordingly.

Main event time….Alberto Del Rio Vs CM Punk is on now.

Punk won the match with a Shining Wizard.  After the match, the Cell “mysteriously” comes down, while Ricardo Rodriguez was nagging Punk.  Cena, who was out for commentary came out of his chair, and put Rodriguez into the cell so that he and Punk can have some fun with him.  Of course, this leads to some friction to both men, and Del Rio laid them both out with chair shots and is left standing, ending the show.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Boy, this was a crappy Raw, I have to say the worst episode of the year.  It was completely boring, and here is the problem.  You can’t expect to set up a PPV with less than 2 weeks of buildup.  It’s just impossible, so what does Vince give us?  2 PPVs in the same month, why?  It does nothing for anyone.  Why not put HIAC towards the end of the month and use 4 weeks of buildup for your shows, and give the fans everything they can, more bang for the buck?  Why doesn’t anyone have the guts to say this to Vince?

Tonight was a waste of time here, so instead of analyzing everything, I will give you the parts of this show I did like.

Mark Henry continues to be built like a monster.  if Orton wins this Sunday, I will riot.

Zack Ryder was not just on TV, but HHH and Booker T both said his catchphrase.  You want to hear Booker say it?  Youtube it, very funny.  And yes, he picked up the pinfall victory over the United States champion again in a tag team match.

Other than that, the rest of the show was complete crap.  Do you agree, or disagree?  Email me at DJKevinGillman75@aol.com or leave me a note on the site.

  1. I see a new nWo debuting at Hell in a Cell. The groundwork has been laid Nash, Truth, n Miz are the first 3 members

I agree, if it’s not at HIAC, then surely some other time. Even Nash had the NWO music a few weeks ago, which was odd at the time, but it makes sense now.
