WWE Monday Night Raw 8/26/12…The Game Has Something To Say

Is this the end of HHH’s career, or does he have something in store?  it’s that time of the night for Monday Night Raw.  Let’s tune in and find out, here we go.

We see footage of CM Punk kicking Jerry “The King” Lawler in the head, because King wouldn’t say that Punk is the “Best in the world.”

We are live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show.

Cole starts to read what King had tweeted last week, and King leaves the broadcast booth, and goes to the ring.

Last week, Punk demanded that he come to the ring, and apologize to him.  He did it out of respect to the WWE, but he was laid out by a kick to the head.  This week, he wants an apology from CM Punk.

Here comes the WWE Champion.

King wants the WWE Champion to apologize for doing his job?  At the Raw 1,000th episode, he said “CM Punk has just turned his back on the WWE Universe”, yet all he was doing was justifying by kicking The Rock.  But it was King who turned his back on the WWE Champion.  King walked out of the ring, and he shoved Punk aside, so he did what he had to do to protect himself.  But he will apologize to King because all he has done is beat a bunch of nobodies in Memphis just to get to the WWE Hall of Fame.  He is sorry that he has never been the WWE Champion, and he is jealous that he never has, and when he did get that shot, he lost.  He’s sorry that he never had his Wrestlemania Moment because he couldn’t even beat Michael Cole.  He’s sorry most of all about the man he has become.

What’s wrong Jerry?  Does he want to fight him?

King came for an apology, not a fight.

But Punk can see it in his eyes that he wants to fight, and who does King think the best in the world is?  He will leave this decision to King, he will be embarrassed in two ways, either he gets his tail cleaned tonight, for accepting the fight, or he is embarrassed because he did not accept it.

King said he will think about it.

Jack Swagger is in the ring, and he will lose to?

Ryback.

Ryback wins with Shell-Shock.  Swagger is on a losing streak.

Is The Game over for HHH?  We’ll find out later tonight.

We will also see John Cena face The Miz, and will the WWE Champion face King?  He’s thinking about it.

Natalya is in the ring, she is facing Layla, now.

Excuse Me…

Vickie has an important announcement to make, but nobody cares.

Layla wins the match with a kick to the head.

Excuse Me…

Vickie tells the Divas Champion she is done, and tells her to leave.  She has something to say.  Last week, the Raw General Manager AJ Lee forced Dolph Ziggler to put his MITB briefcase on the line against Chris Jericho.  That is an abuse of power, and totally unfair.  EXCUSE ME!!!!!  Nobody on the WWE roster has the guts to stand up to the General Manager, except her.  It’s time to put Raw in the hands of an adult, like her, and not some deranged child.

AJ Lee comes to the ring, skipping along.

Awesome.

She smiles at her, and slaps her.  They start to fight, and Vickie runs for her life.

We are waiting to hear from HHH, and if this is indeed the end of his career, we are looking back at that illustrious career tonight, starting off with his days with DX.

Tonight, is The Game over?  We’ll find out live, on Monday Night Raw.

Last week we see an Anger Management session with Daniel Bryan.  Daniel doesn’t believe he has an issue, but he lays it into a kid who comes in wearing a goat mask.  Daniel made this funny.

CM Punk tweeted saying that King can get the first punch, and this causes King to speak.  He said that he beat a bunch of nobodies in Memphis, he beat Harley Race, Jesse “The Body” Ventura, “Superstar” Billy Graham, Bill Dundee, he doesn’t think that Punk can last long in Memphis.  Punk also said that he acts like a 14-year-old sometimes, that might be true, but he likes to have fun.  He has never been a WWE Champion, well he isn’t the best in the world, and he also knows CM Punk isn’t too.  So is he going to fight?  You’re damn right he is, and he heads to the back.

We have our main event tonight.

We are set for our first big match, it will be John Cena Vs The Miz.

Josh Matthews joins us for the rest of the night at commentary.

Cena wins with an Attitude Adjustment, another good match between these two.

Tonight, Jerry “The King” Lawler is facing CM Punk, and AJ Lee is giving us a Raw Interactive to select the stipulation.  It will either be a Tables Match, a Steel Cage Match, or a No DQ Match, so vote on Twitter.

More footage from HHH, this time coming back to win the 2002 Royal Rumble after blowing out his Quad in 2001.

Will he end his career?  We will find out…tonight.

Tonight, we will see Sheamus and Randy Orton facing off against Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio.

More footage from the Anger Management this week, with Daniel Bryan saying how awful his boss is, and here comes the missing person, Kane.  More to come tonight.

“The One Man Band” Heath Slater is out for his match, taking on Santino Marella.

Damn, there goes that one match winning streak for Heath Slater.  Aksana just comes out to distract the Cobra, but Santino still wins, via The Cobra.  Yes, the sock found a way to win.

More tweets from the wrestlers, speculating if HHH is retiring.

I want to see more “Anger Management” sessions myself.

We can vote for what stipulation CM Punk Vs Jerry “The King” Lawler gets tonight, by tweeting it on Twitter with either a Tables Match, a Steel Cage Match, or a No DQ Match.

Brodus Clay is out for a match, he will team up with Sin Cara and will face Damien Sandow and his tag team partner….Cody Rhodes.

Cody said that Brodus is just like the fans in Milwaukee, obese, and Sin Cara at least wears a mask….for now.

This tag team is up next.

Clay and Sin Cara wins with Brodus hitting his big splash on Cody.

More Anger Management with Kane and Daniel Bryan.  The doctor wants to know about Kane’s childhood, and needless to say, Kane went through his entire life, all the way down to frying a man’s testicles, (Shane McMahon), and Tombstoning a priest, trying to stop Lita’s marriage to Matt Hardy.  “Harold” liked that Kane shared his childhood life.

Daniel wants to know if this is a real doctor.

Speaking of Daniel, he is facing R-Truth, next.

HHH’s Greatest hits is playing now, is his career done?  WE will find out tonight.

Truth Vs Daniel Bryan, now.

Daniel gets counted out when he gets into a Yes-No chant with the crowd.  There will be some explaining to do next week in those Anger Management classes.

Tonight, HHH will address his career, next.

Here comes the WWE COO….HHH.

The crowd gives him some love.

Everyone wants to know if HHH is going to retire?  One thing he learned about the WWE, never say never.  When he started in this business, 2 things he wanted to accomplish.  Do something people will remember, and to retire at a time when he isn’t forced to retire.  Everyone comes to a cross-road in their career.  You have to ask yourself, is it time?  Time is the one thing you can’t fight, time will win.  He never wanted to be the guy that was just hanging out, he didn’t want to be that guy that was around for nostalgia, or even just to collect a check.  He didn’t want to be that guy that couldn’t hold onto his kids, or be that punch drunk fighter, and he has found himself at that cross-road.  Brock Lesnar has made him ask himself that question, is he done?  He doesn’t know.  He is beat up, more tired than he has ever been, he is broken.  He wants to be in this ring to be the Cerebral Assassin, the King of Kings, The Game, HHH, the man who says he is coming back to kick Brock Lesnar’s ass, because that is what he does.  He wants to say that, but he can’t, and the truth is he doesn’t know if he can.  Brock Lesnar has forced him to say is he done?

If he can’t say he can come back to beat Brock, and if he can’t be better than before, then perhaps he has answered his own question.

The crowd chants he can’t do it, and he says maybe you’re right, but here is one thing he can say to the fans, thank you.  Every man, and woman who step into these rings have sweat, paid the price, done everything for one thing, their entertainment.  Everyone has a time to themselves and question if everyone can care, he can say one thing, every time he has gone through that curtain, the fans have shown they care.  With every injury, what has gotten him through that, was their reaction, and everything with it, thank you for letting him play The Game.  He will never, ever forget us, and hopefully if he has succeeded in his career, he has done something right, and we’ll never forget him.  Thank you.

The crowd chants thank you Hunter, and he leaves the area, with a tear in his eye.

Very good segment.

We hear Chris Jericho’s music, but it’s not Chris.  It’s Dolph Ziggler, and we are hearing that music because last week, he beat Chris, and we will never, EVER!!!!  see Chris again.

Our big tag team match is up now, Dolph and Del Rio Vs Sheamus and Orton.

Sheamus and Orton win the match with a Brogue Kick on Dolph Ziggler, by Sheamus.  Dolph was going to use the briefcase, but Orton stopped the briefcase, and Sheamus took care of business.

Jerry “The King” Lawler asks John Cena backstage to not interfere in his match tonight.  He has to know if he can beat him.  John agrees to that.

What kind of match will the two have?  A Tables match, a Steel Cage match, or a NO DQ match?

Kane comes out to the ringside, Josh Matthews runs and hides, and Kane joins Cole for commentary.

Zack Ryder…Woo Woo Woo will face David Otunga, now.

Ryder wins with a Rough Ryder.  Throughout the match, Kane put his headset on, and Cole was just talking, but he was funny here.  After the match, he runs up to Ryder, grabs his throat, and is about to chokeslam him, but he thinks about his Anger Management classes, and chooses to chokeslam Otunga instead.  Cole calls it a “breakthrough” because he would have chokeslammed both men.  That was funny.

CM Punk is getting ready for his match with King, what kind of match will it be?  We’ll find out, next.

This Friday night on Smackdown, Randy Orton goes one on one against “Mr. Money in the Bank” Dolph Ziggler.

Josh Matthews is in the ring, we will find out what match it is, now.

Surprisingly, it’s a cage match.

AJ Lee makes her presence known, she said no matter what happens tonight, CM Punk will defend his WWE Title against John Cena, at Night of Champions.

Our main event, Jerry “The King” Lawler Vs CM Punk, now.

CM Punk wins clean in the middle of the ring, with an Anaconda Vice, making King tap out.

Punk locks a bolt on the cage, and heads back in.  He wants King to say that he is the best in the world, while he locks on the Anaconda Vice again, but King refuses to do so.  John Cena heads out, and orders the officials raise the cage up.  When they do, Punk sneaks out, and we end the show again.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This was a better show tonight, and we had better timed events, not dragging the night away in some spots.  I also enjoyed the old school feel of the main event.  Young Lion Vs Grizzled Veteran, and the steel cage added to the twist.  We also have a firm main event of Cena Vs Punk, one on one at the PPV, and the two always tear the roof off the building.

We also had a strong segment with HHH.  The only problem is I doubt he is done, just because we have seen it so many times in Wrestling, but it will be a sad day indeed when Hunter does retire, for good.

Cena and The Miz had a strong match, we also had a good tag team match with Orton and Sheamus Vs Del Rio and Ziggler.

The Anger Management segments were very funny, and what I liked most was we didn’t see the segments all night, instead, just 3 simple scenes, and less is more.

Minimal AJ Lee, which isn’t good, but when she was on, they were impactful.  I can’t list a bad segment tonight, so overall, a fun show to watch.  What were your thoughts on the show?  Let me know.
