WWE Monday Night Raw 11/12/12…The King Returns

We are live in my home state of Columbus, Ohio, in fact a 2 and a half hour drive from here, so why am I not there?  Tonight, we will see the return of the legendary Jerry “The King” Lawler, who os returning to the broadcast since he had a heart attack 2 months ago.

We will also see who is going to be a part of Team Foley in the Survivor Series match, and WWE.com has promoted we will see CM Punk Vs John Cena, one on one, so here we go.

This is dedicated to the men and women fighting for our country, and have defended our country for over 200 years.  Thank you.

That new “Raw” announce guy previews us what is to come…tonight.

We are kicking off Monday Night Raw with The Viper, Randy Orton.  He’s coming out to face Dolph Ziggler, now.

Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show.

Orton wins the match with a roll up, Alberto Del Rio tried to interfere, but he couldn’t get the job done.

Del Rio, Ziggler, and Rodriguez tried to beat down Orton, but Kofi Kingston makes the save.

Enter Teddy Long?

Since Vickie Guerrero is so enriched with the AJ Lee scandal, on behalf of Booker T, he is turning this into a tag team match of Orton and Kofi taking on Ziggler and Del Rio, now.

Del Rio and Ziggler win when Del Rio gave Kofi an Enzuguri, picking up the big win, thanks in some part to Ricardo Rodriguez distracting the Intercontinental Champion.

Tonight, Jerry “The King” Lawler will return tonight, and Vickie Guerrero is out next, to give us more evidence of the AJ Lee Scandal.

When we come back, Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero are in the ring.  Dolph is here for one reason, and that is the truth.

We see footage the last few weeks concerning John Cena and AJ Lee.

Excuse Me….

Vickie said last week, AJ said if she was in the same ring as she was, she would be giving Vickie a beating of her life.  May she remind everyone, she is the Managing Consultant, she is the boss, and she will not be threatened by anyone.  She requests AJ to come to the ring, and explain herself.

Here she comes.

AJ asks why Vickie is doing this, she cost AJ her job, and Vickie interrupts her, saying she did everything herself.  Just own up to what she did, and everything will be okay.

AJ said she is not going to lie, she doesn’t care who Vickie is, but Vickie reminds AJ she is her boss.

Be very careful of what she says, because Vickie is more than just her boss.

Just admit she had an affair with John Cena, just admit it.

Okay, AJ admits it.  She admits the truth, John Cena and AJ…..

are just friends.

Now how about Vickie admitting the truth, this is about Vince McMahon appointing her at Raw 1,0000 as the new General Manager, and not Vickie.  This is about AJ embarrassing Vickie not once, but twice, and she can do it again.  She is just throwing her weight around, and that is pretty considerable.

Okay, AJ, she went too far.

Now, she is going to have to show some evidence.

We hear taped voice message from AJ, saying she and John will have to stop doing this, and when she sees him, she loses control.

It was AJ, but let’s play another one.

AJ still has feelings with John.  Vickie hacked into Cena’s phone?  She denies it, and calls Vickie a lying, desperate….

Ziggler cuts her off, and says it is all over, we all know something happened, and now….she can’t see him.  What was more disappointing?  The fact that she can’t see him anymore, or the fact she spent a few nights in his room.

Now here comes Cena.

AJ cuts him off, and slaps Ziggler, Cena then decked him for good measure.

This feud isn’t doing Ziggler any favors.

Still to come tonight, Cena will face CM Punk, one on one.

We see the video footage of The Big Show, Sheamus, and William Regal.

Big Show is in action, next.

We see an awesome video of veterans coming back home from Afghanistan.

We come back, and see Cena check on AJ to make sure she is okay.  To think that they pulled off something that never would happen.

Never would happen?

Cena is speechless, and says okay, it didn’t happen.

Big Show Vs William Regal, now.

Big Show takes care of Regal with ease, a chokeslam did him in.

Big Show is setting up the KO Punch, but Sheamus comes out and takes Show out.

This Sunday, these two men lock horns, again.

Our next match is Layla Vs Kaitlyn, winner faces Eve Torres at Survivor Series.

Kaitlyn wins with a Scorpion Death Drop.  A very, very quick match here.

Coming up next, Jerry “The King” Lawler will make his return, and we see footage from 9 weeks ago.

Jim Ross and Michael Cole introduce us the return of Jerry “The King” Lawler.

He looks very good, coming back to the home state of where he once lived, in Ohio, along with Memphis, Tennessee.

Jerry chants are thundering all over Columbus.

Words can’t describe how he feels, he never thought he’d be here, but this reminds him of a classic movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” where he never realized how many people loved him, after the emails, and letters he has received.  He thanks the fans.

Here comes CM Punk.

Punk is glad Jerry left the ring when he did, because if he didn’t, he would have beaten him again.  The fans boo him, but they don’t boo Lawler.  He cheated death, and became a zombie, hey, he loves zombies.  But a 62-year old man putting his tights on, and thinking he can go toe to toe with the WWE Champion, that is disrespectful.  Shame on the people for sending him nasty tweets, blaming Punk for the demise of Lawler, when the blame falls squarely on Lawler.  Shame on him for taking some of his time.  People say that Lawler was dead for so many minutes, but he says so what, how about this number….358 days, and he has been WWE Champion, tying “Big Daddy Cool” Diesel for the 9th longest reign in WWE history.

And that number will grow after next Monday, when he defeats both Ryback and John Cena at Survivor Series.  King responds by saying his title reign is on life support after he faces the two men at Survivor Series.

Punk tries to resort a comeback, but Paul Heyman fakes a heart attack, and I guess Punk “saved” his life.

Here comes Mick Foley.

Foley said it’s ironic that a man like Punk feels he earns respect, yet he disrespect the one man who commands respect, like Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Punk also wants to know why he is here, when Vince McMahon decided to take matters in his own hands, and take him away from the Survivor Series match, so Foley doesn’t matter to him.

Foley told him to shut up, a man died, but out of the grace of God, helps from the paramedics, and the prayer from the WWE Universe, a man came back to life.  That means the world does not revolve around Punk.

Now Foley admits when he first heard the news of Vince McMahon changing plans at Survivor Series, he was upset, but he explains that WWE Universe will choose his 5th man at the event, tonight.

Punk gives him some advice of stop caring what the fans think, he did so long ago, and he is doing much better.  Foley tells him that he enjoyed the fact of his team showing Punk what respect is all about, but it looks like Cena and Ryback will do that, anyway.

Punk asks him why Foley is even out here, and Foley responds to say he is here, because right here in Columbus, Ohio, he will serve as the special enforcer for tonight’s Cena Vs Punk match.  Have a nice day.

Tonight, Brad Maddox will try to earn a WWE contract, he faces Ryback.

Coming up next, a big 8 man tag team match of Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, Tyson Kidd, and Justin Gabriel will face The Prime Time Players and The Colon Cousins.

When we come back, Punk is upset that Foley is the Special Enforcer, and thinks even Heyman doesn’t care about him.  Fix it, what about Brad Maddox?  It doesn’t matter, fix everything.

Big 8 man tag match is up now.

Rey, Sin Cara, Tyson Kidd, and Justin Gabriel win with a combined 619, 450 splash, pinning Darren Young.  A big win for the 4 men.

Brad Maddox is preparing for his match, and Paul Heyman wants a word with him.

Fandango is coming to WWE.

The Miz is on the phone, he will find a way to make an impact to be on the show.  Ziggler comes over, and he is waiting for The Miz to beg his way back on Team Ziggler, didn’t he see him mold Del Rio into pinning Kofi earlier tonight?

No, Miz didn’t see it, but he did see him getting pinned by Orton, and he also saw him get slapped by a girl.

Miz main evented Wrestlemania, has Ziggler ever done that?  Miz won the WWE Title, how about Ziggler?

Mick Foley comes in, and Ziggler asks Foley what he is wearing, the two men get into it, and Foley challenges any two men of Team Ziggler to face any two men of Team Foley, later tonight.  Ziggler agrees, and chooses Team Rhodes Scholars, who will Foley choose?  Kane and the person that wins the Raw Active poll tonight.

Miz asks Foley to be included, they may not like each other, but it would be great if Foley can defeat Team Ziggler, wait, it would be awesome.

Foley doesn’t like The Miz’s chances, but he agrees to be one of the three choices.

In fact, we have the three choices.  Either Santino Marella, Zack Ryder, or The Miz.  So you can vote, on Twitter.

R-Truth is heading to the ring.  This Sunday, he faces Antonio Cesaro, for the United States Title.

Antonio Cesaro comes out, and berates Truth, as he comes to the ring.

Truth Vs Tensai, next.

Truth wins with Little Jimmy.  Cesaro and Truth get face to face, but Truth says he will stick his fist down Cesaro’s throat, the is the truth, and nothing but the truth.

Brad Maddox is heading to the ring, his date with destiny against Ryback, is next.

We get a recap from tonight’s Raw, featuring the ongoing AJ Lee scandal, and Jerry “The King” Lawler’s return.

Brad Maddox Vs Ryback is up now, with an ambulance heading into the building.

Feed Me More…

Ryback takes care of Brad with Shellshock.

Ryback took care of Brad Maddox, and sent him out of the building in an ambulance.

Still to come tonight, John Cena will face CM punk, with Mick Foley as the Special Enforcer.

Coming up next, Sheamus will face David Otunga.

Moments ago, we see what we just saw, and coming up next, we will see who is a part of Team Foley at Survivor Series.

Sheamus Vs Otunga, now.

Brogue Kick, that is all she wrote.

Sheamus hopes that Big Show is watching this, because he will hit Big Show with a Brogue Kick, and take back his World Heavyweight Title.

Big Show attacks William Regal, and tells Sheamus this is what will happen this Sunday, a KO Punch.

Josh Matthews is backstage, he told us that William Regal is conscious, and it seems that he has suffered a concussion, and a broken jaw bone.

Kevin Costner, and WWE, something you never thought you’d hear, but it’s for a good cause.  They are a part of Wounded Warrior, at Woundedproject.org.

Kane is walking backstage, and Daniel Bryan told him they need to talk.  Kane asks what does he want, Daniel wants to wish Kane luck ON HIS NEW PARTNER!!!

Kane doesn’t have a new partner, they have a new teammate.  Daniel never would have done that, if Foley asked him to tag with someone else.

Kane walks away.

Team Rhodes Scholars Vs Kane, and the newest member of Team Foley is up now.

The newest member of Team Foley?

The Miz, and here comes Daniel Bryan.

Miz and Kane defeated Team Rhodes Scholars, with a chokeslam on Rhodes, by Kane.  Daniel Bryan was charging after The Miz, but Miz moved away, and rammed Daniel into Rhodes.  Daniel took some credit for the win, making this segment very entertaining.

This December, WWE Tribute to the Troops, with Kid Rock, Flo Rida, and The Muppets on USA Network, and NBC.

Coming up next, John Cena Vs CM Punk, with Mick Foley as the special enforcer.

Cena defeated Punk with Attitude Adjustment.  Punk tried to leave, but Ryback came into the ringside, and prevented him from leaving.

Now Ryback and Cena are having a face to face.

Feed Me More…

They both grab the WWE Title, and when Punk tries to reach for it, they back him away.  The show ends when the two men have it again, and Punk gets on the ring ropes, saying it’s his.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This felt like a big Raw, and it delivered.  We had a good main event, which built into the Triple Threat match this Sunday.  A new team member is added to Team Foley.  Overall, it was a good show.

But I want to touch on Jerry “The King” Lawler coming back.  It’s great to see him back, and he truly did look good.  What bothered me a bit was not CM Punk using that heat on himself, but rather Heyman faking a heart attack.  I know, it’s been done before on TV, so none of it shocking, but sometimes, you don’t do that, just to do it.  There is a time, and a place for it, and this was not the time, nor the place.  And Mick Foley coming out was pointless, since he didn’t do much at the end.  The focus had to be on the triple threat match, and not Jerry, or Foley.  So I am a bit disappointed in seeing that.  Otherwise, this was a good show, with a hot crowd throughout the night.  What did yu think of the show?  Send me your thoughts on the site.
