WWE Monday Night Raw 3/4/13…Old School Raw

Tonight, we are in for a special treat, legends, current superstars ignite, and we have Old School Raw….Then….Now….Forever.

We are live in the First Niagara Center, in Buffalo, New York.

Gong!!

Gong!!

Gong!!

It really is The Undertaker, he is back, kicking off the show. He doesn’t say anything, but to make it clear, he is back for Wrestlemania.

The old theme music starts off, and we are rolling with Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcoming us to the show.

We get the siren from 1993, and the old pyro too. Here comes CM Punk and Paul Heyman.

Punk should be main eventing this year’s Wrestlemania. He should be defending his Championship at this year’s Wrestlemania. But he isn’t, not because of what he did, or didn’t but, he isn’t, because of the fans. We screwed him of what is the most precious to him. In screwing Punk, we screwed ourselves. If he isn’t main eventing Wrestlemania, then he might as well not be at Wrestlemania.

But what he just saw gives him that purpose. What we took from him, he will take from us. He will beat The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. We like our streaks? When he brings up his 434 day title reign, we roll our eyes. But the fans have done nothing in their lives, so we like our numbers, he has a number for us….20-1. That 1 is straight edge, drug free. That number represents that CM Punk beat the streak, so do something about it.

Enter Randy Orton, the 9-time Champion.

Orton wouldn’t be so confident, he already beat Punk at Wrestlemania, but Punk has never faced Undertaker at Wrestlemania, but he has. He was a rookie, and he came so close in beating him, he is not a rookie anymore, he is an Appex Predator, so he wants to know from the fans who they would rather face Undertaker? CM Punk, or Randy Orton.

Here comes The Big Show.

Big Show, just like Orton had faced Undertaker before, but he didn’t have this fist. Punk and Orton have no chance to beat The Undertaker, because they aren’t a giant.

Here comes Sheamus.

Unlike the three men, he has never faced Undertaker before, so he has never lost to him. Now they have a GTS, a RKO, or the big fist, but they don’t have the luck of the irish.

Excuse Me…..

Vickie Guerrero comes out to tell us we will have a Fatal 4-way to determine who faces The Undertaker, at Wrestlemania.

Tonight, we will get a Point-Counterpoint from The Rock and John Cena. We will also hear from HHH, who plans to address Brock Lesnar.

Ryback Vs Antonio Cesaro, next.

Social Media was around in 1993, because Michael Cole continues to tell us what is trending on Twitter.

Cesaro Vs Ryback is up now.

Ryback wins with Shellshock, after Antonio set Ryback up with a Neutralizer.

Somebody is going to get their ass kicked….

Mark Henry is headed to the ring, he and Ryback go face to face, but Mark heads into the ring.

Mark is set for the next match, will face New York’s own Zack Ryder.

I don’t like Ryder’s chance here.

World’s Strongest Slam, that is all she wrote.

That’s what he does.

Fatal 4-way tonight with Randy Orton Vs CM Punk Vs Sheamus Vs Big Show….winner goes on to Wrestlemania to face The Undertaker.

Dolph Ziggler Vs The Miz, next.

Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnndangooooooooooooooooooooo premieres tonight.

The Marine 3: Homefront comes out to DVD and Blu-Ray tomorrow.

The Miz is in the ring, and since WWE is attributing Old School, allow him to introduce a man who is filled with old school. “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The Miz makes Ziggler tap out to the Figure Four, while Flair tried to counter with Big E. Langston, but those chops had no effect. Miz kicked Big E. out-of-the-way, and hit the Figure Four on Ziggy.

Cole and King remind us that Undertaker returned, and they want to hear our touts about who should face Taker at Wrestlemania.

WWE Magazine has 3 different collection issues, with Brock Lesnar, The Rock, and John Cena on the respective covers.

Point….Counterpoint with John Cena and The Rock is next.

Here comes the WWE Champion, The Rock heading to the ring.

The Rock was just in Central America, where it is 95 degrees every single day. But The Rock knew he was coming to Raw, and excited he was coming to Raw. So he packed his bags, his boots, his boots to asses boots, and he saw a woman at the airport. She asked if he needed a jacket, and The Rock said he didn’t need a jacket, her name was Pamela….it doesn’t matter what her name is, The Rock doesn’t need a jacket. But he got off the plane, and sweet honey boo-boo it’s cold in Buffalo. His nipples are frozen like icicles, but finally, after 10 long years….The Rock is back in Buffalo.

But The Rock is happy to be in Buffalo, because it means we are on the road to Wrestlemania. 34 days to be exact.

Here comes the Number One Contender, John Cena.

Cena is glad we are 34 days away from Wrestlemania, he has circled that date a year ago. Rock can’t know why, because he is a man who conquered the WWE in the Attitude Era, he left, and conquered Hollywood, and came back, and conquered WWE again. He has done everything right. He has never failed at anything. Last year at Wrestlemania, he told everyone that listened, that he needed that match, and he failed. Rock doesn’t know what that does to a man. It makes you feel worthless.

The fans chant Cena Sucks, and he doesn’t even care.

That moment, that match at Wrestlemania sent his life in a tailspin. Something happened in his life that effected his professional life, and personal. Rock was responsible for his collapse, and yet he was the very reason for his turnaround.

You think it was more than coincidence that on that very same night Rock won the WWE Title, he won the Royal Rumble? You think it was coincidence that he never beat CM Punk, and yet last week, he did?

Cena has a shot at redemption, he has a shot at re-writing history. So he has 34 days to give Rock a heads-up, he is not throwing this chance away.

Rock respects John Cena, saying there is nobody as passionate as Cena, nobody has the fire like John. He is happy to see that, because he is the man who said he would beat CM Punk, and he did. There was one man Rock wanted to face at Wrestlemania, and that is Cena. He knows what this match means to him. He knows that every night when he comes to the ring, he slides through the ropes, kiss the dogtags, and is ready to fight. He knows nobody in that locker room has his passion, that fire, that drive to succeed, except one man…The Rock.

As much as it matters to cena, it matters so much more to The Rock. When that music hits, and he enters the ring, he connects to every single person in the arena, and he connects to the ones watching TV. That fire, that drive, that connection. Know this John, in 34 days, he isn’t getting redemption, he is getting his ass kicked.

Now Cena is quoting the great Mike Tyson. In his prime, he is quoting to say “In order to be the greatest to ever live, you have to beat the greatest that is living”. John has reached every single goal, except for The Rock. At Wrestlemania 29, Rock’s time is up, Cena’s time is now.

The Rock quotes another great man, the quote goes like this…..”Winning is about heart. You just have to have it at the right place”. The man who said that was Lance Armstrong. He was full of crap, and so is Cena.

Cena is all about making history, in 34 days, he will become the WWE Champion.

Rock said this is the biggest difference between Cena and Rock. Cena thinks he can beat Rock….Rock KNOWS he can beat Cena. And at Wrestlemania 29, in 34 days, Rock will beat Cena….again. If ya smell what The Rock is cooking.

34 days, The Rock Vs John Cena II

Tonight, Fatal 4-Way between Randy Orton Vs Sheamus Vs Big Show Vs CM Punk, winner faces The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 29.

Also tonight, HHH is here to address Brock Lesnar.

Cole and King welcome us to the show, again. Earlier tonight, The Undertaker made his return to WWE.

“The Real American” Jack Swagger is in the ring, and he is scheduled to face Hacksaw Jim Duggan, with “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes and Sgt. Slaughter accompanying Hacksaw, tough guy…..HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The match never takes place, Swagger grabs Hacksaw’s board, and nails all the legends. Points to Wrestlemania sign, and screams out….

We The People!!!

He nails a Patriot Act on Duggan.

We get a sneak peek at “Marine 3: Homefront”.

Team Hell No are in their way to the ring, they face Primetime Players, next.

Fatal 4-way later tonight to determine who faces The Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

Jack Swagger is being interviewed by Josh Matthews, but Alberto Del Rio attacks Swagger.

“Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase is at ringside for our next match, Team Hell No Vs Primetime Players.

Team Hell No win with a Chokeslam, Kane pinning Darren Young.

Dibiase has a hundred-dollar bill, and shoves it in Darren Young’s mouth. Everybody has a price.

Daniel Bryan takes the money out of Darren’s mouth.

Honkytonk Man is on his way out to the ring, next.

Brodus Clay and Tensai are headed to the ring now. They are facing 3MB, with The Honkytonk Man coming to the ring.

Honky has the mic, but Heath interrupts him. Nobody came to see Honky talk, they came to see 3MB….BABY!! Now he needs to head back to Vegas with the other Elvis impersonators.

Tensai and Brodus win with a rollup, Tensai pinning McIntyre.

Honky interrupts the dancing, because Honky wants to join them.

Heath gets into Honky’s face, and Honky plays a tune on Heath’s head with his guitar.

Old School Raw.

Fandango makes his in-ring debut next, and will face Kofi Kingston.

They are showing Wade Barrett’s debut movie, “Dead Man Down” and we see the premiere from last week.

Kofi is ready for the match, and here comes Faaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnndannnnnnnnnnnngo.

But Justin Roberts announces him as Fandango, and that’s not good enough. He makes Justin pronounce the name….Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnndanggggggooooooooooooooo.

Justin still isn’t getting it, so Fandango will not stand here and watch him butcher his name. Tonight will be the night everyone remembers the name of Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnngo.

Coming up next, “The Game” addresses Brock Lesnar.

We see footage from last week when HHH made his return, and fought Brock Lesnar.

Here comes “The Game” heading to the ring.

Last time he stood in this ring, it was 8 days after Summerslam. 8 days after Brock broke his arm for the second time. The last time he was in the ring, he said he might be done. But the problem is he isn’t sure if he was trying to convince us, or convince himself he was done. After his arm was out of a cast, he started to work out and train everyday. In a few months later, he found he was in the best shape in years, and he was waiting for a reason to come back. He was in the hospital, at the side of an old man who needed surgery. For a moment, he forgot that he created this entire industry, and his grandchildren were at his side, crying. HHH was smiling on the inside, because he knew Vince was waiting for that opportunity. He knew he’d challenge Paul Heyman, and Paul would find Brock to fight for him. HHH knows we are 5 weeks away from the big dance, and he’s calling Brock out. Usually, Brock is in the ring calling people out, but he split his head wide open. So here we are, let’s finish what we started. Because The Game is back, The King of Kings is back, the Ass-kicker is back. So what is it going to be Brock? Are you going to step up, and accept the challenge? Or will he just sit there, and bleed?

HHH drops the mic, and walks away. The ball is in Brock’s court.

Still to come tonight, Fatal 4-way for the right to face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. CM Punk Vs Randy Orton Vs Big Show Vs Sheamus.

We see footage from this past week’s Friday Night Smackdown, with The Shield being taken out by one punch, by The Big Show.

They have a message that was recorded earlier tonight. People are going after Undertaker’s undefeated streak at Wrestlemania, but perhaps people are forgetting about The Shield’s impressive undefeated streak. But the eyes of justice will keep an eye on that tonight, even watching Big Show. Make no mistake about it, that shot he laid on them will never happen again.

Believe in The Shield.

Wade Barrett is in the ring, his opponent will be the World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto Del Rio.

You can check out Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger with their Youtube messages at Wethepeople/Zeb.

Speaking of Swagger and Colter, they make their way out to ringside, watching this match.

Del Rio makes Barrett tap out to the Cross Arm Breaker.

This Friday Night Smackdown, Del Rio will face Dolph Ziggler.

Tonight, someone has a shot at history and will face The Undertaker in a Fatal 4-way match.

Another video from Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger….We The People.

Oh, you didn’t know?

It’s The New Age Outlaws….PG Version.

Ladies and gentlemen….children of all ages….Degeneration X proudly brings to you the 5-time WWE Tag Team Champions of the WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDD…..Roaddogg Jesse James….Badass Billy Gunn….The New Age Outlaws.

And if you ain’t doing with that….we got two words for you….SUCK IT!!!!

Outlaws are facing The Colon Cousins.

The Outlaws win with a Famouser by Billy Gunn, pinning Epico.

Earlier tonight, John Cena and The Rock had a face to face confrontation about their Wrestlemania 29 match.

Also tonight, HHH challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at Wrestlemania. Stephanie McMahon is on Twitter.

Now we hear from Touts, telling us who they want to see face The Undertaker, at Wrestlemania.

The other wrestlers are near the sign, we see Birthday cakes, and cupcakes. It’s Mae Young’s 90th Birthday. Mene Gene Okerlund introduces Mae to us, and as she waves to the crowd, CM Punk comes out.

Our main event, Fatal 4-way match between CM Punk Vs Randy Orton Vs Sheamus Vs Big Show is next.

CM Punk wins the match, giving Randy Orton a GTS, stealing the pin, after Orton gave Sheamus a RKO.

The Undertaker shows up now to go face to face with Punk. Wrestlemania 29 is official….The Undertaker will face CM Punk. Let the build begin.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

I truly believed that Old School Raw would take away from the build to Wrestlemania, and thankfully, I was wrong. The best thing about this was the legends showed up, but they didn’t overshadow the current stars, and we truly had the best buildup to Wrestlemania since Royal Rumble.

We know Cena will face The Rock. Their promo was the perfect touch of Cena telling Rock that he needs to beat him, I was a bit surprised though that we didn’t hear Cean talk about how he had a divorce, but then again, you don’t want the biggest star in the company to say he was attached, when the women do love Cena. And Rock just more or less told him to bring it. Cena did not turn into a heel, although they might as well do it, since the New York/New Jersey fans will boo the man at Mania. But so far, so good.

We also received confirmation that The Undertaker has indeed risen for his token Wrestlemania match, and his opponent is CM Punk. I liked how they had to fight for the right to face him, and now in the next four weeks, Punk will carry the talking and buildup to Mania. A good main event, and now we will also see the remaining three men, Orton, Sheamus, and Big Show team up to face The Shield.

They already began that buildup. Show joining them will be interesting, since he is the heel. I wouldn’t change that either, I would keep Show as a heel, but because Shield is picking a fight with him, he is joining forces.

HHH issued the challenge, and I am sure Brock Lesnar will accept in the coming weeks.

Although the World Heavyweight Title is already confirmed, they are continuing the buildup to Del Rio and Swagger, which so far is being done well.

We also now know that Ryback will face Mark Henry, or at least we are assuming that after tonight.

Now they must start to do things with other people. The United States champion, and the intercontinental Champions respectively are losing on a weekly basis, not to mention the current Mr. Money in the Bank are on losing streaks. That has to stop, because if they have titles, they must be booked strong. Not to mention, they are the future of the company.

Fandango is getting more publicity by not wrestling than he could have just wrestling, so that is a good thing. Plus, you got to love how he pronounces his name….it’s FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

What did you think of the show? Send me your thoughts here.
