Impact Wrestling 8/22/13…Aces and 8’s Vs Main Event Mafia….Who Leaves TNA?

Previously on Impact Wrestling, Bobby Roode changed the landscape in the BFG Series by uniting with Bad Influence. And, Tito Ortiz turns his back on Main Event Mafia, who will team with MEM tonight? Plus, Bully Ray wins the World Heavyweight Championship, with some help from Tito Ortiz. How does Rampage Jackson and Main Event Mafia respond?

Impact is now.

Bully Ray is on the phone with “Brooke”, tonight, they reveal everything. Bully is with Tito Ortiz. They meet up with Mr. Anderson. Anderson didn’t know about anything, and Bully never returned his calls. This is club business, and Tito is with the club. How about instead of being concerned about club business, Anderson needs to be concerned about his own business.

Tonight, a big 10 man tag match with Aces and 8’s Vs Main Event Mafia, with the loser of the fall leaving TNA.

Roode, Daniels, and Kaz head to the ring.

The three men congratulate Bully Ray on becoming a 2-time World Heavyweight Champion, and it seems that Bully screwed the system again, by adding a new friend. But nonetheless, Bully is the hunted once again. And either Roode, Daniels, or Kazarian will face him at Bound for Glory.

Roode picked up 20 points last week to put himself in 2nd place, and we are just getting started.

Kazarian won a ladder match against our heroes, AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, and Austin Aries.

Daniels tells us the name of the group is Extraordinary Gentlemen Organization, and Chris is about to pick up 20 points of his own, because not only is he good-looking, the ladies love him, but he is a street fighter.

Roode asks Austin Aries to join this group, and make it a 4 man group. Because then all 4 men can own this Series. They have worked together before, and Austin can trust Bad Influence.

Storm and Gunner make their way to the ring.

Storm brings up trust? He trusted Roode for four years, and guess what happened? Roode turned his back on Storm, and when he is done with them, he will do the same thing to them. And when he does, he’ll say sorry about your damn luck.

Roode brings up Storm is jealous of him, and Storm says the only time he is jealous is when someone has a 6-pack, and he has 2 beers left. Since he is dressed, he will take a drink of his beer, and then beat Roode up.

Roode dares him, and Storm takes a swig of his beer, takes his shirt off, and punches Roode.

We have our first match, Roode and Kaz taking on Storm and Gunner.

Roode and Kaz won the match when Roode hit a low blow on Storm.

After the match, Austin Aries mentioned that while the offer is enticing that Roode made him, last week, they cost him 20 points in the BFG Series match, and to him, you must trust the people you surround with. So he has alot to think about, and at the end of the night, we will have his answer.

Still to come tonight, Bully Ray gives us his World Title celebration.

Last week, Tito Ortiz helped Bully Ray become the new World Heavyweight Champion, and we will hear an update on Chris Sabin.

Our next match is Manik taking on Sonjay Dutt.

Manik wins the match with a double knee gutbuster.

Aces and 8’s are backstage, Devon wants to know if Anderson talked to Bully, and he said he did, but just concentrate on winning their match tonight. They have a 5-on-4 advantage, so take care of them.

Next, BFG Series Streetfight between Christopher Daniels Vs Hernandez Vs Jay Bradley Vs Joseph Park.

Joseph Park wins the match when he sees blood, and pins Jay Bradley with the Black Hole Slam. Austin Aries made his decision, and he’s not joining Extraordinary Gentlemen League Organization. He gives Daniels a Brainbuster, and runs away from Kaz and Roode. Bradley made Park bleed, and he went nuts. So Joseph now has a +17 with the 20 points he earned.

Next, Bully Ray’s World Title celebration, and we will see who “Brooke” is.

Main Event Mafia are ready to step up tonight, even if nobody steps in. They are the elite, and it’s time to show the world.

Bully Ray video with his relationship he had with Brooke Hogan.

Here comes the new World Heavyweight Champion and Tito Ortiz.

Everyone is happy to see Bully Ray. He asks us how does it feel to be suckered by him, again? He has one question for everybody….do you know who he is? He said do we know who he is? he is Bully Ray, he is the president of Aces and 8’s, and he is the World Heavyweight Champion. He didn’t say 2-time champion, because that was a fluke for Sabin. He never beat him, he beat himself.

Everything is right with Aces and 8’s, which brings him to his new best friend.

Do you know who this is? This is “The Huntington Beach Badboy” Tito Ortiz.

He hands it to Ortiz, and sais he should have known when he signed the deal that things would change. He knocked him out once, he’ll do it again.

Now we will be shocked, he exposes the secret that he and his girl have been hiding for a long time.

He wants “Brooke” to come out now.

They play Brooke Hogan’s music, but it’s not Brooke Hogan, it’s Brooke Tessmacher.

She comes out, and they plant a big kiss to reveal to everyone.

Now that he has his “hot” Brooke with him, now that he has his Huntington Beach Badboy with him, now that he has good friend Taz with him, there is only one thing left to do.

Brooke took his wedding ring off his finger, and spit it on the ground.

They are done.

ODB Vs Gail Kim is up next.

Next week, Impact Wrestling will be in Cleveland, Ohio. My home state.

Moments ago, we see what we just saw….Brooke Tessmacher is Bully Ray’s real Brooke.

ODB Vs Gail Kim is up now.

Gail wins the match with a rollup, getting even from her pinfall loss last week.

Main Event Mafia Vs Aces and 8’s, our main event is up next. Someone is getting fired from TNA.

Jeff Hardy is in a video, he talks about winning the World Heavyweight Title last year was his most meaningful title win in his career, because of what he had gone through.

Being the only BFG Series winner to win the World Heavyweight Title means something to him, and he’s looking to win it all again.

Earlier tonight, Austin Aries gave his answer to Roode, Daniels, and Kaz.

Roode had to get someone’s help, he didn’t need to do it. Roode received help from two men who have never won the title before, he has. All he needs is his god given ability to win.

Hulk Hogan will be back next week, he is meeting with lawyers, and will be at Impact in Cleveland, next week.

We hear from Chris Sabin after last week’s loss. He said something has to change, because Aces and 8’s find a way to steal the victory from him. Main Event Mafia had his back, yet at the end of the day, he lost. He will be back, and he will become World Heavyweight Champion, again.

Our main event…10 man tag match of Aces and 8’s Vs Main Event Mafia, now.

Anderson is on the mic, he wants Bully Ray to get a bird’s-eye view, and look on. So here he comes with Brooke, Tito. Anderson suggests Main Event Mafia to lie down, and lose gracefully.

Sting declines, if they lose, they will lose gracefully, but here comes AJ Styles.

He flips off his hoodie to reveal the old AJ Styles, complete with “Get Ready To Fly” theme song, and AJ joins Main Event Mafia, we have our 10 man tag match set, now.

Main Event Mafia wins the match when AJ Styles pins Devon with a Styles Clash. That means Devon is gone from TNA, and one by one the brick is being taken away from Aces and 8’s, courtesy of Main Event Mafia.

The show ends with the Mafia celebrating in the ring, and Bully Ray is beside himself.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

The one thing that hurt the main event was finding out the spoilers, because I knew AJ was the partner. However, it was good to see AJ come back, so to speak. It looks to me that the direction they are going right now is AJ taking on Bully Ray at Bound for Glory, unless plans changed, and you know TNA…they are changing all the time, it seems.

Although it’s never good to see someone lose their job, TNA did the right thing letting Brooke Hogan go. If TNA is spending too much money, then get rid of a high salary, that quite frankly did not earn that paycheck. That might be the last time we hear her music.

I also like bringing back Brooke Tessmacher, and saying this is Bully Ray’s Brooke. But she didn’t say anything, oh well. It’s good to see TNA use her, since she is getting paid, and all.

So Roode and Bad Influence have a name? Not sure about the name, it seems a bit confusing and too many words, but I bet Daniel created it.

Austin Aries turning face again? Just as long as he continues to wrestle, it’s all good.

Another casualty from TNA, as they let So Cal Val go. I always thought they were underusing her, and needed to just let her be a valet for someone. Maybe she can reunite with Jay Lethal over at ROH?

Devon gone from TNA? I doubt it, although his wrestling days seem to be dwindling. He is taking the job of an agent, and maybe they will explain that. But if they indeed were going to have him lose all along, you’d think they would have pushed he and Bully tagging together a few weeks ago even more when they faced Sabin and Angle.

Overall, a decent and fun show. What were your thoughts of the show? Send them my way here.

Where was Doc as part of Aces and Eights? Glad to see Brooke back, glad to see Hogan’s spawn gone…she needs to get naked somewhere…a sex tape would help…didn’t hurt the Hulkster any, brother 🙂

I hit the fast forward button during most of this opus…I refuse to watch Joseph Parks, I don’t care about Mannix or whatever his name is this week..Bischoff’s kid and Brisco are wastes of skin..why they are in a main event match is a complete mystery…why Taz is waving and mugging to the camera is as well..if he is a member in good standing, why is he never in the ring, or backstage with them?

I don’t understand what they are doing with A-J…is he now the C-M Punk of TNA? Why are they using TNA to promote Bellitor? Ortiz and Rampage are way past their athletic prime…who cares?

Nice job by Angle of going to rehab in the middle of an important storyline…

    • Doc is gone from TNA, another one it seems. Not sure what role AJ was playing, I considered him the “Sting” of 1997, we just needed him to not say anything, and hang out in the rafters. But I don’t think he is playing that anymore, although I would consider Austin Aries the CM Punk of TNA.

I kinda felt sorry for A-J having to come out in a black leather jacket, and a hoodie..had to be really hot to wear to the ring..wondering how they explain Brooke Hogan’s absence…Tara’s name was dropped in a promo that BroMan cut a few weeks ago…

Why is ODB back, when the idea of having a female ref was to, I don’t know, not have a male ref touching females or something?

How deep are their financial issues? Are we watching another WCW swirling down the drain? Is this why we’re getting a whole bunch of PPVs of the One Night Only Brand?
