WWE Monday Night Raw 11/11/13…Veterans Day Special

Thank you so much to all of the men and women who have served in the military….past or present, you all are heroes to me, and we honor this day for you.

We are live (on tape) in Manchester, England.

We are 13 days away from Survivor Series, Michael Cole, JBL, and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show.

It is being confirmed that the McMahons are on vacation tonight, so Cole asks who is in charge? How about the General Manager?

Big Show is not in Manchester tonight due to the beating he received last week, but the WWE Champion Randy Orton makes his way to the ring.

Orton brings up Big Show is back, and he blackmailed his way to the WWE Title match at Survivor Series, and going by the beatdown he and The Shield gave him, Orton will retain his title at Survivor Series. He will still be the face of WWE, and with The McMahons on a well-deserved vacation, he is in charge tonight.

Wait a second, Brad Maddox informs Orton he is in charge, and he will make the first move tonight….

Not so fast, enter the new Director of Operations, Kane comes out in a suit.

In the absence of HHH and Stephanie McMahon, Kane is in charge tonight.

With all due respect, Brad has had this job for a while, so just follow his lead. Randy Orton will face Cody Rhodes.

No, Kane is giving us Orton Vs Goldust.

Now they are bickering back and forth.

Excuse me…

Great, now it’s Vickie Guerrero.

She sucks up to the bosses’, wishing them a great vacation. Unlike the two of them, she has confidence in Randy’s in-ring skills. As the former General Manager of Raw, and the current General Manager of Smackdown, she should be the authority of what is good for business.

The crowd tells her to shut up, and she agrees with Randy’s idea….Orton Vs both The Rhodes Family in an all-champion Handicap match.

There we go, the match starts now.

Orton loses the match by Countout, but here comes The Big Show. He is in Manchester, after all.

Orton is Chokeslammed through a table, payback they call it from last week.

Moments ago, we see what we just saw….Orton being Chokeslammed through a table by Big Show.

Big Show is off to get a pint, leaving the building.

Already, the announce table is done.

Los Matadores are on their way out, now. Ole!!

6-man tag action with Los Matadores and Santino taking on The Union Jacks…AKA 3MB, dressed in Union Jack attire.

Los Matadores and Santino win with a Bull Cobra.

Randy Orton is getting checked on by a doctor, and all three people in charge wish their apologies, but Kane bluntly tells Randy that if he has an issue with Kane, then Big Show won’t be his only problem. They all leave and find out Dolph Ziggler will face Curtis Axel tonight, for the Intercontinental Title.

Our next match is Damien Sandow Vs Kofi Kingston.

Damien wins the match with You’re Welcome.

IC Title match is up next.

Next Monday night in Nashville, it will be Raw Country.

Our IC Title match, Dolph Ziggler Vs Curtis Axel is now.

Axel wins the match with an Axelizer, retaining his title and winning.

Backstage, Kane and Brad Maddox blame each other for what happened to Orton earlier tonight. They have to get on the same page, so Brad makes The Real Americans Vs John Cena. Kane likes the idea, and he also gives us the main event of The Shield Vs CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.

Zack Ryder is pimping the WWEShopzone.com, and we now have Tamina Snuka against Nikki Bella.

Tamina wins with a Snuka Splash, and some help from AJ Lee.

Brie takes care of both of them after the match, there for her sister.

Tonight, John Cena Vs The Real Americans.

Randy is getting checked on by the doctor, when The Shield show up. Randy wants to know where they were at. They made it clear, it’s none of Randy’s business. They don’t work for Vickie Guerrero, they don’t work for Kane, they don’t work for Brad, and they sure as hell do not work for Randy.

Everyone is Fandango-ing as England’s favorite dancer is next.

Fandango is facing Tyson Kidd.

This feud began on an episode of Total Divas, it seems.

Fandango wins with a rollup, over Tyson Kidd. The crowd loves it.

Who is in charge of the show? Brad Maddox made John Cena Vs The Real Americans, that match is next.

Cena wins the match with a STF, making Swagger tap. Del Rio had showed up earlier in the match, and he attacks Cena, tries to hit a Cross Arm Breaker on Cena through a chair, but Big E. Langston comes out and helps Cena.

Later tonight, 3-on-2 Handicap match with The Shield Vs CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.

This Wednesday night on Main Event, AJ Lee Vs Natalya for the Divas Title.

We are in Manchester, England and see Cena defeat The Real Americans, with Big E. Langston coming out to help John fight off Alberto Del Rio.

The Three Stooges are watching what we just saw. Alberto Del Rio is proud of what he did just now to Cena, he will do the same in 13 days. But he tells Vickie to tell Big E. to stay out of his business, Kane tells him to do it himself.

Ryback makes his way to the ring, he will face R-Truth.

Truth picked up a surprise pinfall with a rollup.

Earlier tonight, Big Show surprised Randy Orton, and chokeslammed him through the table.

Big E. Langston Vs Alberto Del Rio, next.

And Big E. loses, tapping out to the Cross Arm Breaker, whatever.

John Cena tells us Happy Veterans Day.

And when we come back, we see Paul Heyman, sitting in a wheelchair, all bandaged up.

Heyman informs us that he has come to Manchester to see a specialist, and tells us that he will have his day with CM Punk. I guess this feud isn’t over, and here comes Punk.

He takes out Curtis Axel, like he’s nothing, and now is back in the ring with Heyman.

Punk has a kendo stick, and introduces Heyman to it, lays him out with it.

And we now have our main event, The Shield Vs Punk and Daniel Bryan.

The match ends in a no contest when Punk and Bryan had things going their way, the lights go out, and here comes The Wyatt Family, waiting. The Shield are upset that they are standing in their ring, and they have words with The Wyatts. Punk shoves Rollins into them, and all six men start to fight in the ring, which is fantastic. Then the Wyatts realized something, they all have a common enemy, and now they have their sights on Daniel and Punk.

6 on 2 attack here, with The Shield and The Wyatts teaming up. But now The Usos and Rhodes Family come out to even the odds, and we have a 6 on 6 fight here, ending the show, with the babyfaces taking the heels out of the ring.

What an ending.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

A fantastic ending to what was otherwise a ridiculous show. Why would the McMahons decide to go on “vacation” now when they have a big show lined up in England, or as it seems? We also see the show is run by complete morons.

But enough of that storyline, what truly bothers me about this is the fact we are 13 days away from a major PPV, and we have not had many matches set up. So far, just 2, now we should see more involvement for one more match on Smackdown, but still that is just 3 matches, less than 10 days away by the time Smackdown is aired, and we have a theme Raw set up next week. Don’t they have capable writers giving us reasons to order these shows?

I also had a very big problem with Big E. Langston, a guy WWE wants to push as the next big superstar tapping out in what was a meaningless match. Perception is everything, and if you want the fans to get behind someone new, you must push them as indestructible. Something WWE doesn’t do very well, and they wonder why can’t they find that next big superstar.

But enough of that, the ending was tremendous, and it might set up a potential feud down the road of The Shield Vs The Wyatt Family, if they choose to go that route.
