Impact Wrestling 12/27/12…Open Fight Night….Aries Vs Roode

No bowling for me tonight, I home sick with a cold, so now is the perfect time to sit back and watch Impact.  Let’s do this.

Tonight is Open Fight Night, with our show being in Orlando, Florida, The Impact Zone.

Bully Ray makes his way to the ring, to kick off Open Fight Night.

The last couple of weeks, the last couple of months, there is no doubt Bully Ray and Hulk Hogan can’t get along.  What does he have to do to prove he is trust worthy?  He has a lot of respect for Hogan, and since this is Open Fight Night, he wants to call Hogan out to talk, not fight.

Hulk is not out, here comes Brooke.  She tells Mark he knows about them.  How does he know?  There is nothing to know.  Someone must have had a phone, or a copy of last week’s show?  She wants to show Hulk that he is the man Brooke knows he is.

Bully walks away.

How does he know?

Todd Kenneley, Mike Tenay, and Taz welcome us to the show.  Here comes Austin Aries, to the ring.

Everyone knows A-Double had Jeff Hardy beat last week, and could be the World Heavyweight Champion, but the man he is about to call out screwed him out of that match.  Bobby Roode, but he can’t be mad, because he screwed him first.  So Austin screwed Roode, and Roode screwed Austin.  So now we are tied at 1-1, and let’s decide this once and for all, but let’s not do this now, let’s do this where it should be, the match that will end 2012, in the main event.

And so it should be, as we go to a commercial break.

Here comes Samoa Joe, issuing a challenge.  His victim?  Masked man from Aces and 8’s.

Joe wins with a Coquina Clutch.  The mask will come off.

But here comes Aces and 8’s to stop him.

The Shore is backstage, tonight is their night.  Jesse walks over, and Robbie E. asks him where his girl is at, and Jesse calls Robbie E. Robbie T’s girl, those are fight words, but actually for these two bro’s, it’s a bro-off, bro.

Kenny King is backstage with Christian York, confident that RVD will choose him to fight tonight, since he already beat RVD.  It’s time to get noticed.

Robbie E. is out to call out the “Robbie-wanna-be” Jesse.

Jesse corrects him to say he is “Mr. Pectacular”.

It’s time for a Bro-off, and the rules are.

1.  Take the spotlight, bro.

B.  Everything has to end in a bro, bro.  Since he is a bro, bro, he starts it off first, bro.  So Mr. DJ-Bro, hit his music, bro.

And Robbie E. dances, on the spotlight, bro.

Top that, bro.

Jesse takes the spotlight, and poses, even ending with Tara as his weight.

That’s how you bro-off, dude.

Robbie was impressed with that, but there are 2 problems….

1.  It’s Bro, not ho’s.

And….

3.  He ended it with a dude, not a bro.  So he is disqualified, and the winner is….

Robbie T interrupts, and says there is one more bro.

Robbie poses now, and he even uses E. as a weight.

Now the music changes, and it’s done Robbie T. style, complete with a backroll, and he ended with Bro, Bro.

Drops the mic, and leaves.

RVD is out next, who will he challenge?

Rob Van Dam is coming out.  He has elevated the X-Division and now wants to call out someone who he has a ton of respect and has incredible athleticism.

Kenny King thinks he is the chosen one, but it’s Christian York.

So the match is set, now.

RVD wins the match with a Rolling Thunder, and a Five Star Frogsplash.

Aces and 8’s are in their clubhouse, giving Doc 2 women to share.

Joseph Park’s training continues.

When Joseph snapped last week, that made Danny Davis proud.

Bad Influence are backstage, checking out their merchandise.  There is no more, and now CD has one more big surprise for us.

Kaz throws out “Cowboy” James Storm’s merchandise in the trash.

Bobby Roode is ready for his fight tonight against Austin Aries.  And at Genesis, he is fixing to beat Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight Title.

Here comes the “Ring General” one more time, Daniels tells us that he beat AJ Styles one last time, until the time they meet again, so let’s do this one more time.

Here comes “The Phenomenal One” AJ Kazarian.

Daniels wants to know if AJ Kazarian wants to wrestle Christopher Daniels one last time….again.

AJ Kazarian gives us a very good impression of AJ Styles, saying this is the worst freaking year of his life, Daniels is a better man than he is, and he even beat him with his own Styles Clash.

He is so depressed, he’s going to go find Claire Lynch, and Daniels stops him there, saying it’s okay that they won’t fight, but instead the fans can admire how great they are.

Chavo and Hernandez come out to challenge them to a fight, and here we go.

Chavo and Hernandez win when Chavo hits a Frogsplash, pinning Daniels.

Jason Hervey asks Jeff Hardy what his feelings are between Bobby Roode and Austin Aries. He respects both men professionally, but not personally.  Revenge is coming at some point, but he’s going to enjoy watching them beat the hell out of each other tonight.

Aces and 8’s are talking to Ken Anderson, and we see the same two women try to persuade their offer.  He’s going to have some time to think about it.

Here comes Gail Kim, she is calling out Brooke Tessmacher, the woman who beat her for the Knockout Title in 2012.

Gail wins with Eat Defeat, and our main event…Roode Vs Aries is next.

Next week, Vengeance will have his name….1-3-13, he is coming for Aces and 8’s, and Doc is first.

End Game, next week….it’s Showtime.

Next week, who will be rewarded TNA Superstar of the Year.  We will also have a tag team main event, Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle will face Aces and 8’s, inside a steel cage, and Sting will make an appearance too.

Our main event, Bobby Roode Vs Austin Aries is now.

Earl Hebner is sick of seeing these two cheat, so Roode and Aries responds by kicking Earl in the gut, and throwing him out of the ring.

No Contest, and here comes Jeff Hardy, taking them both out, and sending a message as the show ends.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

It was a dumb ending, and might I add too they added those thoughts Jeff Hardy is thinking, when he was in the crowd watching the match….Batman style.

The show was fine though, at times entertaining, and at other times, just there.  I did like the AJ Styles impression Frankie gave tonight.  Looking to see “Cowboy” have something to say next week about his merchandise being thrown out.

And they are setting up 1-3-13 to be a big show.  I think we will see a new member of Aces and 8’s, but it won’t be Mr. Anderson.  Perhaps Joe?  Or Bischoff and Briscoe?  Or someone unexpected?  And Sting is coming back, in his patented Black and White face paint, as he would say, IT’S SHOWTIME!!
