WWE Tribute To The Troops 12/19/12

President Obama gives us a brief statement, talking about how proud he is of the men and women that have fought for this country.

10 years in the making, Tribute to the Troops.  That moment where we get to honor those men and women, fighting for us.

The wrestlers give us their thoughts on 10 years.

Here we go.

We are in Norfolk, Virginia, the 10th Anniversary of Tribute to the Troops, featuring the WWE Superstars, and entertainers all around the world, all giving a piece of Americana for the Troops.

Michael Cole and JBL welcome us to the show.

Tonight, we see John Cena face Antonio Cesaro.  JBL started the Tribute to the Troops 10 years ago, and WWE went from that idea to an annual tradition.

Our first match is a tag team match, featuring Sheamus and Randy Orton facing Dolph Ziggler and Big Show.

Big Show and Dolph walk away, and are counted out.

But wait a second, here comes the Smackdown General Manager, he says there must be a winner, and the match restarts, now.

Sheamus and Orton win when Randy RKOs Big Show, and Sheamus lays him out with a Brogue Kick.

This is the match where Orton separated his shoulder, and from what I can see he popped it on a bump.  It’s amazing the kind of pain these wrestlers go through day in, and day out.

Flo Rida performs next.

Fergie tells us how proud she is of the troops.

“Fierce Five” the US Olympic Gymnastics Women team all wish the troops a Happy Holidays/

The Muppets, with Gonzo, Rizzo, and Pepe all watch Layla prepare for her match later tonight.  It seems after Gonzo leaves, Pepe and Rizzo hit on Layla.

Flo Rida is now performing “Let it Roll”.

Josh Matthews is with John Cena.

What does Tribute to the Troops mean to John?  The answer never changes, it is always an honor and a privilege to say thank you to the only way he knows how, by bringing the WWE Universe to get loud, and excited.  Listen to the crowd, they have the excitement, and they have something special, courage, providing protection, and freedom.  Tonight, it’s about you enjoying what we are doing for you.

Still to come tonight, Kid Rock will perform, and next, it will be Ryback Vs Alberto Del Rio.

Del Rio comes out, and he has something to say.

Tonight, this is about the Troops, but this is about something else, celebrating Ricardo Rodriguez’ birthday, so let’s all join in and sing Happy Birthday to him.

Del Rio sings Happy Birthday in spanish, but Ryback ruins the fun.

The match is on, now.

Ryback wins on a DQ when Ricardo jumps on his back, Del Rio exits the ring, and Ryback gives Ricardo a Birthday gift, Shellshock.

Del Rio jumps in, and he is greeted with Shellshock too.

Feed me more.

Kid Rock is up next.

Kid Rock sings “Let’s Ride”.

Josh Matthews wants to interview Kermit the Frog.  Fozzy Bear opens the door, and Josh asks him if Kermit is nervous about being a part of Miz TV.  Fozzy said he has butterflies in his stomach, and he usually has mosquitos….Wakka Wakka Wakka.

The Miz is here to expose Kermit the Frog.

We all deserve to know the truth, what is his relationship with Miss Piggy.  Don’t ask, don’t tell.

His second guest is Miss Piggy.

Does Kermit love Miss Piggy?  Do you?  Do you want to marry Miss Piggy?  Do you?  They are just a frog and a pig that care about each other deeply.

Really?

Really?

Really?

Then take her hand in marriage, right now.

Here is Damien Sandow.

The only outrage is here is this show.  What happened to you Mr. Mizazin?  He used to be someone everyone could look up to, someone they respect, now he just talks to a pig, and a frog.

Damien said that 78% took her picture out of their wallets, and put his picture to replace it.

He doesn’t know anyone that would love to marry a pig, except The Miz, when both are overzealous, overrated, and a ham.

She starts to hit Damien, but Miz stops it, and hits him instead.

We have a match now between Damien and The Miz.

The Miz wins the match with a roll up.

Miz celebrates with Kermit and Piggy.

Flo Rida is next, he is performing “Wild One” again.

A look back at 10 years for Tribute to the Troops.

Team Hell No is backstage, ready for their tag match with Little Jimmy, but here comes R-Truth,  He said Little Jimmy couldn’t be here tonight, but he is taking his place.

They faced 3MB with Truth winning the match, thanks to a Little Jimmy.

Kid Rock is next, and he’s performing “Born Free”

Josh Matthews is with Antonio Cesaro.  He faces John Cena tonight,  Why aren’t they running shows like this in Switzerland?  Because they are neutral, they don’t butt in places they have no business in being.  But tonight he is not being neutral against Cena.

Cena is heading out, and while stars say hello, our main event is up next.

Cena wins with Attitude Adjustment, the fans are happy.  The one night all of their heroes win every single match.

The superstars show up, and Cena gets to thank everyone that was involved, the men, women, wives, children/  Great speech, and this allows the other WWE roster to come down, and shake hands of the men and women.

The show ends here.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

A very show that is put on every year, and it never gets old.  Thank you to the men and women that have truly sacrificed themselves to protect us.  Thank you.  Give me your thoughts to the show.
