WWE Thursday Night Smackdown 1/29/15…Super Smackdown Live

Tonight, The Road to Wrestlemania begins, after Raw was cancelled to Mother Nature, we are live in Hartford, Connecticut.

The blue brand starts here.

Michael Cole, Byron Saxton, and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show.

Tonight, The Big Show faces Roman Reigns.  We will also see Daniel Bryan Vs Kane, in a Casket Match.

Eden Stiles welcome us to the show, HHH.

Behold the King of Kings….On your knees punk.

HHH welcomes us to Monday Night Raw.  Oh wait, that was a joke.  After all, the weatherman told them they must cancel Monday Night Raw.

For the first time, Raw was at WWE Studios.  You tell them they can’t do it, and they can.  You tell them they can’t get 1 million subscribers to WWE Network?  This week, they reached the 1 million mark, and he has two words for us….Thank you.

And they were told they can’t have Raw in Hartford, so they bring Smackdown to Hartford.

Which brings us to last Sunday.  It seems there was controversy with the Royal Rumble.  But come to think of it, other sports has controversy too.  It seems Roger Goodell doesn’t have enough balls.

NFL, some guys like their balls hard, some guys like their balls soft.  According to Tom Brady, some don’t even like balls.

That’s one thing HHH hasn’t had an issue with, balls.  And unlike Roger Goodell, who does nothing, HHH will deal with the problems head on, such as on February 22nd, he has a problem with a man called Sting.  He will deal with him, head on.

But there were other controversies, not with the WWE World Title match itself.  He is referring to possible the best World Title match, which proved to the world, Seth Rollins is the future.  The match proved to the world was John Cena is the past.  And Brock Lesnar proved to the world that he is a beast.

But he has a problem with the Royal Rumble match itself.  People were so upset that people couldn’t stop talking about it.  And he had an issue with something that happened.

We see footage of Reigns winning the Rumble, with some help from The Rock.

This coming Monday, he is going to fix that problem, and he will make an announcement that will shake the foundation to its core.

Enter Roman Reigns.

Hunter keeps talking about controversies, Roman doesn’t see it.  He won the Royal Rumble and that means he is going to Wrestlemania.

Indeed, HHH said Reigns did win that match, but let’s see if he wins this one.

The Big Show Vs Reigns, now.

Reigns win with a spear.  The fans truly did not like Reigns again, booing almost every move, until Reigns hits the spear.

A big win, heading into this coming Monday.

We see a casket, tonight it’s Daniel Bryan Vs Kane in a Casket Match.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is the new WWE Hall of Famer, and we get the induction video.

Seth Rollins shows up, with a smile.

He lost this Sunday, but he told us just how good he is.

Seth was 1 second away from pinning John Cena, and becoming WWE World Champion, and he broke Brock Lesnar’s ribs.

John Cena can’t say that, neither can The Undertaker.  But even with the loss, he has the future, as he raises the MITB briefcase, he has his future in good hands.

So he challenges anyone in the back to answer his open challenge.

Feed Me More!!

Ryback shows up, but J & J Security take him out, but here comes Erick Rowan to help out.

Rollins and & & J Security beat down Rowan and Ryback but Dolph Ziggler helps them both out.

Kane is up on the screen, describing the pain and suffering he is going to give Daniel, and end his misery once and for all.

Tyson Kidd Vs Jey Uso is up now.

Tyson picks up the win, with his Fisherman Neckbreaker.

Tonight, Daniel Bryan Vs Kane in a Casket Match.

Next, John Cena addresses Rusev.

At Fast Lane, it will be Rusev Vs Cena.

Rusev, with the lovely Lana is in the ring.

Rusev is irate over what happened at Royal Rumble.  He should be declared the winner.

Lana speaks, but Rusev interrupts.  Rusev is the only undefeated superstar, our United States Champion.

Rusev should not be facing Cena, he should be facing Lesnar.  John Cena does not have the hunger Rusev has, John Cena is a loser.

And of course, this brings out John Cena.

Even though the WWE Universe may not see eye to eye with Cena at times, but he thinks they may agree, either Rusev shuts up, or Cena shuts it for him.

This is a lesson in the word respect.  Rusev, your undefeated United States Champion, and has crushed everything in his path, but he just made the biggest mistake of his life.  Calling Cena a loser? The past?  Allow Cena to remind Rusev something, Cena is a 15-time World Champion, he is a 2-time Royal Rumble winner, he has appeared in 10 Wrestlemanias, and he is the face who runs this place.

Rusev just needs to learn his role, Rusev says he isn’t a challenge, he tells Rusev to dance with to the Hartford Hoedown, let’s fight right now.

Lana tells Rusev to not waste his time in this.

Rusev steps up, but then steps down and walks away.

Another day to fight.

Cena tells Lana that his heart isn’t a waste of time.  Cena’s heart fights Rusev at Fast Lane, and this heart will say The Champ Is Here.

Another match is set at Fast Lane.  Paige will face Nikki Bella, for the Divas Title.

Renee Young is with Paige.

The Bella Twins interrupt the interview, and make fun of Paige’s skin.

Paige goes after Brie, but Nikki has the last word.

Gold and Stardust are set for action, facing The Ascension.

The Ascension win with Wasteland.  Stardust made a blind tag to Goldust, and Goldust did not seem to like that.

Justin Farmer from the new show “Wizard Wars” is backstage.  The Miz and Mizdow interrupt.

Bray Wyatt interrupts with a message.

What makes us smile?  Spending time with loves ones?  Money?  Memory from our childhood?  But Bray is different.  He finds joy in things that make our Mommies and Daddies protect the kids, out of fear.  But Bray is different, and he asks us what makes us smile?  Because he promises Bray can ruin that moment, and make sure we don’t smile, again.

Daniel Bryan put Kane inside a Casket, and is celebrating with the fans, chanting Yes!!

This Monday, HHH will give us an announcement that will shock the world to its core.  How will this reflect Roman Reigns?

Kevin’s Thoughts:

After Raw being cancelled on Monday night, I was expecting more of a big show, but again, WWE did not capitalize.  It’s like no matter what happens, Raw will always be the number one show, and Smackdown a distant second.  I get that, but is it too much to pack a show with interesting things?  I bet you next week, we will see Daniel Bryan Vs Kane in an Ironman match, just because they feel like it.

What is the news for Monday night?  Are they adding a third wrestler to Wrestlemania?  It sure seems like it to me, although Monday’s segment with Brock and Reigns made me believe Roman was the right choice, all along.

Just not sure, and boy, they did nothing with Ziggler tonight, didn’t they?
