WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/7/12…Who Really Is In Charge Of Smackdown?

We see video from this past Monday night where Sheamus took out Ricardo Rodriguez with a Brogue Kick.  Ricardo is knocked out cold, and we hear from David Otunga, touting about a pending lawsuit against Booker T.

We see Otunga, ADR, and Ricardo Rodriguez walk out, Ricardo is sporting a neck brace, and they start the show off.

Michael Cole and Josh Matthews welcome us to the show.

Del Rio said he should be celebrating after defeating John Cena at Raw, this past Monday.  But he’s not, because of what happened with his one and true friend, Ricardo.  Sheamus will pay, and Booker T should ban The Brogue Kick, it is a criminal offense, unlike his Cross Arm Breaker that is beautiful.

David Otunga speaks, he is here to represent Ricardo, and anyone who believes the Brogue Kick is legal, check this out.

Video footage from Sheamus giving a Brogue Kick to many people.

Otunga just met with Booker T, and they demand compensation, and justice.  By making the Brogue Kick illegal, they will send the message….

Can You Dig It….Sucka!!!!

Here comes Booker T.

Booker said that what they talked about should have been held confidential, but they want to make things public?  Okay, we can do that.  He asks the fans if the Brogue Kick should be legal, they all scream yes, so therefore, it’s legal.

Josh Matthews is still on Booker T’s side, and he said they had their talk and seem to have an understanding.  Kane has been reprimanded, and he is fine with that.

Tonight, we will check out what happened this past Monday night, when CM Punk thought he’d have a night off in Chicago.

Coming up next, Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara Vs The Miz and Cody Rhodes.

Rey and Sin Cara wins when Rey hit a 619, drop the dime, and pinned the Intercontinental Champion, The Miz.

Daniel Bryan is trying to channel his nice side.  Hornswoggle wants a hug, but he won’t do it.  But he shakes his hand, and then kicks him in the foot, runs off.

When we come back, Otunga is in Booker T’s office.

Before he takes legal actions, he wants to show Booker T the effects a Brogue Kick can be.  Booker said enough, he will think about it.

Otunga needs to show Booker some more evidence.

Footage from this past Monday, where Daniel Bryan and Kane hugged it out in the middle of the ring.

Here comes Daniel Bryan.  He is facing Zack Ryder, right now.

Daniel wins the match with a No-Lock, after a hug by the two men, but he never let go, so the referee reversed the decision.

The Viper Randy Orton is making his way to the ring, next.

Damien Sandow shows up first, last week, he was forced into facing Sheamus.  He was unprepared, which is something he loves to do, prepare for his opponent.  So he did what he had to do, and that is leave the ringside for a countout.

Orton interrupts the fun, Sandow asked him what he was doing here for, and Randy said his name is Randy Orton, and he is not here to talk, he is here to fight.

Sandow said he isn’t ready, and Orton responded he just talked with Booker T to have his match changed, so he does have to wrestle.

Here comes “The Showoff” to scout this match, and it starts now.

Orton wins with a countout, Sandow runs away.  Ziggler tries to go after Orton, and Sandow comes back out, but is met with a RKO, and that’s all she wrote.

Otunga is showing Booker an X-Ray of a person with a normal spine, and Ricardo Rodriguez.  Booker said he will think about it, but in the meantime, Otunga has to get ready for a match later tonight, against Sheamus.

Kofi Kingston and R-Truth come out to commentate for the next match, a Triple Threat match for the Number One Contendership for the Tag team Titles.  The Uso Brothers Vs The Colon Cousins, Vs The Primetime Players.

Darren Young nailed Primo with Gut Check, Jimmy Uso used the splash on Primo, and Darren steals the pin.  Primetime Players are the new Number One Contenders, again.

Raw Rebound, next.

Bret “The Hitman” Hart returns to Raw this Monday night in Montreal.

Raw Rebound featuring Chi-Town Heat.  CM Punk took a personal day after scuffling with Jerry “The King” Lawler earlier in the day, but he came back with a vengeance during the Alberto Del Rio Vs John Cena, Falls Count Anywhere match, and he brought Paul Heyman to the dance too.

We see Teddy Long and Kaitlyn talk about matters, and here comes Dolph Ziggler.  He wants to talk to Booker T about facing Randy Orton at Night of Champions.  Not every match has to be for a title, since they have I believe 6 titles.  Teddy said he would advice Booker T for making the match happen.

The Barrett Barrage, Wade Barrett makes his return, next.

Wade is going to face Yoshi Tatsu, showing us he is still employed.

Barrett wins with a bare knuckled punch, as Cole put it.  He has the mic, and he said he didn’t come back for matches like this, he’s bored with them.  He came back for far better challenges, and he has sights on becoming a World Champion.

Speaking of World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus is making his way to the ring, next.

Alberto Del Rio comes out to scout, and our main event, Sheamus Vs David Otunga is taking place, now.

Sheamus wins the match, making Otunga tap out to the Texas Cloverleaf, because Booker T came out and has no other choice but to ban the Brogue Kick.  After the match, Sheamus and Del Rio are looking at each other to end the show.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

I guess this was an okay show, but I just don’t understand a few things here.  One of them is why put Booker T, an authority figure in this position?  So we have issues with both General Managers, and something tells me a change is on the horizon.  Why make Sandow, a future star look like a fool here?

Regardless, congratulations to Eve Torres for winning the reality show “Stars Earn Stripes”, WWE can’t do that, but I can.

So the Brogue Kick is banned, but that kick that Del Rio does is still in tact?  I think that kick can be more vicious than the Brogue Kick.  But whatever.

I also do not understand why Wade Barrett came back on Smackdown, and not on a live Raw.  Superstars can appear on both shows, so why not?  But I am glad to see Barrett back.

Orton Vs Ziggler for Night of Champions sounds like a good match.  We know those two can bring it anytime.

Overall, an okay show, just some questionable decisions, but what can you do?  What were your thoughts on the show?  Send me your thoughts, here.
