Impact Wrestling 2/20/15…20 Man Gautnlet Battle Royal

A video is playing, centering around the Gauntlet Battle Royal tonight.  The top 5 this week will determine the final 5 spots.  EC3 will enter at 16, as number 5 contender.  Samoa Joe is at 17, as number 4.  Lo-Ki will enter as number 18, with contender number 3.  MVP will come in at 19, so BDC will rule the last part of the Battle Royal.  And Kurt Angle will be number 20, he is the current Number One Contender.

Kurt Angle comes out, to say that he came back to be the TNA World Champion and he will win the Battle Royal tonight.  It’s real, it’s damn real.

Lashley is backstage, he needs to find Kurt and have a little talk with him.

6-Man tag action of Matt Hardy and The Wolves facing “Cowboy” James Storm, Abyss, and Manik.

The Wolves and Hardy win when Hardy hits a Twist of Fate, and The Wolves nail a foot Stomp, pinning Manik.

After the match, Storm ordered Abyss to hit a Black Hole Slam after The Revolution took out the 3 victorious ones on Manik.  Punishment for taking the fall.

20 Man Battle Royal tonight to determine the new Number One Contender.

Ladies and gentlemen, EC3.

Trouble…..trouble….trouble…..

Ethan is not in a good mood, because he had a chance to cut Spud’s hair, but someone got into his business when he didn’t need to.  And that someone will pay for it.

Mr. Anderson enters.

That someone has a name, that someone has a family.  That someone is from Green Bay, Wisconsin. That someone is MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR….. Andersooooooooooooon!!

Anderson tells EC3 that he shaved JB’s head, tried to shave Spud’s hair.  So how about Anderson shaves EC3’s hair?

Anderson shows him he has a razor to go with it.  But EC3 has Tyrus to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Spud and Mandrews are behind EC3, and they deck him, while Anderson has a hold of Tyrus.  Tyrus tries to fight back, but Anderson comes in and nails a Mic Check, while they now shave Tyrus’ head, with EC3 watching outside of the ring.

Spud tells him that Tyrus was the fastest customer in the Rockstar Spud’s barber shop, and EC3 is next.

BDC talk, they will control the Battle Royal, and come out on top, because they can.

Mickie James is outside of the building, she is here to discuss Magnus’ condition, so stay tuned.

Last month, we saw Bram take out Magnus.

It’s now Al Snow Vs Grado.

Grado wins the match with what he calls a Wii kick.  He reminds me of Trevor Murdoch, even looks like him.

After the match, Al Snow raised his arm up in the air, but the BDC come out and laid them out.

But some guy in a hoodie come out with a crow bar, and nails Lo-Ki.  The guy reveals himself to be Drew Galloway, the wrestler formerly known as Drew McIntyre.

Coming up next, Angelina Love will attempt to be a 7-time Knockout Champion when she faces Taryn Terrell.

Angelina and her boys all take a selfie, with Awesome Kong lurking in the background.

Taryn wins with a Cutter, retaining her title.

But here comes Awesome Kong.  Taryn tries to fight, but Kong just overpowers her, and hits an Impact Buster.

But here comes Gail Kim to make sure Kong doesn’t take the Knockout Title.

Gail Kim Vs Kong would always make me happy.

Lo-Ki has to have stitches in his ear to heal up the wound he has.

Tonight, 20 Man Battle Royal Gauntlet to determine the Number One Contender for the World Title.

The wrestlers discuss the match.

Tommy Dreamer heads to the ring.

Last time Tommy was in this ring, he was dropped on his head, and his neck was hurt.  Eric Young, come out and fight now.

Eric Young Vs Tommy Dreamer is now.

EY wins the match with a piledriver, and beat a bloody Dreamer. A good brawl between the two.

Lashley is heading into his locker room, and Mickie James is coming out next.

We see footage between Magnus and Bram the last few months.

Hardcore Country!!

Mickie James makes her TNA return.

Mickie is here to talk about what has happened with Bram. She had an incredible year, she has a beautiful son. She became engaged, and the fans boo over that. But a few weeks ago, her fiancĂ©e’s so-called “best friend” beat him down, and left him in an alley.

Bram calls himself a man’s man, but where she comes from, he is nothing but a coward.

Bram comes out to the ring.

Bram has a cue ball.

All of the times when Magnus was there for Bram, and he does this? He has nerve damage, and can’t even hold his own son.

Bram needed Magnus to open his eyes. When he grew up with Magnus, he was a whiskey-drinking fighting machine. And now, he is a pansy. He blames this on Mickie, because he is stuck with her. He is stuck with a bratty kid, and a redneck.

Mickie brings up Bram knows deep down, Magnus would beat his ass, and deep down, Bram is nothing but a little bitch.

Bram has the cue ball and corners Mickie, but Mickie slaps him.

Lashley is with Kurt Angle, and seems taken aback about nobody being able to stop Kurt. Lashley is the World Heavyweight Champion.

Kurt respects Lashley’s accomplishments, and he respects he is the World Heavyweight Champion. But Lashley has never been in the ring with Kurt, and next week he is going for gold.

Lashley will just back off, and watch this happen.

20-man Battle Royal is next.

MVP wins the Battle Royal, after some distractions from BDC, who stayed out there after Kurt Angle eliminated every one of them at the end.

Lashley is watching on, and next week it will be MVP Vs Lashley for the World Title.

The show ends here.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

A better show tonight than last week. Some nice surprises with a new debuting wrestler, not to mention a returning Knockout.

Next week, MVP Vs Lashley should be a good match, and we will see where we go from here.

What were your thoughts on the show? Send them to me.

Impact Wrestling 1/16/15…The Hardys Vs The Wolves

We see footage from last week, with all of the champions defending their titles.  We also saw Awesome Kong make her return to TNA, and a new World Champion was won, when Lashley defeated Roode.  Eric Young and Samoa Joe turned their backs on Roode, where do we go from here?

Impact Wrestling, on Destination America is now.

Josh Matthews is in the TNA studios in Nashville, showing us a preview of what we will see tonight.

We see Roode from last week.  His friend Eric Young took something from him that means something, and tonight, he challenges Eric Young to a match.  Roode will make EY pay.

Our season premiere is in New York City.  We will see The Hardys Vs The Wolves.

MVP’s crew come out, with Joe, Lo-Ki, Kenny King, and MVP.

Just when we thought we could laugh at MVP’s demise, he switches gears, change lanes, and bam….MVP is in control again.

MVP knew from day one of the wrestling business, it would be him Vs the world.  He knew he would surround himself with minds that think alike.  He had to go to his family.  Guys like Samoa Joe and Lo-Ki, guys he had ridden with and grew up with in the indys, back in the day.  He calls these guys The Beat Down Clan, or BDC.

Before we go to the new World Champion, here is “Showtime” Eric Young.

Tonight, no DQ match is set, Roode Vs Young.

MVP and EY haven’t seen eye to eye on anything, except one thing.

Just to be super clear, our opinion doesn’t matter.  The truth is a funny thing.  The truth is EY and MVP.  They couldn’t be in the ring together a month ago, but he did something for his family.  He gave the title to his brother, and he respects that.  He had a brother once.  When EY was World Champion, he gave Roode a title chance, and EY beat him.  But when Roode was champ, where was EY’s shot?

Maybe Roode was afraid EY would beat him, again?  Because nobody knows better that he is a world-class wrestler.  A world-class athlete.  When EY was laid up in the hospital, where was Roode’s visit?  Where was his call?  He just received a text.  And now, he took something of Roode, and tonight, he takes everything else.

MVP introduces us the new 2-time World Heavyweight Champion, “The Destroyer” Lashley.

No Lashley on the ramp.

But here comes Kurt Angle, instead.

Look at the 5 of them being called a family, he sees thugs in the ring.  And he tells EY that he will get payback tonight, because Bobby Roode will kick his ass.

MVP warns Kurt he is breathing, and Kurt tells them he isn’t the Director of Authority anymore, he can’t make matches, but he can make them all tap.

Joe gets into Kurt’s face, and the two men have a face-to-face, with Kurt giving a cheap shot.

Officials try to back them up, and Kurt issues a challenge against Joe, now.

Joe Vs Angle, now.

Joe makes Kurt tap out with the Rear Naked Choke, after Joe shoved Kurt into the ref, and kicked him in the balls.  But Joe picks up the win.

During the match, they tried to get a word in with Roode, but Bobby wasn’t there.  After the match, BDC attacks Kurt a bit more, with EY and Roode comes out, with a chair when we go to a break.

We come back from a break, with Roode sitting on a chair.

He is trying to be calm about this, but this crap has gone on too far.

He heard Eric Young talk about why he ended a 15-year friendship, and cost Roode the TNA World Championship, the only thing he loves about this business.

And everything EY spewed out was bullshit.

This ring is Bobby’s home, and they are in New York City.  Tonight is not about wrestling, it’s about payback, and tonight, Roode will make EY pay for what he has done.

Josh and Taz are in the studio.  Tomorrow morning, we will get Mike Tenay’s Impact Unlocked.  He will have an interview with Magnus, and we get an exclusive part of it.

We see footage from last week when EC3 shaves Jeremy Borash’s head to get to Rockstar Spud.

Spud approaches JB.

EC3 has become insane, and JB told Spud that the hair will grow back, but someday, EC3 will get what is coming back to him.

The Revolution is in the building.

They sit in the balcony, watching the next match.  Number One Contender’s match with The Hardys Vs The Wolves.

Winner gets a shot at Tag Gold.

The Hardys win with a double side effect, Matt pinning Eddie.  The Revolution is watching along.

Next week, it’s Feast or Fired.

Bram has his thoughts.  He’s all about this opportunity and knows he and Magnus can take control of everything.

Kenny King is discussing things with MVP.  MVP assures Kenny that everything is cool with the champ.  If not, they have another plan.

EY is pacing around nervous, saying he will show us and the world that he has what it takes to go after Roode.

Roode Vs EY, No DQ match is next.

We come back, and it seems EC3 and Tyrus invade the controls, and EC3 is challenging Jeremy Borash to a match, one on one next week.  He will give JB 30 minutes to answer to the challenge.

The TNA World Champion has entered the building.

Eric Young Vs Bobby Roode, in a No DQ match is up now.

In what was a brutal fight, EY hits a Piledriver, right on a chair to pin Roode.

MVP and Kenny King come out to the ring.

He tells Roode he is headed for the hospital, and we will get to hear from the TNA World Champion.  But perhaps Roode gets a hospital visit?

Austin Aries, the new X-Division Champion defends the title against Lo-Ki.  Things are different this week, with Ki now aligning himself with a group.  Strength in numbers.  He warns them that when Austin is in a corner, he can be a very dangerous man.

Lo-Ki Vs Austin Aries, but next The Beautiful People Vs Taryn Terrell and the returning Brooke.

EC3 and Tyrus are waiting to hear from JB.

Last week, we saw the return of Brooke and Awesome Kong.

We hear from Brooke, she doesn’t like Robbie E.

Brooke and Taryn Vs BP, now.

BP wins when Brooke slaps Robbie, but Velvet rolls Brooke up for the win.

BP celebrate in the ring, the lights go out, and come back, we see Awesome Kong waiting for them.

She takes them both out, chokeslams DJ Z, and now here comes Havoc.

Officials come out to break them up, while the fans want them to fight.

EC3 walks in to confront JB.

JB is not a fighter, and EC3 tells him he is the heart and soul of TNA for 13 years.  And when Carter shaved JB’s head, nobody came to check on him.  Why?

Because nobody cares.

JB accepts the challenge.

Aries Vs Lo-Ki is up next, and we will get Feast or Fired match, next week.

Camera crew follows Manik to hear from James Storm.

It’s time for us to be introduced to the newest disciple, Khoya.

Khoya in his own country, India was lost.  But now, he has found The Revolution.  Next week, the power, the speed, and the destruction will be unleashed on Impact Wrestling.

Feast or Fired video is being shown now.

X-Division Title match is up now, Austin Aries Vs Lo-Ki.

Lo-Ki is now the new X-Division Champion, with some help from Beat Down Klan.  Ki pins Austin with a Springboard leap.

Lashley is headed to the ring, next.

We come back, and see Beat Down Clan in the ring.

We see what they represent, and now are in the driver’s seat and with everything that has happened, the World Title comes back home.

He brings out “The Destroyer” Lashley.

We should be applauding this man, the most dominant World Heavyweight Champion in TNA history.

What we see now are winners, something the fans aren’t used to, at the home of the Jets.

Lashley looks like a champion, the suit, the clothes.  MVP made Lashley look like this.  The World Heavyweight Championship belongs to Lo-Ki, Joe, EY, Kenny King, and MVP.  The title belongs to The Beat Down Clan.

Lashley tells him the title belongs to Lashley.

MVP tells him the title is about what BDC did.

Lashley tells him this isn’t his way, they can do what they want, and he’ll do what he wants.

MVP wants to calm things down.  He tells Lashley when they were both in that other company, Lashley was the one who welcomed MVP with welcome arms, who showed him the way, and for that reason they can go their separate ways.  No hard feelings.

He gives Lashley a hug, and a kiss on the head, which triggers BDC to attack Lashley, with the title.

MVP holds the TNA World Title, with his foot on Lashley.  Blood is on Lashley’s face.

The World Heavyweight Championship does not belong to Lashley, it belongs to the Beat Down Clan.

Next week, Lashley Vs MVP in a street fight, and the return of Feast or Fired match.

The show ends, here.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Well, MVP is certainly a good voice to give this new stable, I just don’t like the name.  I prefered Franchise Players, it fits their name better.  But it is what it is.

I also like Josh Matthews, and the job he has done in the 2 weeks he has been with the company.  He and Taz should work well together in the coming weeks, as they get more familiar.

And that also includes this new presentation.  They kept showing footage of Josh and Taz in the booth calling the action, it feels old school meeting new school, although it looks better when the announcers are physically there.

But let’s talk about the matches.  4 big matches took place tonight, with Joe Vs Angle, Wolves Vs The Hardys, Aries Vs Ki, and of course Roode Vs Young.

Speaking of EY, either he’s a part of BDC or not.  I hated that they kept bringing up he isn’t, yet he was there in every segment with BDC.  It was a bit confusing, and I was not a fan of his explanation, but I did like the new approach he took in the match with Roode.  He seemed to have a new direction there, which was fun to watch.

And I absolutely love The Revolution, especially watching the match in the balcony when we saw Hardys Vs Wolves.

And seeing Kong’s entrance again, on top of the confrontation with Havoc was awesome.

2 straight good shows in their debut of Destination America, which makes it a good thing.

What were your thoughts of the show?  Send them to me here.

Impact Wrestling 9/17/14….No Surrender

Tonight, at the Manhattan Center, it’s being called as a “must-see” episode of Impact. Bobby Roode will face Bobby Lashley for the World Heavyweight Championship. Also match 3 of the Ultimate Tag Team Battle. The Hardys Vs Team 3-D vs The Wolves. Can the Wolves continue this series, or will we see new World Tag Team champions? And, we have Samoa Joe Vs Homicide for the X-Division Title.

Impact Wrestling is now.

Our first match is the Knockout Battle Royal, to determine the Number One Contender to the Knockout Title.

Taryn Terrell Vs Madison Rayne Vs Angelina Love Vs Velvet Sky Vs Rebel Vs Brittany Vs Havok.

Havok wins, eliminating Velvet Sky as the final woman. Havok will now face Gail Kim for the Knockouts Title.

Tonight, match 3 of the Ultimate Tag Team Series, and Bobby Roode vs Lashley, for the World Title.

Earlier tonight, Bobby Roode entered the building.

2 weeks ago, Gunner and Samuel Shaw lost to Bram and Magnus. Samuel freaked out, over Gunner being hurt. Gunner suggests that Samuel goes to see his therapist. Gunner suggests that he takes Brittany out, and Samuel Shaw has his mind fixated on someone else.

MVP and Kenny King come to the ring.

MVP tells us later tonight, in this ring, the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, “The Destroyer” Lashey will face Bobby Roode, where Lashley destroys his dreams. The headlines will read tomorrow morning “Roode Awakening”. MVP wants to bring out our hometown hero, Chris Melendez.

Here he comes.

MVP just wanted to say Chris is without question an American hero. He wanted to thank him for everything he has done for his country. Chris, with his history is a “killer” and they can kill too. With the right people, Chris can make alot of money.

Kenny assures Chris that he has done well on TV, he can carry their bags.

Chris declines the offer, and Kenny thinks he is disrespecting Kenny.

He wants a match with Melendez, and the match is set.

Melendez wins with a rollup, picking up the win. Kenny lays Melendez out, and dares to take the prostatic knee off, and expose him to the world, but Mr. Anderson comes out, and helps him.

“The Destroyer” Bobby Lashley’s video is now playing.

Backstage, Anderson tells Chris that just because the fans respect you, doesn’t mean the boys in the back will. Chris tells Anderson he is okay.

Payback is coming.

X-Division Title match is up now….Homicide Vs Joe.

Joe wins with the Rear Naked Choke, making Homicide tap out.

Joe shakes Homicide’s hand, and we see Storm lay him out. Homicide fights Storm, and is kicked by The Great Sanada.

Manik comes out in a completely different mask and attire. He hits a Frogsplash on Homicide, with all three men celebrating in the ring.

The Revolution has grown.

JB is with The Wolves. Match 3 is up next, and this is a must-win ladder match. Eddie Edwards says this match is about a legacy, their legacy.

Richards says The Wolves are on even par with the legends, and tonight, their hunt never dies.

Match 3, a ladder match is next.

Still to come tonight, Lashley Vs Roode, for the TNA World Title.

EY checks in with Roode, wishing him luck. Roode is ready, and EY wishes him luck.

Match 3 of the Ultimate Tag Team Series, with The Hardys Vs Team 3-D Vs The Wolves.

The Wolves win the match in what was the best of the series so far. Action everywhere, and now all 3 teams have won one apiece. Winner takes all in match 4.

Our next match now is Bram Vs Gunner.

Bram wins when Samuel Shaw came out, and cost his friend the match, Bram rolls up Gunner for the win.

Our main event….Lashley Vs Roode is next.

Earlier tonight, Havok wins the Knockout Battle Royal. She faces Gail Kim for the title.

Gail isn’t afraid of Havok, so bring it.

Lashley Vs Roode is now.

Roode hurt his knee during the match, and when he tried a Roode Bomb, it buckled. The champ then nailed a spear, and pins Roode to retain his title.

A very good match to end the show.

Next Wednesday, we will have an 8-man battle royal to determine who faces Lashley for the title.

Kevin's Thoughts:

Another good show that featured 3 great match, and we saw the show pick up some steam in the final hour. I also like the new Revolution, and what can I say about the main event? Roode Vs Lashley was every worth the second of watching it, and it was on free TV.

The only disturbing trend I see is we still don’t have any matches set for Bound for Glory. We are only 3 weeks away, and it’s time to see what we are in store to see.

I recommend this episode if you missed it, especially the main event title match. Who’s next for Lashley? We will find out, what was your thoughts of the show? Send them to me.

Impact Wrestling 9/3/14…Bobby Roode Vs Eric Young Says It All

Tonight, Bobby Roode Vs “Showtime” Eric Young to determine who the Number One Contender is to the World Heavyweight Title. We also saw video from last week when Team 3-D won match one of the Tag Team Invitational. What stipulation will Team 3-D choose next?

Impact Wrestling is now.

Earlier today, EY and Roode entered the building.

We are in the Manhattan Center, Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us to the show. Gail Kim Vs Taryn Terrell for the Knockout Title. Also a 6-Pack match to determine the Number One Contender to the X-Division Title.

Franchise Players enter the ring.

Lashley is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and soon to become the Bellator MMA World Champion. There isn’t a man in the entire planet that is tougher than Lashley.

Samoa Joe might disagree, here comes the X-Division Champion.

Joe is impressed with MVP being a hype man, instead of main eventing, he is singing the praises of his man. He is a specimen, but the issue he has is MVP is trying to say he is the toughest man in the planet. He sure isn’t the toughest man in this ring right now. So let’s make it simple, slide these titles to the side, and Lashley can fight Joe, tonight.

Kenny King told him he can’t win, and now Joe decks him. The numbers game catches up however.

Officials come out, and hold Joe back while the champ leaves.

But Lashley agrees they will fight tonight.

Havok has arrived, tonight.

Video is promoting Gail Kim Vs Taryn Terrell for tonight. It starts now.

Gail Kim wins in what was a very good match with a reverse body drop, pinning Taryn.

The two shake hands, and hug, showing good sportsmanship.

But now, here comes Havok.

She attacks both women, hits a DVD, and chokeslams Gail Kim, along with a DVD.

Tonight, Eric Young Vs Bobby Roode, for the Number One Contender on the line.

MVP catches up with Eric Young backstage, warning him that Roode is only out for himself, and he treated Eric horrible, carrying his bags. EY walks away, saying he doesn’t trust MVP.

EC3 comes out to the ring, next.

The Bromans are ready for their date, with a TNA Knockout.

Ladies and gentlemen, EC3.

EC3 is sick of everyone, from the mutants in the Manhattan Center, to the men and women in the back, giving great pleasure over what happened to his sweet, dear Auntie. We are all cheering for a lunatic who put Aunt Dixie through a table.

Everyone will pay, and Rhino will start with that payback, because of what he did. His violence will continue until his list of demands is met.

Demand number 1, the immediate termination of Bully Ray.

Demand number 2, the words Hardcore and ECW will stop, because we are tired of living in the past.

Demand number 3, respect. He has beaten everyone he has faced, and he has earned that respect, and stop with the chants of you can’t wrestle.

He is a Carter, and the world needs a Carter.

Here comes Rhino to end the fun.

Rhino wants EC3 in the ring, so he can beat the living hell out of him.

Rhino will get a fight, his opponent is Rockstar Spud.

Brittany has a thing for Samuel Shaw it seems. Gunner approaches Samuel. He just wanted to see what it felt like being a hero, so he is sorry. Gunner forgives him, and next, Gunner and Shaw Vs Magnus and Bram.

Bram and Magnus beat Gunner and Shaw, when Bram clips Gunner’s knee, and Shaw misses the save.

MVP is trying to stir the pot with Roode now.

Roode Vs EY, next.

The Bromans matched up with the Beautiful People. Angelina tells them as long as they keep them happy, they will keep Bromans happy.

Roode Vs Young, now.

Roode wins the match with a Roode Bomb, becoming the new Number One Contender to the World Title.

The two shake hands, and embrace. Is there tension in the future?

Tonight, Samoa Joe Vs Lashley.

Moments ago, Bobby Roode pinned Eric Young, to become the new Number One Contender.

Backstage, we get to hear from Roode. He is exhausted, but ready. After sitting on the sidelines for 7 weeks, he is back to claim what is his. He goes to get some water, but runs right into Lashley.

JB is with Team 3-D, they chose a tables match.

Brother Ray picked the tables match for obvious reasons. It is their speciality. Tag Team wrestling is back. Last week, they won the first match, and now they just need to win one more, to become the new World Tag Team Champions.

Devon tells us to testify.

6-Pack Challenge is up now. DJ Z Vs Manik Vs Crazzy Steve Vs Tigre Uno Vs Homicide Vs Lo-Ki.

Homicide wins with a Gringo Killer, pinning Manik. He is now the Number One Contender to the X-Division Title.

“Cowboy” James Storm and The Great Sanada make their way to the ring.

Sanada looks to strike Manik. I guess he is the next target for Storm’s Revolution.

Sanada hits a Last Call Superkick, shoves Manik out of the ring, and they both drag Manik out of ringside.

Tonight, Joe Vs Lashley.

Austin Aries has the mic, in the ring.

Sanada blew green mist in his face last week, but before that, James Storm interfered. So if that is the game they play, come on out so they can play/

Storm tells him this is The Great Sanada. He is the man who has been reborn, and had a re-awakening. He walked towards the light, and Storm is the one who welcomed him with open arms. Just like he will do with Manik. He has a vision of greatness, a vision of championships. All led by The Legend himself, James Storm.

The Great Sanada will become the greatest man in Japanese wrestling.

Aries brings up Storm keeps using the word great, but the people think of one man when they think of great….”The Grestest Denominator” Austin Aries. Sanada was a great competitor in the X-Division, but then he became associated with an asshole, like Storm. Sanada pissed off the entire country of Japan, and Aries did not come alone.

Here comes Yoshihiro Tajiri.

Tajiri and Aries take care of business, and cleans the ring.

Spud comes over to EC3, to ask him why he threw him over the bus. Spud has a job to do, and if he doesn’t want to, he can leave. So he walks to the ring, and Spud follows.

Spud Vs Rhino, next.

Chris Melendez video, he will make his TNA Wrestling debut, next week.

Rhino hit s a Gore, Spud never had a chance.

EC3 walks away, he doesn’t care about Spud.

Next, Lashley Vs Joe.

Lashley wins with a spear in what was a fun match to see.

The show ends with the champion standing side by side with Kenny King at the ramp.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This had a better flow tonight than last week, and we will see match two next week with Team 3-D Vs The Hardys Vs The Wolves.

But the matches were good, with Roode Vs Young, Joe Vs Lashley, and Terrell Vs Kim. Not sure where they are heading with Havok quite yet, but she is surely going to be pushed, and it adds a bit more to the Knockout Division.

I do have a big issue though, its time to truly start pushing Bound for Glory. In fact, this should have been pushed about a month ago. I don’t believe they will have Roode Vs Lashley at the PPV, but they won’t do that. So where are they going? I thought the issue of less PPVs means more buildup to the big events, and make them must-see.

It’s time to showcase that, and they need to start next week. What were your thoughts on the show? Send them to me here.

Impact Wrestling 7/3/14…Eric Young Vs Lashley…World Title Rematch

Tonight, TNA celebrates 4th of July weekend with a World Title match. We will also see The Wolves in action.

Impact Wrestling in 5 minutes.

We are in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Kurt Angle kicks off the program, now.

Tomorrow, we celebrate our country’s independence. Tonight, we celebrate freedom. This is Kurt Angle’s Red, White, and Blue Throwdown.

Before we get to the matches, Kurt calls for Earl Hebner to come to the ring.

MVP fired Earl a few weeks ago, and as his new boss, Kurt just re-hired him.

First match is EC3 taking on Bully Ray, in a Tables Match.

Second match is Triple Threat for the World Tag Team Titles with The Wolves Vs Jessie Godderz and DJZ Vs The Menagerie. We will also see a Knockout Title match with Gail Kim Vs Angelina Love, and Eric Young Vs Bobby Lashley.

Here comes Samoa Joe.

Joe seems to be mocking Kurt’s new role. Kurt isn’t righteous and is no different from his processors.

Joe knows Kurt better than anybody in this company, and he covets the World Title more than anything. So how long before he gets into the Title mix after his leg heals?

Kurt has went through the same BS the last 8 years, as Joe.

Joe makes this clear, Kurt was bought and brought here, while Joe had to fight for everything he had.

Kurt said that one night Joe kicks everyone’s ass, then the next night, he comes half-ass. Does Joe have that same dedication as Kurt?

Joe was here building the wrestling industry, while Kurt was wined and dined, on leer jets. His name is Samoa Joe, and he IS pro wrestling.

That is the Samoa Joe we all want to see.

Kurt, be careful what you wish for.

Backstage, MVP runs into Bobby Roode, and MVP wants to fight, but Kenny King does it all for him.

Bobby isn’t even in MVP’s league.

Kenny leaves him laying with another kick.

Bobby Roode is being checked on, and Kurt comes in. He makes sure he is okay, and now he wants them to find Kenny King.

The Wolves Vs The Menagerie Vs The Bromans, Tag Team Titles is now.

The Wolves win, with Richards hitting a kick to the gut, pinning Jessie.

Angle gives us Roode Vs Kenny King in a Streetfight, later tonight. Also, a Tables Match with EC3 Vs Bully Ray.

Our streetfight, Roode Vs King is now.

Roode wins with a Roodebomb on top of a steel chair.

EC3 tells us that Bully Ray will not put him through a table, because he is a Carter.

Brittany has something to say, next.

Roode has been at home for two months, and he gets jumped on his first day. Kurt and Bobby hasn’t always gotten along, but he did the right thing. Tonight, he took care of Kenny, and he is destined to be the World Heavyweight Champion.

Austin Aries has a word with Kurt Angle.

He needs to prove he is the Denominator of Greatness. So he wants a rematch against Senada, for the X-Division Champion.

Kurt is on to him, Austin created “Option C” and we are upon Destination X. So he will grant him his rematch next week. And Kurt tells Austin the two of them need to have that match again, to see who is the greatest someday.

Austin likes that idea, and so do we.

Brittany has something to get off her chest, so she asks Madison Rayne to come to the ring, and she does that.

Madison tells Brittany if fighting her is the only way to get through to her this must stop, then get a referee.

Brittany tells Madison she was right, and Brittany was wrong. Brittany was a newbie, and she believed she could do anything without any consequences, and Madison tried to stop her. Brittany is sorry. Before Brittany got here, she looked up to her, and wanted to be just like her. Brittany learned a very important lesson in this.

If Brittany learned something, and she is genially sorry, she will be there for Brittany. She sees potential in her.

They hug it out, and the real lesson Brittany learned in this is never meet your hero.

Clothesline, and she tells the world they only disappoint.

DDT on the floor, and Brittany is admiring her move.

Over my dead body, those were the words Bully Ray heard before Slammiversary. EC3 showed he was tough to hang with him at the event. But if it wasn’t for Dixie and Spud, EC3 would have never walked out alive. He promised the wrestling world he would put his aunt through a table, but first, EC3 goes through a table….next.

EC3 puts Bully Ray through a table, because Rhino comes to the ring, and gores Bully Ray.

Rhino is now associated with The Carters.

Roode tells EY tonight is his night. EY is a bit concerned because he hasn’t beaten Lashley yet.

But Roode brings up the facts about EY. Nobody believed he would be World Champion. Nobody thought he would defend his title week after week against caliber of Roode. And the fact is EY retained his title at Slammiversary, and he will prove the naysayers wrong.

Roode is walking with EY to the ring tonight, to make sure MVP and Kenny King does not interfere.

Moments ago, Rhino makes his return to TNA, and gores Bully Ray.

Rhino does things because he wants to. Just ask Bully, he knows Rhino better than anyone.

Bound for Glory heading to The Rising Sun, Tokyo, Japan on October 12th.

History video of Samuel Shaw and Gunner.

Earlier today, Gunner brings Samuel Shaw back to TNA. He has to build that trust, and we start apologizing to you know who.

They run into Mr. Anderson.

Anderson doesn’t trust him.

Gunner wants Anderson to just give him a chance. Anderson takes him to Christy.

Samuel wants to move on, and he sincerely apologizes to Christy. He has been working out on his problems, and is trying to be a new man.

They aren’t quite buying it.

Stiffler is with Angelina Love. They are trying to butter him up.

Stiffler is the ref for tonight’s match against Gail Kim.

Knockout Title match is next.

Kurt pulls Stiffler out of the Knockout Title match, and putting Brian Hebner in.

Knux is telling Crazzy Steve and The Freak in order to make money, they must start winning matches.

They don’t understand.

Knockout Title match is up now.

Gail Kim, for the 4th time became the new Knockout Champion, when she hits an Eat Defeat, after Angelina had Gail beat.

Brian threw out Velvet during the match, so this was a clean win.

Bobby Lashley, defending his TNA World Title against Eric Young, next.

Jason Hervey wants Kurt’s take on tonight, and future. Impact will be in New York, with all of the titles on the line, except World Title Match. Kurt has a 20-man Battle Royal to determine the Number One Contender to the title.

Our main event, Eric Young Vs Bobby Lashley, for the World Title is now.

Lashley wins with a spear. Earl Hebner threw out both Roode and MVP, and Lashley earns the win. Bobby celebrates in the ring, as the show ends.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

The crowd wasn’t as jacked as they had been the last few weeks, but it was still far better than the last few months. I am actually looking forward to Impact now, and I used to not say that.

I enjoyed the matches too, every single one of them meant something, and even next week….X-Division Title match, and a Battle Royal to determine the Number One Contender.

Another thing that I enjoyed were the last two matches were clean, and had finishes. It looks like Eric Young’s quest as champion might be over though, which is not right. But Roode looks in gear to take it from Lashley, eventually, right? Bound for Glory?

I can’t wait for the coming month, we had a surprise return, in Rhino, and we will have more surprises to come.

Stay tuned. What were your thoughts? And I hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend, and a very safe night tomorrow.

Impact Wrestling 6/25/14…New World Champion Speaks

This is a big week for TNA, and I might say things are starting to look better. More on that in a bit.

Last week, Bobby Lashley made history, beating “Showtime” Eric Young and becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Where do we go from here?

Impact Wrestling is now.

The Trio of Power kick the show off, with the new World Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Lashley entering the building.

But Knockout tag action kicks the show off. The Beautiful People Vs Taryn Terrell and Gail Kim now.

Gail Kim and Taryn win when Gail pins Angelina with Eat Defeat.

The Trio Of Power are up next.

For the first time in history, TNA will present Bound for Glory, on October 12th, in Tokyo, Japan.

Dixie Carter is in a great mood, she has some news she will share and it’s great to be Dixie Carter.

The Trio of Power make their way to the ring, the trio of MVP, Kenny King, and Lashley.

MVP introduces us the new World Heavyweight Champion, Lashley.

MVP has regained his power, with Bobby Lashley being the new World Heavyweight Champion. It didn’t happen as quickly as he had promised, but they got the job done. Power is theirs. People stepped out of their lines, and they must pay.

Here comes Eric Young, in a sling.

When EY became champion, he knew politics and garbage would come back, and he is here to take care of business.

EY runs out to the ring, but is attacked.

Here comes Bobby Roode, through the crowd, helping out EY.

Commercial break.

Bobby Roode comes back on TV, he tells EY that the two of them have had their ups, and their down, but at the end of the day, they share 2 common grounds. One, is they signed with TNA on the very same day, and have built this company from the ground up. And number 2, they love the sport of professional wrestling, and they share that love and passion. And at the end of the day, MVP took that love away from Roode with that bullshit suspension.

But yet, he is back to dethrone MVP and his power, and to take the TNA World Heavyweight Title away from Lashley. And that begins today. He’s not just doing this for himself, for EY, but doing it for every single fan, and man and woman in the back.

So if he wants to keep him suspended, fine. If he wants to fire him, fine. But if he were to do that, then do it like a man.

So Roode still works for TNA? He will talk to Roode like a civilized man. Can he be civilized?

Roode made a big mistake, and he repeated it again. Because by action, there is a reaction. He is still Director of Operations. And because of that, Bobby Roode, he is….

Some guys shows up. Earl Sullivan Armstrong. He represents TNA’s board of directors. As of right now, he is no longer the Director of Operations of TNA.

His replacement will be here shortly, of this mess he has caused.

So Roode wants to make this sure, MVP is no longer in charge?

Well, with that being said, he will listen to the fans. Roode decks MVP.

The Menagerie is talking to some dude that they owe money. They can’t end the business. Crazzy Steve is in action against Senada.

The Bromans want a piece of Sanada, and so does Manik. Manik tells Steve he has something on his face.

Moments ago, we see a lawyer from TNA Board of Operations inform MVP he is no longer Director of Operations of TNA.

Spud informs Dixie everything will be glorious tonight. Dixie knew she was good at the board meeting, but not as good as she truly was. Dixie is getting complete control of TNA. She needs champagne.

Sanada heads to the ring, and he gets to choose which three men to choose. Either Manik, DJZ, or Crazzy Steve.

Sanada choose a Fatal 4-Way, for title match.

Sananda pins Crazzy Steve with a Bridge Suplex.

Dixie Carter is next.

Kenny King is confused by this, and MVP will square this away, from his lawyer.

Tonight, Monster’s Ball match with Abyss and Willow against Magnus and Bram.

Magnus and Bram are ready for this match, because now they get to use weapons and get away with it.

Here comes Dixie Carter, darling.

We all are witnessing something historic tonight. She put her faith in people, but in wrestlers. She put her faith in Roode, and he failed. She put her faith in Bully Ray, and he stole her money. And we put the faith in MVP, and he failed us. Now one of his “thugs” took the TNA World Title, and if it wasn’t for MVP’s bad leg, then it would have been him.

But she promises us that Dixie 2.0 will be better, because we will see more of her.

Now bring out the lawyer guy that told MVP he was relieved of his duties.

Earl Sullivan Armstrong made a mistake. She isn’t in charge of TNA either, the person isn’t here yet.

Enter Bully Ray.

Bully Ray sees a table, and he sips some champagne.

So how much money does Bully Ray want? $200,000?

Did Dixie just offer Bully Ray $200,000? That is a lot of money, so let’s see….take her money, or put her through a table.

He’s going to put her through a table.

EC3 shows up, and Bully flings him out, he whacks Spud. Dixie tries to slap him, but Bully catches Dixie.

But Spud flings the table away and saves her.

Moments ago, we see what we just saw. Dixie is now running, forget about Ethan, she is leaving.

Bully won’t rest until he makes good. Dixie, one day…you’re going through a table.

Mr. Anderson Vs “Cowboy” James Storm is now.

Storm wins with a Last Call Superkick, sending a message.

You still have time to vote for the favorite Knockout to grace the Knockout Calendar on ImpactWresting.com.

Samuel Shaw has been released from the funny farm, under Gunner’s supervision.

Storm greets Sanada, after his title defense. Destination X is upon us soon. And he has the opportunity to cash in the X-Divison, and make The Great Muta proud. But what happens if he fails? This gets Sanada’s attention, and Storm tells him he knows more about Sanada than he thinks.

EC3 is trying to get a hold of Dixie, but Tommy Dreamer fights him.

The two men have a good fight, until the officials break it up.

Willow and Abyss give us a great promo. Like it or not, but Willow has his way with words.

Monster’s Ball Match is next.

This match had everything, and ended with Bram pinning Abyss after nailing him with Janice. Magnus has thumbtacks on his back, and all four men worked hard for this.

The new Director of Operations is up, next.

The new Director of Operations? Kurt Angle.

He is giving back to the fans, and the wrestlers in the back. But if anyone wants to question his authority, try him.

The Trio of Power come back.

MVP wants to discuss this man to man. He knew he would have to watch his back with Dixie Carter, but now Kurt?

Are Kurt’s demons in check? Because he is about to have three evil demons in front of him.

Does Kurt think he can tell any of them to do? They have the power, and he feels he should end his power, before it begins.

If they land a finger on Kurt, he will fire all three of them, on the spot.

Lashley is the World Heavyweight Champion, and he will defend the title next week against “Showtime” Eric Young.

Kurt also just reinstated Bobby Roode.

Roode and EY come to the ring, and we have a wild fight, ending the show.

Next week, on Impact Wrestling. Kurt Angle and MVP….the war has just begun.

The show ends here.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Not as strong of a show as last week, but this was still good, and it did its job. Actually, I am looking forward to the upcoming shows, and tonight, I couldn’t wait to see Impact.

I loved the news of BFG going to Japan, because they will treat it like a big deal, and with Great Muta being involved somehow, the company will look to move up.

And Kurt Angle being in charge is a good thing. But TNA can’t give us a turn within a mont or two, here. It keeps Kurt on Tv, while he heals from his surgery, and with Lashley as champion, heading into Destination X, it is going to be a positive thing. But will Lashley headline BFG? Or heck, will he even headline Destination X? We will find out shortly.

What were your thoughts on the show? Send them to me.

Impact Wrestling Live 6/19/14…Where Do We Go From Here?

After a fun night of Slammiversary Sunday night, TNA needs to head to a positive step, with some touring this summer. We are now close to Destination X. Will we have a Senada sighting?

Impact Wrestling is now.

Last Sunday, we see footage from Slammiversary, when Eric Young overcame all odds, surviving a Triple Threat Steel Cage match, defeating Austin Aries and Bobby Lashley.

We are live in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and we open the show off with MVP, Kenny King, and Bobby Lashley.

MVP is in crutches.

Tonight, MVP will cut straight to the point. What happened 4 days ago at Slammiversary was a complete travesty. Dixie Carter went to the TNA office, and he got an official reprimand from the office. So because he was ordered to give a fair main event, he did that.

But fair to whom?

Not to MVP, or Bobby Lashley. He tried to do things their way, but it didn’t work. So tonight, this is his show. We are blessed to have 100% MVP tonight. He is starring, and directing, with co-stars. He demanded Eric Young to come out.

Here comes the World Heavyweight Champion.

EY said the only travesty that didn’t take place at Slammiversary is he didn’t get to punch MVP in the face. EY is still the World Heavyweight Champion, and he is on a bit of a roll.

MVP claims that EY and Aries colluded together, so he prevents Lashley to win the title.

EY doesn’t have any patience, and these people call the shots. This is their world, and we just live in it. He doesn’t have any patience, so he’s just going to come down and punch him in the face.

Kenny King wants the title shot, tonight.

EY is cool with that, and we are set to have the match.

EY wins the match with a rollup. He had some backup with The Wolves, Samoa Joe, and Austin Aries.

EY is on a roll.

We come back and see MVP slapping the bell-ringer, for ringing the bell. In his mind, Kenny King did not get pinned.

EY, Joe, Aries, and The Wolves come out to defend the bell-ringer, of no name. All 7 men are brawling.

Do we think this is a game? MVP runs this company, he is the Director of Operations. He is a God. This kindness is over, so this is how you want to play? It’s over. MVP will abuse his power. EY has a second World Title match tonight, against the man who beat him twice, “The Destroyer” Bobby Lashley.

He will ban every wrestler out of the building. Everyone except MVP, Kenny King, Lashley, and the referee.

We will also have another World Title match, with The Wolves defending it against Joe and Aries. And to make sure we have an actual fight, he will add another team and make this a Triple Threat.

MVP calls for Earl Hebner to come to the ring.

Earl had one simple job, and that was to count to three on EY’s shoulders, and he couldn’t do that right. Earl is fired.

Take his shirt off, now.

Brian Hebner comes out to defend his father, but MVP doesn’t want to hear about it. Unless he wants to be fired too, he needs to get out of the ring.

Earl tells him he has been in this business for 40 years, and he loves it. But he hates people like MVP. MVP doesn’t care, hit his music.

Dixie Carter is with EC3. She doesn’t care about what just happened, everything will take care of itself. This is about EC3.

He defeated Sting, an ICON. He defeated Kurt Angle, an American hero. Now he defeated Bully Ray, a Hardcore Legend. We can call him “Hardcore American ICON”.

Tommy Dreamer is here too, and he will have a chance to share his two cents with Dixie, later tonight.

EC3 has the night off.

Triple Threat match for the World Tag Team Titles is next.

Aries and Joe Vs The Wolves Vs ??

Eric Young is ready for this challenge against Lashley tonight. MVP has taken this too far. Someone just called Eric, and his cellphone read Kurt Angle.

The third team is Willow and Abyss.

The Wolves win a big match over Joe, Aries, Willow, and Abyss. Edwards pins Willow with a Powerbomb. This match had a bit of everything.

MVP is not amused that Kurt Angle is in town. Tonight, the game plan must work to bring that World Title to his faction. Wouldn’t it be a “travesty” if his repaired knee got hurt again?

Tommy Dreamer and Dixie Carter had a war of words on Tiwtter. Tonight, Tommy will address his issues with Dixie, and that is next.

Earlier tonight, MVP orders EY Vs Lashley, and he fired Earl Hebner.

Atlas security are kicking out Joe and Aries.

MVP talks to The Wolves, and they have to defend their tag titles again. They have to face Bram and Magnus.

Dixie Carter and Rockstar Spud make their way to the ring. Spud wearing a ridiculous suit that is ridiculously awesome.

The crowd is booing her like crazy. This past Sunday, she celebrated the victory of her nephew, EC3. Not only did he beat Bully, he destroyed him. And he beat him so bad, that he’s not here tonight.

Dixie makes this clear, she will never go through a table.

Everyone tries to ride her coattails, and that is what us “haters” do. We don’t run this company, she does. But she gives MVP a stern warning, he is digging his own grave by doing the things he is doing tonight.

But another person has been digging his own grave.

There is a man who has been saying some vulgar things about her lately on the internet. So instead of hiding behind his computer…

She forgets his name, and Spud tells her its Tommy Dreamer. She hired him a few years ago. Did he win any matches? Not really.

Here is Tommy, with no music.

She is starting to remember who he is now, coming along slowly.

Crowd is going crazy for Tommy.

Isn’t this better than hiding behind his computer, and saying some slanderous comments. Now is the time to do the right thing, and apologize.

Tommy thanks Dixie for inviting him to the place tonight. He has always gotten along with Tommy, personally.

Tommy remembers that their friendship began on social media. Social media has changed this business. He remembers tweeting her, congratulating her on the success. She DM’d him, and she invited him to her home, they watched a football game together, and struck up a business partnership.

They created Hardcore Justice together, and they could go out in this business, the way they wanted to.

She did this for the fans, she even had a beer in the ring, with them.

But what happened, Dixie?

The product he turns on, just isn’t the same anymore. He runs an independent wrestling company, called Hardcore Homecoming. He hears from doctors, lawyers, telling him they love wrestling and thanking him for doing everything he has done in this business.

This shouldn’t be about The Dixie Carter Show, this needs to be about the men and women, who would die for this company.

He knows she still has a heart, because he was at Slammiversary. He saw the look on her face, with her father, watching The Von Erichs have their moment, and seeing The Claw one more time, the look on her face was priceless. She still is a fan, and know she can do the right thing.

This gets to Dixie for a moment, she embraces Tommy, then knees him in the groin.

This is Dixie Carter, dammit. Do you know who she is? EC3 comes out now, and he lays some punches on Tommy.

The segment ends here.

Kurt Angle entered the building. He tells Kenny he wants to talk to MVP, and says hello to Lashley.

Bram and Magnus now Vs The Wolves, and MVP is making Kurt wait.

Bram and Magnus lay out the Wolves to be DQ’d. They just want to lay them out. They place a chair on Davey Richards head, but Willow and Abyss come out, and make the save.

MVP wants to talk to Brian Hebner.

Brian is crying, and MVP tells him there is no crying in wrestling. What he did to his father was business, not personal. MVP wants Brian to ref the main event match with EY Vs Lashley.

MVP makes sure that Brian receives a check every week, to make sure his kids are clothed, they have books. All Brian has to do is count 1…2….3, to make sure Lashley wins the title.

He agrees.

Taryn Terrell is back, and she is up next.

Bram and Magnus were paid off, and they delivered, Willow and Abyss attack them.

Gail Kim introduces the returning Taryn Terrell.

Gail gives Taryn her respect. She brings up last year’s Slammiversary, the two of them had a memorable Last Knockout Standing, and tore the house down. And on that night, Taryn beat Gail.

Taryn appreciates that, and admits that was the match of her life. She took time off, and had a beautiful baby, and now that she is back. She won the first match, Gail won the second, how about a third match for the tiebreaker?

The world wants to know who is the best Knockout.

Enter Angelina Love, and Velvet.

Who made Gail boss? Did she kick Gail too hard Sunday night? Allow Angelina to introduce herself to Taryn, and with that The Beautiful People start kicking Taryn and Gail, but the faces have the better end.

Why is Kurt here with MVP? Kurt has been watching this show at home, and he wants him to look at himself. Does he think this is the best way to get ahead?

MVP doesn’t want to hear about this, and Kurt has two options, either he joins them, or he gets beat down by three men.

Kenny runs his mouth, and Kurt decks him. He asks the other two men what are they going to do.

EY Vs Lashley is next.

JB confirms us that everyone is gone, and MVP kicks out JB and the camera guy.

Our main event, Eric Young Vs Bobby Lashley for the World Title is next.

Lashley wins the World Title with a spear, pinning EY clean.

The Unit goes after EY’s shoulder, and here comes Bobby Roode, from the crowd. He takes out Kenny King, and now wants Lashley.

A very interesting ending here, with Roode turning face. Making his return to Impact Wrestling, since his suspension.

But MVP has the power now.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Four matches tonight, but they all had a focus, and a purpose. And we also saw the return of Taryn Terrell. I want to see one more match with she and Gail. When that will be, I guess we will find out.

But going to EY losing, we could see it happen. He played the role of “Fighting champion” to heart, defending it almost every week. He also wrestled two times, so he was due. I am glad its Bobby that beat him though, and now with the addition of Bobby Roode. We can expect to see more entertaining promos from one of the best performers in the business…Bobby Roode.

I also loved Dreamer’s passionate speech. Will Dixie see the light? What did you think of the show? Send me your thoughts.

TNA Slammiversary 6/15/14

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Father’s Day, and Happy Father’s Day to my own father. Thank you for everything you have done.

TNA has given us a PPV tonight, celebrating 12 years, and we see the video that showcases where the company has gone in those 12 years.

MVP is being shown with Kenny King and Bobby Lashley. MVP can’t go tonight, he was hurt in the ring. Kenny King assures MVP that everything will be okay, and they are under control.

We are live in Dallas, Texas. Home of the Von Erichs. More from them in a bit. Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us to the show.

We are kicking off with the X-Division Ladder Match. We will have Sanada Vs Tigre Uno Vs The Wolves Vs Manik.

Sanada wins the match, and again, they truly need to showcase Sanada more. No advertisement during Impact over this match, but they did what they had to do, and that is cement themselves and set the tone for tonight.

Tenay and Taz go over the PPV, but MVP interrupts the fun.

MVP, Kenny King, and Bobby Lashley, or as I call them, The Unit come out.

MVP confirms that he met with the board, and they took him out of his title match. But, Eric Young will still have to defend his title, inside a steel cage in a Triple Threat match. The winners of Kenny King Vs Austin Aries and Bobby Lashley Vs Samoa Joe will face EY, later tonight.

And in interest of fairness, MVP vows he will not interrupt any of the matches.

Kenny King tells us that Austin Aries will lose, and Kenny King will show us why he is that good.

But now….Lashley Vs Joe.

Lashley pulls off the win, with spearing Joe after he almost ran into Earl Hebner.

Lashley is built strong here, and will head into the title cage match, later tonight.

JB is standing by backstage with The Carters, in their party suite.

Dixie is enjoying herself in her own hometown. What more can she ask? How about EC3 win? That is obvious, because of what happened a few weeks ago, when he was attacked by Bully Ray and those three people. He will show a vicious side.

What about that meeting she had with those board members? Now is not the time, or place. She will do it when the whole world is watching, in the ring.

In other words, she is not sure about the buyrate here, so she will tell the world at Impact.

Go away Jeremy, shoo.

Willow Vs Magnus, now.

We had all four men involved, not sure why we just didn’t have an actual tag match here. But Abyss fended off Bram, but Magnus stole the victory with a Bridge Suplex, finding a way to win.

We had a Janice sighting involved, but she wasn’t used.

We see the French broadcast table, I think they are talking about Aries Vs King match.

Tonight, we will find out the latest inductee of the TNA Hall of Fame, with Kurt Angle making the announcement.

JB is in the ring, introducing us to Kurt.

The crowd gives Kurt a standing ovation, as they should.

Kurt wants to thank the board of directors for giving him this opportunity to announce the newest inductee.

The newest inductee is….

Team 3-D.

Devon and Brother Ray. Not Bully Ray, but Brother Ray.

23 Tag Team Title reigns in our industry certainly warrants that induction.

We now get a Tables chant.

We have to have one more tag match at Bound for Glory between these two guys, and who better than to have it be against Beer Money?

Just throwing that out there.

Dallas crowd is lively tonight, I like this.

Brother Ray puts over Devon, saying how great it is to be standing in this ring with him, again.

They hug, and the fans want to see one more match, as do I…..do it TNA.

They accept the induction, and accept it for one reason, the fans. Every single one of us are responsible for making Team 3-D the most successful tag team in professional wrestling.

Devon speaks now.

Last August, when he left TNA, he vowed to not come back, because he thought he was through.

The crowd chants he still has it.

But then Devon had a phone call, saying they would be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame. With this man, he has been winning tag team titles together. And if it means they go out, they must do it together, and go out in a blaze of glory. So without further adeiu….oh my brother….TESTIFY!!

TNA is coming to New York City, with Impact Wrestling.

JB is standing by with EC3.

EC3 became an ICON when he defeated Sting. He then became the All-American when he defeated Kurt Angle. So when he beats Bully Ray tonight in a Texas Death Match, he will become the new Hardcore Hall of Famer. He is doing this tonight for his family, including Grandma, and his Aunt D.

He is a Carter, and the world needs them.

Austin Aries Vs Kenny King, winner goes on for the World Heavyweight Title, inside a steel cage.

Austin Aries pulls off a win with a Brainbuster off the top rope. Aries advances in what was a good match between the two men. The fans were into this, and again, the crowd is fun tonight.

One more match for Austin.

We now know later tonight, Eric Young Vs Bobby Lashley Vs Austin Aries is our main event inside a steel cage.

Members of the Dallas Cowboys are in attendance.

JB is in the ring, to introduce The Von Erich Family.

Ross and Marshall are starting their TNA careers, with Kevin accompanying them to the ring.

A very nice moment here.

Their opponents tonight? The Bromans.

Marshall is barefoot, and the younger of the two. Both men were trained by Harley Race, and at the NOAH dojo.

Marshall and Ross are facing Jessie and DJ Z.

Von Erichs win by DQ, when DJ Z has a chair shot, but the moment of the match came when Kevin took care of both men, and gave DJ Z a Mandible Claw, which the crowd went nuts for.

A very cool moment, here.

JB interviews Angelina Love and Velvet Sky. Angelina faces Gail Kim tonight.

How can Gail call herself the greatest Knockout of all-time, when she is the most decorated Knockout champ, winning 6 times.

JB insinuates she has won with Velvet all of the time.

But that is how they roll. They do everything together, and are 2. And 2 is always more fun than 1. Holla.

Knockout Title is up now, Gail Kim Vs Angelina Love.

Angelina wins with some help from Brian Stiffler.

Angelina wins with pulling the tights. Velvet used some hairspray in Gail’s eyes, with Stiffler seeing it, but doing nothing. Earl Hebner came out, and threw Velvet out of ringside. He took over, but we had a ref bump.

So Stiffler is right beside The Beautiful People?

Bully Ray is backstage with Devon. Bully is ready for his match tonight. Devon leaves, and Bully says that when he thinks of EC3, he thinks about a Texas Death Match. He thinks about The Von Erichs, he thinks about Stan Hansen, he thinks about his mentor, Terry Funk.

He will defeat EC3, and will crumble EC3, for his Aunt.

EC3 Vs Bully Ray, in a Texas Death Match is now.

EC3 shocks the world when he nailed Bully Ray through a table, after Dixie Carter ran out, and Bully was distracted to put her through the table.

Ethan hits him with the kendo stick. Fans don’t like it, but I sure do. TNA is putting Ethan over as a major star of the future.

“Cowboy” James Storm Vs Mr. Anderson is up now.

Anderson wins with a Mic Check, but Storm did his best getting some heel heat, spitting beer in George Selby of the Cowboys face, and the two got into each other’s faces.

Not enough time, but for what it was, we saw some heat.

Our main event is next, Eric Young Vs Austin Aries Vs Bobby Lashley, inside a steel cage.

EY is with JB right now.

He has 2 opponents, and is confronted by Aries.

Austin has tasted it once, and he’ll taste it again. May the best man won.

That’s one opponent, the man who created “Option C”, and his other opponent is a BEAST. Any sane man would be nervous, but Eric is crazy. Crazy enough to keep his belt.

Steel cage Triple Threat match is now.

EY retains the title with a Piledriver, pinning Aries. This was a pinfall or submission match, so no escape. Lashley broke through the cage, so EY found a way to survive.

After the match, EY and Aries shake hands after the match and Eric celebrates, as the show ends.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

A strong crowd tonight set the tone, and all of the matches did their job. Even though MVP was hurt, and couldn’t wrestle, TNA did the next best thing, giving us a triple threat match, and made those other 2 matches more important.

I also loved the choice of Team 3-D and tonight, Bully put EC3 over big time. Carter can now say he defeated 3 Hall of Famers.

Seeing The Claw with Kevin Von Erich was special too, the crowd loved seeing that in Dallas, and because of that, it was a moment for the fans watching the show.

All in all, this was a good show and it sets the tone this summer, when they are going to have Impacts, outside The Impact Zone.

What were your thoughts on the show? Send them to me here.

Impact Wrestling 4/17/14…The New World Heavyweight Champion Is In Action

Last week, Eric Young shocked the world, defeated Magnus for the World Heavyweight Title. A moment he is always going to remember. 17 years in the business, this title speaks for itself.

Eric Young heads to the ring with the new World Heavyweight Title. He says this title represents his hard work he has endured for 10 years. He will never forget our support, and vows that even though he won the title for himself, he is OUR champion. And the days of “paper” champion are over, and he will defend the title in any way we see fit.

Enter Dixie Carter.

What an emotional week this was for Eric. 12 hard-fought years, and there is one person responsible for this, Dixie Carter.

She has always been a supporter of Eric, and 8 years ago when fans were chanting don’t fire Eric. She allowed him to keep his job. And this beard, she created the beard. And she deserves royalty money for this beard.

Didn’t Bully Ray send her packing to Nashville? MVP beat her. Dixie told us she is still the president of Impact Wrestling, and Eric is the new hood ornament of her 2012 Ferrari, and he will go wherever she tells him.

EY isn’t buying this, but Dixie brings up that EY is disrespecting her title when he speaks to her in this manner.

Eric will flush her like the crap he takes.

EY will honor and obey, and EY tells her he obeys nobody. Always has, and always will. He is not her “paper” champion, and he will take his General Lee, and run her over.

This is a ’80s flashback? He will represent class, and represent how any champion should be.

He will get a makeover, and if he won’t she will go after his drunk wife.

Eric warns her one time not to bring his wife into this.

Enter Bully Ray.

Eric is a role model for anyone that has to put up with any crap from any owner that doesn’t care about the wrestlers.

Dixie should be proud of Eric, a man who has grown up in this company, from the ground up. From the bottom, all the way to become World Heavyweight Champion.

Bully stole Dixie’s money, so why is anyone listening to this?

Bully admits he spent that money in a strip club. Bully remembers last week, when she was standing in a corner, he was in the other corner, and if she knows her wrestling history, like she says she does, she knows what happens to people who cross him with tables near by.

This is Eric’s moment, his time, and he signs the goodbye song we all know, and love.

She exits the ring, and walks away.

Eric is a guy we can count on. This is a world champion we can get behind, and a champion we can count on. He doesn’t usually endorse people, but Eric is a man he respects, and likes.

He raises Eric’s hand. Knockout streetfight is next.

Velvet Sky Vs Madison Rayne in a Knockout Streetfight is now. Angelina Love accompanies Velvet.

Madison wins the match with a spear, after Angelina attempted to interfere, but failed. Madison Vs Angelina for the Knockout Title at Sacrifice.

EY thanks Bully backstage. he obliges, and heads on out back to New York, at Rick’s.

Abyss sneaks up on him, he wants a title shot tonight against Eric. EY accepts the match, but in a Monster’s Ball match.

Rock star Spud approaches EC3, Spud and EC3 faces Willow tonight. EC3 is motivating Spud, and it seems to be working.

MVP is in the ring, talking about last week, EY went through all of the sacrifices in a 10 year career.

He congratulates Eric, but now he wants to discuss Samoa Joe. Joe never called MVP about not showing up last week, and he wants to discuss matters on a one on one basis.

Here comes Austin Aries.

MVP seems to have forgotten about Austin since Lockdown. He doesn’t need any motivation, but sitting on the sidelines for 6 weeks puts a little fire on his ace. Validation? He has never brought up Austin’s value to the company. He had that gauntlet of the best TNA had to offer, but he didn’t have the greatest.

He wants answers.

MVP gives him answers about the time Austin screwed him over before Lockdown. So is this why? Because he screwed with MVP, his feelings were hurt?

This isn’t about Austin, it’s not about MVP, it’s about the fans.

But since he didn’t have any motivation, or validation, let’s get some participation.

The suit coat goes off, and Austin’s shirt goes off. Let’s go right now? No, next week.

Austin isn’t stupid, he’s not going to roll with a convicted felon. He will showcase how great he is, next week.

Tonight, Monster’s Ball match for the World Heavyweight Title. Eric Young Vs Abyss.

World Tag Team Titles match with The Wolves Vs The Bromans.

The Bromans are DQ’d when The Wolves had the match, and titles won. But he attacked them with his laptop.

I smell a No DQ match at the PPV.

Tonight, Bobby Roode issues an open challenge to anyone in a Tables match.

Also tonight, Monster’s Ball for the World Title. Eric Young Vs Abyss.

Willow does his thing backstage, saying only what Willow knows.

Footage from last week with Eric Young’s comments, after winning the title match.

Tonight, Monster’s Ball match with Abyss Vs EY.

EC3 and Spud Vs Willow in a Handicap match is up now.

Twist of Fate, Willow pinning Spud.

EC3 beats down Willow, and is about to give him a leg crab, here comes the return of Kurt Angle.

EC3 bails, and when we come back, Kurt has the mic.

EC3 just saw a ghost, but Kurt Angle is the greatest wrestler alive, and he is back.

Welcome back chants.

He is a TNA Hall of Famer. His career will end when he says it does. He has had many injuries, including winning a gold medal with a broken freaking neck. He may have injured him, he didn’t end him. And soon, these two will face each other in the ring. He will find out why people call him “The Cyborg”. A man who is capable of breaking any bone in his body. He won’t do it right away, he will take his time. He will tap out in his mind before his arm does. EC3, this fight will not end until they take him out in a body bag. It’s real, it’s damn real.

Bobby Roode wants it to be known he is challenging anyone to a Tables match, and wants Bully Ray to see what it’s like watching the “master” of table matches.

Sanada training video, and what it’s like to be the X-Division champion.

“King of the Night” Kenny King heads to the ring.

We all missed him, but “The King of the Night” is here, and he’s not going anywhere. We were all disappointed for months, wondering where Kenny King was, and he’s here. He is not here to talk about MVP, he wants to talk business. If you had a guy with Derek Jeter’s ability, would you put him on a bench? Would you bench Peyton Manning? Kenny is the “Lebron James” of TNA, and he is making it known, the winner of Sanada Vs Tigre Uno will face him. Kenny heads to the commentary table.

Match two of the best of three series.

Tigre Uno wins with a Sabertooth 450 splash, evening the best of 3 series.

Bully is talking to someone we don’t see, pumping him up for the Bobby Roode-Tables match.

That open challenge is next.

Roode is waiting for his opponent. “The master of the tables” is in the ring. So who is man enough to accept the challenge?

Gunner.

Roode wins, with some help from “Cowboy” James Storm, and Roode put Gunner through a table with a Roode Bomb.

When we come back, Bully Ray tells Gunner he has put through 100s of tables, and keeps coming back. Next week, Gunner and Bully Ray will face Storm and Roode.

Eric Young is ready for his challenge, and he will show the world how crazy he really is.

Monster’s Ball Match is next.

Young wins with a Top Rope elbow, retaining his title, and the show ends with Eric celebrating the win on the top of the ramp.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

The show was heavily featured on matches, a bit too many in my opinion, because everything seemed so crammed together, if they cut down the matches to 5 it means more and longer matches. But I did like how they featured EY. He has earned that title, and now we will see where this leads to, which brings me to Sacrifice.

10 days away from the PPV, and we still don’t know the main event. Something has to happen next week, and we will see who gets the title shot. What were your thoughts on the show? Send them to me on this site.

Impact Wrestling 4/3/14…Fatal 4-Way For The Gold

Tonight, Impact will give us a World Title match. Fatal 4-way, between Magnus Vs Samoa Joe Vs Abyss Vs “Showtime” Eric Young.

Impact Wrestling is now.

Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us to the show. Tag Team Table match kicks off the show. Bobby Roode and EC3 taking on Bully Ray and Willow.

Bully Ray goes through a table with a Spinebuster by Roode. Earlier in the match, Willow went after Rockstar Spud, who was in a wheelchair.

Now Roode puts Bully through another table, with a Roode Bomb.

Roode wants Bully to go through one more table.

EC3….GET THE TABLE!!!

Roode went to the top rope, and did a body splash, on top of Bully, through a table.

Does Bully know who Roode is?

“The King of the Night” Kenny King shows up. The problem is MVP has nothing planned for Kenny.

Mr. Anderson Vs Samuel Shaw, in a straightjacket match is next.

Magnus has entered the building earlier tonight. He and Abyss are on the same page.

MVP is talking about tonight’s card. Mr. Anderson faces Samuel Shaw in a straightjacket Match. Madison Rayne chooses her tag partner for tonight’s match against The Beautiful People. And our Fatal 4-way match.

Kenny King comes in, and MVP tells him he will talk to him later.

Mr. Anderson Vs Samuel Shaw is now.

Shaw wins with his chokehold, and puts Anderson in a straight jacket.

The Beautiful People are back in full effect, and they are better than ever. Madison Rayne should have stayed home with her baby, but she will be schooled, no matter who she chooses as her partner.

Earlier today, “Showtime” Eric Young was talking about his title match tonight. When this started, Eric wanted to right the wrong, by turning Abyss into a monster. But now it is to prove he belongs in this title picture, and will show us tonight.

Tigre Uno is now going to face Sanada in a Best of 3 Series for the X-Division Title.

But Kenny King interrupts the match before it started. He has something he has to say, and heads to the ring.

He is not here to rob the spotlight, not here to claim it, he is here to take the spotlight. Kenny King is the X-Division.

He sees all of the talent in this ring, but the X-Division is Kenny King. He was born doing backflips, and by the time he was 13, he was doing things Mil Mascaras can dream of.

Enter MVP.

MVP tells Kenny he is acting crazy, and is interrupting his show. When did it become his show? He took out Dixie Carter, and the fans demand action.

Kenny calls himself the greatest superstar in the ring.

MVP suggests they talk backstage about this, but Kenny doesn’t want to hear about that. He wants to be the man around here, and main eventing Impact Wrestling.

Nobody is here to wrestle Kenny tonight, they can talk about next week. Kenny talks about Bully Ray isn’t doing anything, he can wrestle anyone. How about MVP?

MVP says he is the director of operations, and can’t work tonight. Kenny asks for a bow for his fans, and he does that, bumps into MVP. Now they have a problem.

Kenny suggests an exhibition match, and MVP agrees to it.

But next, Sanada Vs Tigre Uno.

Sanada wins with a Double Underhook Suplex, he gets a 1-0 lead.

Magnus and Abyss are on the same page, and he is about to show us a side of Abyss we have never seen before.

Brittany approaches Madison Rayne, she is a big fan of Madison. And she wants to be Madison’s partner tonight. Madison declines, saying she doesn’t want her to get involved with those two women. Brittany reminds Madison someone gave her a chance, and a few years later, she is the Knockout Champion. Britt did defeat Gail Kim in her match, okay, shut the door and talk strategy.

Our World Heavyweight Champion comes out to the ring.

He wants Abyss to come to the ring, and he does, complete in a suit and tie.

Magnus reminds Abyss he brought him back, and they have been on the same page. So tonight, Abyss will help Magnus retain his title. He refuses to treat him like Father James Mitchell, or Eric Young. Magnus is a brit, and british people do not show their emotions, but Magnus loves Abyss.

That seemed to touch him a bit, and as they leave the ring, Eric Young shows up and goes after Abyss, But Magnus helps Abyss and the numbers gave comes, until Joe comes in for the save. But now EY is upset Joe helped him, and told him to stay out of it.

MVP is with the Wolves. They have a title match against The Bromans later tonight, but Robbie E. shows up with a doctor’s note, saying that Jesse can’t work due to an accident at the gym.

The match is off.

The Beautiful People Vs Madison Rayne and Brittany, now.

The Beautiful People pin Brittany with a Makeover. Madison was only in the ring once.

Still to come, Fatal 4-Way for the World Heavyweight Title. Magnus Vs Joe Vs Abyss Vs Eric Young.

But next, MVP Vs Kenny King in an exhibition match.

The match ends in a no contest when both men fight each other. Officials came to check on him. Magnus approaches EC3. He wants Ethan to watch his back, EC3 isn’t feeling it.

Kenny King had to show MVP who he was, and MVP nails him from behind. The Wolves pulled them both away, trying to cool the situation.

Our main event is the Fatal 4-Way for the World Heavyweight Championship. Magnus Vs Samoa Joe Vs Abyss Vs “Showtime” Eric Young.

Magnus pins EY with an elbow drop off the top rope. Magnus told Abyss he loves him right when he had an opportunity to win, but Abyss froze.

The show ends with Magnus celebrating.

Next Thursday, Dixie Carter is back.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Tonight’s show was okay, but there wasn’t any setting up Sacrifice, which is four weeks away.

Too short of the X-Division match too, as well as The Beautiful People. Just not much else to talk about tonight.

No Smackdown report, so I will talk to you live, Saturday night about the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, at 9:00 PM, eastern. Talk to you then.
