WWE Monday Night Raw 1/27/14…The Road To Wrestlemania Begins In Cleveland

Last night, Batista won the Royal Rumble, and will move on to Wrestlemania to face Randy Orton. Or so we think. Many different things can happen between now and Mania. But we start putting the pieces together tonight, and here.

We see footage of last night when The Wyatt Family interrupted Cena and Orton’s match.

We are live in Cleveland, Ohio. The Authority make their way to the ring.

Stephanie welcomes us to the show, and point to the Wrestlemania sign.

The crowd is chanting yes, and Steph tries to tell us last night’s Rumble match was the most satisfying ending.

HHH mocks the fans for not getting what they wanted.

HHH brings up Randy Orton defeated John Cena. Brock Lesnar destroyed The Big Show. And their good friend returned from 4 years, and defeated 29 other men, and Dave Batista secured his spot at Wrestlemania.

But this brings us to The Elimination Chamber, where Randy Orton will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Title inside the chamber.

Enter Daniel Bryan.

Daniel mocks HHH by saying HHH doesn’t like the Yes chants, we don’t want to make The Authority mad.

Last night, Daniel had one of the toughest matches of his career, and last night, many people are talking about his match.

HHH replied it was a good “little” effort.

When people talk about the biggest disappointments at the Rumble, it was about Daniel not being in the Royal match. He had a match, but he went to them, and said he wanted to be in the Rumble. There is a yes movement, and everytime he asked to be in the Rumble, they said no.

Stephanie brings up they didn’t want to ask him to be in harm’s way to be competing twice.

How many times did they make Daniel wrestle all three times of The Shield? or The Wyatts? Countless of times.

They just didn’t want to do it again.

Daniel brings up they don’t care about what is best for business, they care what is worst for Daniel.

Stephanie brings up Daniel cares about himself, people didn’t just come to see Daniel.

Daniel asks the crowd if they came to see Randy Orton? No….How about HHH? No?

Listen to the people, and we get a loud Daniel Bryan chant.

Daniel brings up he can’t change the past, but he can get what he wants, he wants a chance in the Elimination Chamber. And Hunter, neither of them are leaving until they get what they want.

HHH says it’s not just what he wants, Daniel has company.

Enter The Shield.

Daniel has a chair.

But Reigns catches him, and now the numbers game catches up.

Here comes Sheamus.

And here comes John Cena.

We have our 6-man match later tonight.

Randy Orton will have his WWE World Heavyweight Title celebration, tonight.

Our first match is Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara will face The Real Americans.

Later tonight, The Shield Vs Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, and Cena will be a Qualifying match for The Elimination Chamber match in 4 weeks.

The Real Americans pick up the win when Cesaro hit a Neutralizer on Sin Cara. Earlier in the match, Zeb Colter fired up Swagger by slapping him in the face. That’s a tough coach there.

Later tonight, we will have a 6-man qualifying match for Elimination Chamber. The Shield Vs Cena, Sheamus, and Bryan.

Also, WWE Tag Team Title match, New Age Outlaws Vs The Rhodes Family.

Time for Bad News Barrett.

Barrett has some bad news. Later tonight, we will have The Miz Vs Dolph Ziggler. A match that is titled the battle of Cleveland. He is grateful it’s not called the battle for Cleveland. That would be 2 losers, because Cleveland is inhabited by losers.

A sneak peek of The WWE Network. The Monday Night Wars…WCW Vs WWE.

28 days, 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 3 seconds.

Fandango, with Summer Rae is headed to the ring, next.

We are 69 days away from Wrestlemania.

Fandango Vs R-Truth.

Truth wins the match with a What’s Up.

Randy Orton is heading to the ring, next.

Brad Maddox, who I guess is still the General Manager of Raw, he introduces us to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, “The Viper” Randy Orton.

The Champ Is Here. Despite what most of us thought, Orton beat Cena again last night. Some of us said that was a hollow victory, but he doesn’t give a damn. He won. But then, he came to work this morning to find out he has to defend his title in front of five other people. Was that Brad’s idea? He deserves respect, not Batista.

Here comes Batista.

The crowd is booing Dave too.

Dave congratulates Randy, but like he told him last week, he is back for three reasons. To win Royal Rumble, to headline Wrestlemania, and win the WWE World Title.

He doesn’t care who it is, on April 6th, Dave doesn’t care if Randy, or The Authority doesn’t like it, Batista is winning the title.

Here comes the pain.

Heyman tells Mr. Maddox who he is. His client authorized Heyman to tell Brad his patience is wearing thin. Brad needs to tell The Authority they have two choices. Let’s make history tonight, in Cleveland, Ohio. And that we make a WWE World Title match with Brock Vs Orton. He’s not demanding, just suggesting that he makes the obvious contender Lesnar Vs The so-called contender, Batista.

He doesn’t care what decision to make, just make that choice tonight, or else.

Later tonight, 6-man Qualifying match to determine 3 spots for The Elimination Chamber.

The Battle of Cleveland, Dolph Ziggler Vs The Miz is next.

Ziggler wins with a Zig Zag. Ziggler wins Cleveland.

Later tonight, WWE Tag Team Title match, New Age Outlaws Vs The Rhodes Family.

Ryback and Curtis Axel are in the ring, set to face The Uso Brothers.

The Uso’s won with a splash, pinning Ryback in an impressive victory.

6-man Qualifying Match for the Elimination Chamber match.

Who will be the next Hall of Fame inductee? We will find out tonight.

We are live in Cleveland, Ohio. Kofi Kingston is in the ring. He had a Royal Rumble moment last night. He is going to face Alberto Del Rio.

Del Rio wins the match with a kick to the head. The crowd could care less about this match however, and neither did the announcers.

Next is the WWE Tag team Title match, New Age Outlaws Vs The Rhodes Brothers.

Also, who does Brock Lesnar face tonight?

The match ends in a no contest when Brock Lesnar comes out and F-5’s both Rhodes Brothers.

Heyman is on the mic, and tells us The Authority it seems chose option C, Brock fighting nobody.

Time for Brock to take punishment on them with a chair, and he beat the crap out of both men.

Divas action with The Bella Twins and The Funkadactyls Vs AJ Lee, Aksana, Alicia Fox, and Tamina.

Naomi pins AJ with a Rear View.

When is Naomi receiving her title shot?

The newest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame?

Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

Our main event is set….John cena, Sheamus, and Daniel Bryan Vs The Shield in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match.

Cena, D-Bry, and Sheamus win the match by DQ, when The Wyatts come out and attack Cena, Sheamus, and D-Bry, but the babyfaces come back, and send them out of the ring. The Shield are pissed that the match ends this way, and quite frankly, I am too.

The shoe ends here.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Hey guys, Wrestlemania is 69 days away, and yet nothing magical has happened yet. Daniel Bryan confronted The Authority about last night, yet it served nothing. I mean Bryan is in the Elimination Chamber match, which is great, but so is Cena, and haven’t we seen Cena Vs Orton enough?

No CM Punk tonight, which was a crime, unless there is a reason.

Christian is announced to be coming back on Smackdown this week, but yet, I am in a wait and see approach.

Wait, why are The Wyatts costing The Shield, when shouldn’t it be the other way around?

Wait, why is Brad Maddox even still on Tv as a general manager when he doesn’t serve a purpose anymore?

The awesome part tonight? We did have a great main event match, even if the ending sucked, and it did.

Jake “The Snake” Roberts is inducted into the Hall of Fame, which is awesome. Two speeches I want to hear….Jake and Warrior. I hope WWE Network will air it.

And Daniel Bryan’s reaction still is amazing. I am just confused who he will face at Mania.

And therein lies the problem, I am not even sure if WWE knows for sure either. The one guy, other than WWE Title match I want to see him in is against Shawn Michaels, but that won’t happen. However, it makes me wonder why they even did what had done in October if there never was a match set in stone?

I am also not sure why Batista offered so little tonight, and so did the champion, for that matter. Why minimize their roles the night after Mania?

Oh wait, Orton’s role was to bitch about defending his title, again.

I’m just so confused, and I don’t think I am supposed to be. Am I the only one? What did you think of tonight’s show? Send me your thoughts.
