April 6, 2014 4 Comments
We are two hours away from Wrestlemania 30, but first, we have our pre-show. Are you ready? Keep checking here throughout the night.
Here we go.
We see video from this past Friday night when Stephanie McMahon and HHH talk about their Wrestlemania experience.
We see the complete set, and it’s gorgeous. We are in The Mercedes-Benz Superdome, in New Orleans.
Josh Matthews welcome us to the pre-show. Our expert panelists today are Mick Foley, Booker T, and Shawn Michaels.
In our second hour, we will see a Fatal 4-Way for the Tag Team Titles. The Uso’s Vs The Real Americans Vs Rybaxel Vs Los Matadores.
Renee Young is in the Social Media room, talking about tonight’s Andre the Giant Memorial Cup. We can tweet who we think will win the event.
The panelists talk about that match, for later tonight.
But now, we get the John Cena Vs Bray Wyatt preview.
As Shawn Michaels is talking about this match, The Wyatt Family interrupt us.
Bray has done some terrible things, to good people. He had a very good friend, like a brother. He could have helped his friend out, but he didn’t. His friend went right into the fire, and it was beautiful. Now if he does something like this to his friend, imagine what he’s going to do to John.
….He’s got the whole world right in his hand….he’s got the whole wide world in his hand….
We come back, from that promo. Cena has never met an opponent like this man. He is a darker, meaner version of Mankind, when he faced Shawn at Mind Games, back in 1996.
The Streak vs The Beast, tonight. The Undertaker Vs Brock Lesnar.
Preview video for this.
Byron Saxson is trying to get a word from Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman intervenes. This is history in the making, The Undertaker’s streak will be conquered by Brock Lesnar. We can tell our children, our grandchildren about this day.
An hour and a half away from Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania video is playing now.
Alex Riley is standing at Champions Square, talking with the fans.
Josh goes right back with Renee Young at the Social Media Lounge.
Shawn Merriman, from the San Diego Chargers is here now, giving us his Wrestlemania moments.
The winner of Daniel Bryan Vs HHH will head on to the main event in the Triple Threat match for the WWE World Title.
Daniel Bryan’s road to Wrestlemania is playing now.
A great video here, and it brings up memories of just how rough his road was.
Tom Phillips interviews Daniel. He will be in two matches tonight, or he will go down trying. He lost alot of respect for HHH as a person, but he respects him as a competitor. He’s strong, but so is Daniel, just in a different way. He is doing this for the people, he owes us this moment. It’s his night, but it’s also our night. This is for all of the people who have been told no, or you’re not good enough, big enough, this is about us. Our moment, tonight.
Shawn is going with Daniel tonight. He is enjoying his road to stardom.
Oh boy, now we are getting our ritual how to download WWE Network manual.
Now we see Batista piece, with Booker T interviewing both of Big Dave.
Tonight, 30 men will vie for the first ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Earlier today, we see security moving the Andre trophy, and move it to Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Hulk Hogan video is being shown.
Now we are heading to hour 2, and this will exclusively be shown on WWE Network.
Our second hour will have a Fatal 4-Way for the WWE Tag Team Titles, our first match tonight.
Jimmy Hart joins the panel.
Renee Young is on the Social Media lounge, it’s time to read my tweets.
Andre The Giant video is now playing.
The Fatal 4-Way is now an Elimination Tag match, guaranteed, the winners become the champions, and we will have 3 pinfalls.
Wrestlemania rundown is now being talked about.
Alex Riley is joining the panel, with Shawn leaving.
Jimmy Hart is trending on Twitter.
Lilian Garcia is making her Wrestlemania entrance.
John Cena talks with Michael Cole, about Cena’s legacy.
Also tonight, The Shield will face Kane and The New Age Outlaws.
Ambrose wants The Outlaws and Kane to bring their best, because their best won’t be good enough.
Rollins understands their history, but when the old dies up, and the new rises, you will believe in The Shield.
The new symbol of excellence.
Trish Stratus enters, as Jimmy Hart leaves.
Trish discusses the upcoming Diva Invitational.
And also tonight, 4-Team Elimination Tag match, for the WWE Tag Team Titles are up now.
The Uso’s Vs The Real Americans Vs Los Matadores Vs Rybaxel.
Los Matadores are eliminated, when Diego taps out to the Patriot Lock, by Swagger.
3 teams are left.
Rybaxel loses, when Cesaro hits a Neutralizer on Ryback, pinning him.
We down to two teams.
This should have kicked off the PPV.
It’s time to fly…
The Uso’s retain the Tag Titles with a double splash, pinning Cesaro.
A great opener, and the crowd is fired up tonight.
Now Swagger is blaming this on Cesaro. Zeb is trying to calm things down, but Swagger hits a Patriot Lock. The problem is he let go.
Zeb wants Swagger to shake his hand, and Cesaro doesn’t know. He shook his hand, but it’s time to go swinging.
Cesaro just turned babyface.
We go back to the panelists, who try to explain about their Wrestlemania moments.
Josh brings up The Vickie Guerrero Divas Invitational. One fall to a finish, chances are high AJ Lee loses her Divas Title.
30 years, we have celebrated Wrestlemania. Now, this is a new chapter to an unfinished book.
Welcome to Wrestlemania.
We are live in new Orleans, Michael Cole, JBL, and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show.
The host of Wrestlemania, Hulk Hogan kicks off the show.
Well, let me tell you something, brother.
He wants to welcome us to Wrestlemania 30, brother. He was there for the very first Wrestlemania at Madison Square Garden, teaming up with Mr. T and defeating “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorf. And now, we are in the Superdome, brother for Wrestlemania 30. This is about special moments.
The glass breaks, the “Texas Rattlesnake” Stone Cold Steve Austin gives us a special moment.
The two stare each other in the eye.
If you’re ready for Wrestlemania, give me a hell yeah.
Normally, when Stone Cold Steve Austin is in this ring, he opens a can of whoop ass on someone. if you want Austin to give Hogan a can of whoop ass, give him a hell yeah.
Austin sat with Hogan last night, and saw what he did at Wrestlemania I….what?
The list goes on and on, and he is here to say he respects the hell out of him. And this night is not about them, it’s about the young guys who have an opportunity to make a name out of themselves. And always remember….Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ass.
If Ya Smell What The Rock Is Cooking….
Yes boys and girls, it’s The Rock.
This is a great way to start the show off.
Finally, The Rock has come back to New Orleans….
Finally, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan have come back to the Superdome.
Superdome chant, because Hogan messed that up.
When he looks across the room, he doesn’t see two of the biggest ICOns in the ring, he sees a very good friend of his, and a childhood idol. He has had the honor of facing both men at Wrestlemania. But they both have had an incredible impact with the boys in the back.
There is a man later tonight, fighting for hustle, loyalty, and respect. But without the training, eating your vitamins, and saying your prayers 29 years ago, that never would have happened.
There is a guy who is going to fight the machine, and fight against the authority. That wouldn’t have happened if a SOB hadn’t fought the boss, and beat his ass.
Also, did you ever wonder why there are so many new babies 9 months from now? It’s because of everyone wanted to make Rock babies.
We have seen moments, and we are going to see more of them. If King Kong Bundy, Batista, Yokozuna all faced them, the three of them would still put their boots straight up their asses.
If Ya Smell What The Rock Is Cooking.
And that’s the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so.
So, whatcha going to do when The Rock, Stone Cold, Hulkamania, and The Superdome run wild on you, brother.
And we just got started folks.
Our first match is Daniel Bryan Vs HHH, with the winner getting into the Triple Threat match later tonight, for the WWE Title.
Stephanie McMahon is here to introduce us to “The King of Kings” HHH.
Daniel Bryan defeats HHH with his single leg high knee.
Stephanie is stunned, and she slaps Daniel, and HHH attacks Daniel from behind, and smashes his arm with a chairshot.
Incredible match between both men. Wrestlemania is off to a great start.
Kane and The Outlaws Vs The Shield in 6-man tag match is up now.
The Shield wins with a Double Triple Powerbomb, Rollins pinning Billy. Impressive, yet very short match.
Slam City commercial in the back with legends, including “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, Danny Davis, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, “Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase, and Ron Simmons.
Everyone has a price for the “Million Dollar Man”, and our response?
Andre The Giant 30-man Battle Royal is now.
Our final two are Big Show and Cesaro.
Cesaro wins, and eliminates Big Show with a body slam. Wow. He just had the Cena and Hogan push, all wrapped up in one.
Kofi made a great save earlier in the match, when he was tossed out of the ring, he landed on the step, but his feet didn’t touch the ground. So he went back in.
No question about it, Cesaro is getting the next big push, incredible.
Our next match is John Cena Vs Bray Wyatt. Bray is searching to destroy Cena’s legacy.
New Orleans, we’re here….
We have the guy that originally wrote The Wyatts theme song there, performing live.
Cena wins the match with an Attitude Adjustment. Bray wanted Cena to hit him with a chair, cross on over to the dark side. Cena thought about it, but nailed Erick Rowan with a chair instead. Fantastic match, and it told a great story here.
So far, every one of the matches have delivered.
Saluting the WWE Hall of Fame legends right now.
Daniel Bryan is being tended to right now, can he make it for the title match later tonight?
Our next match is The Undertaker Vs Brock Lesnar.
Holy shit, Brock Lesnar just beat The Undertaker with a F-5.
The streak is over.
The fans didn’t seem interested in this match, maybe because we all thought Taker would win, but the fact he didn’t scares me, because I can’t imagine a Wrestlemania without The Undertaker. Yet, that might be a reality next year.
The crowd gives him a standing ovation, and his music is playing. Surely, no other streak will be as special as this Wrestlemania streak for The Undertaker.
Divas title match is up now.
Vickie Guerrero screams out she wishes the divas luck.
294th day as WWE Divas champ, for AJ Lee.
AJ Lee wins with the Black Widow, retaining her Divas Title, and honestly, nobody knows. Shame on WWE for placing this match after Taker Vs Brock.
Mean Gene is standing by in the back, interviewing Hulk Hogan.
Mr. Wonderful and Piper show up. Piper tells Hogan he is doing a good job hosting Wrestlemania. It doesn’t bother Piper they lost at Wrestlemania, because it was Mr. Wonderful that lost.
How does that make Mr. Wonderful feel? Terrible, but if he had a partner that could watch his back, things would be better. Piper and Wonderful get into Hogan’s face, but here is T with his back up. Pat Patterson shows up in a ref’s shirt. He was the referee at the first Wrestlemania and told them to shake hands, it’s been 30 years.
All four men do, and we have another Wrestlemania moment.
WWE legends are in the house, but now serious business….
Our main event, Randy Orton Vs Batista Vs Daniel Bryan is now up. Rev Theory is performing Randy’s theme.
Of course, it would be nice if the announcers brought that up.
WWE World Title is on the line.
Daniel Bryan wins the WWE World Title, making Batista tap out to the Yes Lock. The Authority made their presence felt earlier in the match, even a Scott Armstrong sighting, but Daniel prevailed through that. He took both Stephanie out, and HHH, hitting HHH with a sledge-hammer shot, and going through Stephanie when he tried to take everyone out.
But then, Batista and Orton teamed together to take out Daniel, with a combination Batista Bomb, and RKO through the announce table. We had EMTs come to tend to Daniel, and wheel him out on a stretcher, but the underdog got off the stretcher, and was back in the match.
No matter what happened, this was Daniel’s night, and the show ends with confetti, and 75,000+ screaming fans chanting yes.
The show ends here.
Wrestlemania has come and gone, and it went quite well overall on WWE Network. I truly give them credit on that.
It’s great to see Daniel receive something he has earned for many years. I just hope they book him strong, and has a concise plan for his title reign. In other words, don’t have him lose to everyone else, except title matches. And make it meaningful with whoever beats him. Brock Lesnar might be a wise choice, down the road here, since he beat the streak.
I still can’t believe The Streak is done. All good things must come to an end, but I always thought if someone were to beat him, it would be someone like Cena. And you had to think nobody knew who was going to go over, until the very end, because the announcers were shocked when Taker lost.
This truly is an end of an era.
Every match did its share and give us drama, so a fun show. And Hulk Hogan made his presence felt. What did you think of the show? Send me your thoughts. I will talk to you tomorrow.
