WWE Friday Night Smackdown 1/10/14…Champion Vs Champion

We begin the show with video from Bray Wyatt, bragging about Daniel Bryan joining the family. He doesn’t have to hear the sheep anymore, and he has a home.

We are in Philly tonight, Michael Cole and JBL welcome us to the show.

The Uso’s taking on Harper and Rowan, now.

The match ends in a double countout when all four men fight on the outside.

This Monday night, Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt face The Uso’s.

We come right back and see Daniel and Bray attack them from behind, as all four Wyatts attack The Uso’s.

The crowd is trying to chant no as we immediately cut to Vickie Guerrero.

Randy Orton asks for The Authority, but they aren’t here. They did not listen to his demands about consulting him before they put him in a match. He will address them this Monday.

Tonight, CM Punk will team with The New Age Outlaws as they face The Shield.

MizTV is next, with The Big Show.

Miz is here for MizTV, showing us what took place when Big Show confronted Brock Lesnar this past Monday night.

The Big Show comes to the ring.

Big Show went after Brock Lesnar, why did he do it?

Between Paul Heyman running his mouth, and Brock breaking Mark Henry’s arm, that was his limit. He doesn’t like Brock Lesnar. He didn’t like him before, and he likes him less now. Brock wasn’t standing in the ring with a man Monday night, he was standing in the ring with a giant. He is challenging Brock to a fight.

Paul Heyman intervenes.

Show is not looking for Heyman, he is looking for his client, Brock Lesnar. How about fighting Brock tonight, in Philly?

But Brock does not fight when The Big Show wants to fight. Big Show will fight Brock Lesnar, when Heyman says he gets to fight Brock Lesnar.

It will happen at the Royal Rumble.

Heyman issues a warning, if Big Show wants to fight Brock before Royal Rumble, he is not hard to find.

Tonight, Champion Vs Champion, Randy Orton Vs Big E. Langston.

Footage from this past Wednesday’s announcement about The WWE Network.

Batista is returning to Raw Monday, January 20th, and he is officially in the Royal Rumble match itself.

The WWE Network is coming, February 24th.

Our next match is an 8-man tag with Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, and Los Matadores taking on The Real American, Curtis Axel, and Ryback.

Rey’s team wins when Rey hit a 619 and dropped a dime on Cesaro.

More footage from Old School Raw, between Ric Flair and Randy Orton. John Cena will face Randy Orton at Royal Rumble.

A video, talking about the two men.

Randy Orton comes out for his match with Big E. Langston, Champion Vs Champion, next.

Orton wins with a RKO. Big E. jad things going his way, but the RKO strikes at any time.

Our next match is Fandango, and Summer Rae. Fandango will face Xavier Woods now.

Xavier picks up the win, in a bit of an upset. The Funkadactyls join him celebrate, and this brings us to earlier tonight Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt take out The Uso’s, and we hear from Todd Phillips. (Who?) They more or less say payback is a bitch, and this Monday night, they are going to take care of The Wyatts.

WWE Rae Rebound featuring the returns of Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and of course…The New Age Outlaws.

Outlaws and CM Punk will face The Shield, now.

But before the match, The Shield have to tell us what is on their mind. They wull find a way to hurt you now.

The match and the show ends when The Shield wins, and gives Billy Gunn a Spear,

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Well, another boring episode tonight that featured one good segment telling us Big Show will face Brock at Rumble, other than that, nothing of substance. Of course WWE will keep talking about The WWE Network. Forget the matches.

What did you think of the show? Send me your thoughts.

I love my Fast Forward Button…there was more excitement in the ”Main Event” from this past week, when A-J took on Katlyin in her final match, and gave her a nice hug in the ring..before Snooka’s daughter kicked her…good luck on your future endeavors…

I did like the spear on Billy Gunn..but come on…how old are these guys now? What was the point? Heyman cut a nice promo…but why not just run a condensed version of Raw if that’s all you’re going to focus on…

    • I’ll have to check out The Main Event match, but I do find it odd that the entire week of Raw and Smackdown, the Diva’s champ wasn’t on the show. And the Smackdown main event, why didn’t they just do the match on Raw? You’re essentially paying NAO to make two appearances, it would have made more sense to do the 6-man tag at Raw, and do Punk Vs Reigns on Smackdown, right?

I think they wanted to carry whatever momentum from their Old School Raw one more night…meanwhile, you’re asking 2 guys well past their prime–who had some success on the one hand, and a footnote as far as TNA was concerned–to wrestle guys likely half their age…that must have been some conversation in the back as far as the spear was concerned…

      • It was better for Billy to take it than Roaddogg…LOL
