WWE Friday Night Smackdown 4/20/12…Yes!! Yes!! Yes!!

We are 9 days away from Extreme Rules, Smackdown is in London, England and we have the former World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan come out.  He made an appearance on The Soup with this past week, and when you do that, you have made pop culture.

Yes!!  Yes!!  Yes!!

That is what Daniel said at Wrestlemania, his first Wrestlemania as World Heavyweight Champion, and then he was distracted by someone, and within 18 seconds, that dream went up in smoke.

The problem is Sheamus didn’t even outwrestle him, he just found a loophole on how to win, and took advantage of it.  But in 9 days, things will go back to normal, he has a Best 2 of 3 Falls match against Sheamus, at Extreme Rules.  Sheamus can’t bully a referee, he can’t bully people like he did with Alberto Del Rio.  In 9 days, Daniel goes back to the city that made history for him, an event where nobody believed he can do it, a place where he cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase.

He can defeat Sheamus on 2 different times in that match, he can outwrestle him, and the question is will Sheamus take the cowardly way out, again?

AJ comes out, she wants to discuss their problems, but Daniel doesn’t want to hear any of that, she wants to wish him good luck in his match at Extreme Rules.

Daniel wishes he never saw her, he wishes that she never asked him out, and in fact, he wishes she was never born.

He will answer one more question….Is there ever a chance, a place in his heart he would ever take her back?  No.

He walks away, while AJ is crying.

We come back, and see AJ still in the ring, distraught over what happened, and here comes Natalya.

Natalya feels bad for AJ, but AJ attacks Natalya, and is angry, she doesn’t answer to the 5 count, and the referee DQ’s her.

AJ just walks back, crying.

Still to come tonight, The Big Show will face Alberto Del Rio.

Our hero Damien Sandow is telling us about ignorance.  You can follow him @TheDamienSandow on Twitter, or so they tell us.

Hunico is in the ring, ready for his match.

Oh boy, somebody call my Momma, here comes The Funky Funkasaurus.  But something isn’t right here, his brother isn’t here.  He asks Cameron and Naomi to go get him, and his brother is?  Hornswoggle.

Big splash, Brodus takes care of Hunico, and Hornswoggle adds a little Tadpole for good measure.

Our main event tonight is a big 6-man tag team match.  Daniel Bryan, Mark Henry, and Cody Rhodes is facing Randy Orton, The Great Khali, and Sheamus.

Teddy Long is backstage, looking for Aksana, he runs right into Titus O’ Neil and Darren Young, the newest members of Smackdown.  John Laurinaitis signed them up, and Johnny tells Teddy that.

They are all about “People Power”.

John gives him a Queen’s Guard hat on Teddy, and says do your job, don’t say a word.  And he is doing it well.

Matt Striker is in the locker room, with The Viper, Randy Orton.

Matt wants to know how is Randy feeling since Kane beat him and his father down last week on Tuesday.

How is Randy’s father?  Randy said he is the toughest man he knows, his dad will be fine, in time.  But he can’t say the same about Kane.  He shows that he isn’t a monster after beating his dad with a pipe backstage.  But at Extreme Rules, that is legal in a Falls Count Anywhere match, and at Extreme Rules, Kane will find out how twisted and sick Randy can be.

The new tag team of Darren Young and Titus O’ Neil will take on The Uso Brothers, now.

Titus and Darren win the match with a Top Rope Slingshot, with Titus doing the holding, and Darren doing the flying.  This team has potential, but then again, team and WWE doesn’t match.

Raw Rebound, featuring Chris Jericho vs CM Punk.

Big Show is headed to the ring, his match with Alberto Del Rio is up next.

ADR Vs Big Show, now.

Alberto Del Rio wins the match when Cody Rhodes hits a Beautiful Disaster kick, and after the match, Cody ran through the crowd.

When we come back, we see Drew McIntyre and Heath Slater check out the next victim of Ryback.

His name is Danny Lerman, and he is from Lester, England.

He is here to dedicate this match to his Mom, that’s not good.

He wins the match with a Muscle Buster.  Even Slater and Drew are impressed, as I am too.

Still to come, a big 6-man tag team match with Daniel Bryan, Mark Henry, and Cody Rhodes facing The Great Khali, Sheamus, and Randy Orton.

Coming up next, the controversial interview with Brock Lesnar.

The same interview from Raw is being shown, and this Monday on a 3-hour episode of Raw will feature John Cena and Brock Lesnar in an official contract signing.

Teddy Long is being harassed by William Regal, which is hilarious.  He then is being harassed by Aksana, who is with another new Wrestler, his name is Antonio Cesaro, who is the former Claudio Castagnoli.  Of course, since Teddy is acting like an officer guard, he doesn’t say a word, and Aksana makes fun of him for not being the boss anymore, so Johnny invites them both into his office to discuss the details of a contract.

Main event time, Daniel Bryan, Mark Henry, and Cody Rhodes Vs Randy Orton, The Great Khali, and Sheamus.

As The Great Khali enters the ring, Cody clips Khali’s knees, and is taken out, but enter The Big Show, so the 6 man tag match is set, when we come back.

Orton, Sheamus, and Big Show won the match when Orton gave Henry a RKO and send everyone home happy to end the show.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Another bland show tonight, here is the thing….I know writers write for separate shows, so why can’t we get the same pizzazz on Smackdown that we get on Raw?  No excuses, there, but hey we have a 3-hour episode of Raw this coming Monday night.  I’ll be here at 8:00 joining you.  What did you think of the show?  Send me your thoughts on email at DJKevinGillman75@aol.com, or send me your thoughts on the site.

A-J would be better off being in TNA..while Velvet and Sarita would be excellent editions to WWE…I FFD through a lot of Smackdown…including the Funkasarus or whatever he’s being billed as..no reason to watch..

Smackdown used to be a fun show, not anymore. Not even the addition of Orton last year did a whole lot. Vince needs to allow both Raw and Smackdown to run their own flow. SD used to have tons of wrestling, then again Christian being absent doesn’t help.
