WWE Thursday Night Smackdown 1/15/15…Daniel Bryan Vs Kane

Tonight, for the first time in 10 years, Smackdown has returned to Thursday nights.  We are in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Byron Saxton is in the ring, interviewing Daniel Bryan.

Daniel is back, at home where he belongs.  He isn’t wearing jeans and a flannel, he is wearing ring gear, because he is ready to fight.

Byron shows Daniel footage from last April, when Kane almost ended Daniel’s career.

Daniel assures Byron he is taking Kane serious.  Daniel knows how dangerous Kane is.  They were rivals, then formed a team, Team Hell No.  Daniel considered Kane a brother, and a friend.  But ever since he went from a mask, to a suit, Kane put Daniel out of commission.

Daniel was being told many times that he couldn’t wrestle again, and this is the real test.  This is where he proves that he can still wrestle.  He fights Kane, and he wins.  Then in 2 weeks, at Royal Rumble, Daniel wins.  Then in 3 months at Wrestlemania, Daniel wins.

Some may think that is a pipe dream, but does Daniel actually think he can do it?  Do the people actually think Daniel can do it?

Behold the king….on your knees, punk.

All of the members of The Authority head to the ring, with Kane coming to the ring.

Kane Vs D-Bry is next.

Daniel is DQ’d when J & J Security come to the ring, and attack Daniel.  But Daniel is able to move away from the attack of Seth Rollins and Big Show.

The Authority come out to the ring, after D-Bry, but Daniel has some backup.

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.

HHH makes this official, a 6-man tag match.  Kane, The Big Show, and Rollins Vs D-Bry, Reigns, and Ambrose.

Michael Cole, Byron Saxton, and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show.

Tonight, a 6-man tag match, also IC Title match with Bad News Barrett Vs Sin Cara.

And the announcement of Randy “Macho Man” Savage will be next.

Video of Randy “The Macho Man” Savage being the first inductee into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame.

“Macho Man” will be inducted by Hulk Hogan.

Bray Wyatt interrupts the fun, calling himself the forbidden fruit.  They tell us to stay away from him.  They were right.  And by the Royal Rumble, it will be too late to run, follow the buzzards.

The Uso’s and Naomi are in action, they will take on The Miz, Mizdow, and Alicia Fox, next.

The Miz, Mizdow, and Alicia wins when The Miz uses Mizdow has body shield from an Uso kick and uses The Skull Crushing Finale to win.

Renee Young is with Roman Reigns.

Tonight, Roman teams up with Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose, yet in 2 weeks, they are all involved in the Royal Rumble match.

Roman said in 2 weeks, it will all be business, but tonight it’s about teaming with his brother, and Daniel he has no issue with.

He does have an issue with The Authority, and The Big Show.  Tonight, he takes The Big Show out, believe that.

Paul Heyman is waddling to the ring, next.

We see footage of Seth Rollins curbstomping Brock Lesnar.

Ladies and gentlemen, his name is Paul Heyman, and he is the advocate to his client, Brock Lesnar.

Brock took a franchise player, like John Cena and suplexed him 16 times.  And now Seth Rollins believed that he would use Brock as an example, so now Brock is pissed off.

Here comes Seth Rollins.

Seth is tired of this talk about people being afraid of Lesnar, and he is sick of people saying Seth is hiding behind The Authority.  He wants Lesnar in the ring, he wants to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

But, Rollins know Brock isn’t here.

Rollins wants to curbstomp Heyman then.  Paul asks Seth what would that say, then?

Rollins tells Heyman that if he can’t curbstomp Brock, he would take Heyman out, because then it takes Brock’s mind away.  And he would face 2 dumbbell’s.  He showed that Cena isn’t a threat, and he has already curbstomped Brock two times.  He does it the third time, he walks out as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

So why shouldn’t he curbstomp Heyman?

Because what makes Rollins think The Authority’s power will continue?  They have already lost their power once before, and they will lose their power again.  Either by a board of directors, by Vince McMahon himself.  So when that happens, what will Rollins have?

Heyman gains more power everyday he is in the WWE.  For one, because his client Brock Lesnar is the current WWE World Champion, and one day, Heyman may have to decide when the future becomes now, and he has Brock protect the new WWE World Champion.

Heyman walks away, and has Seth think.

Nikki Bella Vs Natalya, now.

Natalya wins, with some help from Paige when she slaps Nikki and Nattie makes her tap to the Sharpshooter.

Big Show is with Renee.

Big Show knocked out two superstars Monday night.  He took out Cena and Reigns, and now he entered the Royal Rumble match, and will knock 29 other superstars out.  There isn’t anyone who can stop him.

Kane stops him, and says he entered the Royal Rumble too.

IC Title match, Bad News Barrett Vs Sin Cara is next.

Barrett wins the match with a Bull Hammer Elbow, retaining the IC Title.

Tonight, our main event is a 6-man tag match of Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose Vs Seth Rollins, Kane, and The Big Show.

We see Dean by himself.  When he was a kid, he was a bit of a loner.  That works perfectly for him at the Royal Rumble.  Anyone can win, and anything goes.  So if that can happen, then you can count him in.  But tonight, two of his partners have one thing in common, detest The Authority.  Together, they will win.

Rollins, Kane, and Big Show Vs Bryan, Ambrose, and Reigns.

Bryan, Ambrose, and Reigns win when Bryan hits a high knee for the win, pinning Kane.

Which brings us to HHH coming out and telling us Daniel will get a match with Kane next week.  Spot in the Royal Rumble is on the line, and Daniel’s luck is going to run out.

The night ends here.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

The highlight of the night here was seeing Daniel Bryan in the ring.  The show seemed a bit flat to me though, because nothing really changed much, other than Smackdown airing on a new night.

Is Kane Vs Daniel Bryan again, a bright idea?  And why do I have a feeling they are going to screw D-Bry again?  Maybe I just don’t have any confidence in Vince McMahon anymore.  It’s time for him and the company to prove me wrong.

What were your thoughts on the show?  Send them to me.
