Impact Wrestling 1/16/15…The Hardys Vs The Wolves

We see footage from last week, with all of the champions defending their titles.  We also saw Awesome Kong make her return to TNA, and a new World Champion was won, when Lashley defeated Roode.  Eric Young and Samoa Joe turned their backs on Roode, where do we go from here?

Impact Wrestling, on Destination America is now.

Josh Matthews is in the TNA studios in Nashville, showing us a preview of what we will see tonight.

We see Roode from last week.  His friend Eric Young took something from him that means something, and tonight, he challenges Eric Young to a match.  Roode will make EY pay.

Our season premiere is in New York City.  We will see The Hardys Vs The Wolves.

MVP’s crew come out, with Joe, Lo-Ki, Kenny King, and MVP.

Just when we thought we could laugh at MVP’s demise, he switches gears, change lanes, and bam….MVP is in control again.

MVP knew from day one of the wrestling business, it would be him Vs the world.  He knew he would surround himself with minds that think alike.  He had to go to his family.  Guys like Samoa Joe and Lo-Ki, guys he had ridden with and grew up with in the indys, back in the day.  He calls these guys The Beat Down Clan, or BDC.

Before we go to the new World Champion, here is “Showtime” Eric Young.

Tonight, no DQ match is set, Roode Vs Young.

MVP and EY haven’t seen eye to eye on anything, except one thing.

Just to be super clear, our opinion doesn’t matter.  The truth is a funny thing.  The truth is EY and MVP.  They couldn’t be in the ring together a month ago, but he did something for his family.  He gave the title to his brother, and he respects that.  He had a brother once.  When EY was World Champion, he gave Roode a title chance, and EY beat him.  But when Roode was champ, where was EY’s shot?

Maybe Roode was afraid EY would beat him, again?  Because nobody knows better that he is a world-class wrestler.  A world-class athlete.  When EY was laid up in the hospital, where was Roode’s visit?  Where was his call?  He just received a text.  And now, he took something of Roode, and tonight, he takes everything else.

MVP introduces us the new 2-time World Heavyweight Champion, “The Destroyer” Lashley.

No Lashley on the ramp.

But here comes Kurt Angle, instead.

Look at the 5 of them being called a family, he sees thugs in the ring.  And he tells EY that he will get payback tonight, because Bobby Roode will kick his ass.

MVP warns Kurt he is breathing, and Kurt tells them he isn’t the Director of Authority anymore, he can’t make matches, but he can make them all tap.

Joe gets into Kurt’s face, and the two men have a face-to-face, with Kurt giving a cheap shot.

Officials try to back them up, and Kurt issues a challenge against Joe, now.

Joe Vs Angle, now.

Joe makes Kurt tap out with the Rear Naked Choke, after Joe shoved Kurt into the ref, and kicked him in the balls.  But Joe picks up the win.

During the match, they tried to get a word in with Roode, but Bobby wasn’t there.  After the match, BDC attacks Kurt a bit more, with EY and Roode comes out, with a chair when we go to a break.

We come back from a break, with Roode sitting on a chair.

He is trying to be calm about this, but this crap has gone on too far.

He heard Eric Young talk about why he ended a 15-year friendship, and cost Roode the TNA World Championship, the only thing he loves about this business.

And everything EY spewed out was bullshit.

This ring is Bobby’s home, and they are in New York City.  Tonight is not about wrestling, it’s about payback, and tonight, Roode will make EY pay for what he has done.

Josh and Taz are in the studio.  Tomorrow morning, we will get Mike Tenay’s Impact Unlocked.  He will have an interview with Magnus, and we get an exclusive part of it.

We see footage from last week when EC3 shaves Jeremy Borash’s head to get to Rockstar Spud.

Spud approaches JB.

EC3 has become insane, and JB told Spud that the hair will grow back, but someday, EC3 will get what is coming back to him.

The Revolution is in the building.

They sit in the balcony, watching the next match.  Number One Contender’s match with The Hardys Vs The Wolves.

Winner gets a shot at Tag Gold.

The Hardys win with a double side effect, Matt pinning Eddie.  The Revolution is watching along.

Next week, it’s Feast or Fired.

Bram has his thoughts.  He’s all about this opportunity and knows he and Magnus can take control of everything.

Kenny King is discussing things with MVP.  MVP assures Kenny that everything is cool with the champ.  If not, they have another plan.

EY is pacing around nervous, saying he will show us and the world that he has what it takes to go after Roode.

Roode Vs EY, No DQ match is next.

We come back, and it seems EC3 and Tyrus invade the controls, and EC3 is challenging Jeremy Borash to a match, one on one next week.  He will give JB 30 minutes to answer to the challenge.

The TNA World Champion has entered the building.

Eric Young Vs Bobby Roode, in a No DQ match is up now.

In what was a brutal fight, EY hits a Piledriver, right on a chair to pin Roode.

MVP and Kenny King come out to the ring.

He tells Roode he is headed for the hospital, and we will get to hear from the TNA World Champion.  But perhaps Roode gets a hospital visit?

Austin Aries, the new X-Division Champion defends the title against Lo-Ki.  Things are different this week, with Ki now aligning himself with a group.  Strength in numbers.  He warns them that when Austin is in a corner, he can be a very dangerous man.

Lo-Ki Vs Austin Aries, but next The Beautiful People Vs Taryn Terrell and the returning Brooke.

EC3 and Tyrus are waiting to hear from JB.

Last week, we saw the return of Brooke and Awesome Kong.

We hear from Brooke, she doesn’t like Robbie E.

Brooke and Taryn Vs BP, now.

BP wins when Brooke slaps Robbie, but Velvet rolls Brooke up for the win.

BP celebrate in the ring, the lights go out, and come back, we see Awesome Kong waiting for them.

She takes them both out, chokeslams DJ Z, and now here comes Havoc.

Officials come out to break them up, while the fans want them to fight.

EC3 walks in to confront JB.

JB is not a fighter, and EC3 tells him he is the heart and soul of TNA for 13 years.  And when Carter shaved JB’s head, nobody came to check on him.  Why?

Because nobody cares.

JB accepts the challenge.

Aries Vs Lo-Ki is up next, and we will get Feast or Fired match, next week.

Camera crew follows Manik to hear from James Storm.

It’s time for us to be introduced to the newest disciple, Khoya.

Khoya in his own country, India was lost.  But now, he has found The Revolution.  Next week, the power, the speed, and the destruction will be unleashed on Impact Wrestling.

Feast or Fired video is being shown now.

X-Division Title match is up now, Austin Aries Vs Lo-Ki.

Lo-Ki is now the new X-Division Champion, with some help from Beat Down Klan.  Ki pins Austin with a Springboard leap.

Lashley is headed to the ring, next.

We come back, and see Beat Down Clan in the ring.

We see what they represent, and now are in the driver’s seat and with everything that has happened, the World Title comes back home.

He brings out “The Destroyer” Lashley.

We should be applauding this man, the most dominant World Heavyweight Champion in TNA history.

What we see now are winners, something the fans aren’t used to, at the home of the Jets.

Lashley looks like a champion, the suit, the clothes.  MVP made Lashley look like this.  The World Heavyweight Championship belongs to Lo-Ki, Joe, EY, Kenny King, and MVP.  The title belongs to The Beat Down Clan.

Lashley tells him the title belongs to Lashley.

MVP tells him the title is about what BDC did.

Lashley tells him this isn’t his way, they can do what they want, and he’ll do what he wants.

MVP wants to calm things down.  He tells Lashley when they were both in that other company, Lashley was the one who welcomed MVP with welcome arms, who showed him the way, and for that reason they can go their separate ways.  No hard feelings.

He gives Lashley a hug, and a kiss on the head, which triggers BDC to attack Lashley, with the title.

MVP holds the TNA World Title, with his foot on Lashley.  Blood is on Lashley’s face.

The World Heavyweight Championship does not belong to Lashley, it belongs to the Beat Down Clan.

Next week, Lashley Vs MVP in a street fight, and the return of Feast or Fired match.

The show ends, here.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Well, MVP is certainly a good voice to give this new stable, I just don’t like the name.  I prefered Franchise Players, it fits their name better.  But it is what it is.

I also like Josh Matthews, and the job he has done in the 2 weeks he has been with the company.  He and Taz should work well together in the coming weeks, as they get more familiar.

And that also includes this new presentation.  They kept showing footage of Josh and Taz in the booth calling the action, it feels old school meeting new school, although it looks better when the announcers are physically there.

But let’s talk about the matches.  4 big matches took place tonight, with Joe Vs Angle, Wolves Vs The Hardys, Aries Vs Ki, and of course Roode Vs Young.

Speaking of EY, either he’s a part of BDC or not.  I hated that they kept bringing up he isn’t, yet he was there in every segment with BDC.  It was a bit confusing, and I was not a fan of his explanation, but I did like the new approach he took in the match with Roode.  He seemed to have a new direction there, which was fun to watch.

And I absolutely love The Revolution, especially watching the match in the balcony when we saw Hardys Vs Wolves.

And seeing Kong’s entrance again, on top of the confrontation with Havoc was awesome.

2 straight good shows in their debut of Destination America, which makes it a good thing.

What were your thoughts of the show?  Send them to me here.

Impact Wrestling 11/5/14…Joe and Ki Vs The Hardys

Last week, Bobby Roode made history, becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion, defeating Lashley. We have an awesome video, showcasing what Bobby went through just to reach the title.

Tonight, Joe and Lo-Ki Vs The Hardys to determine the Number One Contender to the Tag Team Titles. Also tonight, Gail Kim Vs Havok for the Knockout Title.

Kurt Angle is in the ring, introducing the new World Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Roode.

Words can’t describe this moment for Bobby. Wrestlers all over the world dream for this moment. Stand here, as the World Heavyweight Champion. Besides his family, professional wrestling is all Bobby has. He loves pro wrestling. It’s all he thinks about, and ever since he laced up his first wrestling boot, he wanted to be the best. Holding this title means he is the best.

He is happy to standing with the man who is pound for pound the greatest wrestler this business has ever seen, Kurt Angle.

He is proud to be in front of these fans, and the millions of fans watching worldwide.

Here come Lashley, MVP, and Kenny King.

MVP has the mic, and calls Bobby a sorry excuse of a competitors. Lashley is the most dominant World Champion in TNA history, yet they boo him? Instead, they cheer a man who manipulated the system in Roode. A man who sided with a so-called American hero, who made sure Roode won. So who are the cheaters?

They do things the right way. The only reason Lashley was champion, MVP should have been the champion, so he should get the title shot.

Lashley doesn’t look too happy, so Kurt asks Roode if he really wants to put the title on the line, tonight?

No problem, and like that, MVP says he will be the new World Champion.

Tonight, Joe and Lo-Ki Vs The Hardys, to determine who faces The Wolves for Tag Team gold.

Joe and Ki are talking backstage. Ki knew he could depend on Joe to be his partner. Joe brings up one thing they put their pride on for is greatness. But gentlemen, all great things crumble, and the sledge-hammer has just arrived.

That epic match is next.

Joe and Lo-Ki Vs The Hardys, now.

The Hardys win the match when Matt pins Lo-Ki with a moonsault.

Backstage, Storm is talking with Davey Richards. Storm tells Davey he was held back as a young wrestler, and this is his opportunity to give Davey a chance to be his equal. Storm is giving Davey one week, and then he wants his answer.

The other side of the stage, Roode tells the cameraguy that MVP suspended Roode for 7 weeks to keep him out of the World Title picture. He was willing to give Lashley another title shot, but MVP jumped right in front of him. Tonight, Roode will prove why he is “The It Factor” and a 2-time World Champion. He will also show why he is more of a “MVP” in this company than MVP will ever be.

We see footage over the last few months with Samuel Shaw and Gunner. Last week, Samuel turned his back on Gunner, with Brittany siding by him.

Here are the new couple now.

After Samuel met Brittany, he realized that he was nothing more than a charity case to Gunner, and Brittany makes it clear he never was a friend of his, and Christy Hemme will never do the things Brittany can do.

She licks his face, and here comes Gunner.

Sammy was a friend to Gunner, but then crazy met crazy, and Gunner brings up that Samuel wanted to be Gunner, dress like him, have tattoos like him, and he calls them both crazy bastards.

Shaw warns Gunner not to call them that again, and he does it again so now we have a fight.

Brittany distracts Gunner, and Shaw knocks him in the crouch.

With Brittany’s help, Samuel chokes out Gunner and then they make out, some more.

Okay, moving on.

Hardcore Rules match is up next, Tommy Dreamer and Devon Vs Magnus and Bram.

We see video of the newest member of TNA roster, Mahibali Shera, with Kurt Angle introducing us to him.

Tonight, MVP Vs Bobby Roode for the World Title and we see what happened earlier tonight, and Lashley is not happy.

MVP meets with Kurt.  This is all about MVP, and Kurt agrees.  He even thinks Lashley saw that today too.

Dreamer and Devon Vs Bram and Magnus, now.

Dreamer and Devon win in anything happens match.  But Dreamer pins Magnus with a DDT.

Gail Kim is ready for her title match against Havok.

Rockstar Spud comes to the ring.  We can buy I’m with Spud T-shirts.

JB is with Spud.

Spud doesn’t want these people to feel sorry for him, because he has done things the last year he is not proud of.  When he won the first British Boot Camp, he had no friends, no direction, and Madame Dixie Carter approached him and asked Spud to be her Chief of Staff.  He loved doing that, and he loved being with his best friend Ethan Carter.  That is until he realized Ethan is a complete wanker.

Ethan said he made him sick, his suits made him sick.  But Spud isn’t going to change for anyone, and these people love these suits.

Ethan calls himself the 1 percent?  Well, Spud is Mr. 99 Percent, because you big nose douchebag, Spud doesn’t need you anymore, and neither do these people.

JB brings up British Boot Camp, the reason why he won is slowly but surely, he won people over and now he is doing the same thing here.

JB is with Spud.

Trouble….Trouble….Trouble….

EC3 is here.

Ethan is not impressed.  All of the losers seem to appoint the new leader, in Rockstar Spud.  But how dare JB say this?  He is the most loyal employee, and owes everything to the Carter.  And Rockstar Spud owes everything too, and he approaches Spud, giving him a courtesy to apologize, now.

Rockstar Spud will not apologize, and Titus holds him back, with EC3 asking him again to apologize.

Spud is sorry that he is a big nose douchebag.

JB tries to stop Carter, and Ethan tells him that was the biggest mistake he ever made, and slaps him.

“Showtime” Eric Young comes to the ring to help out Spud.

Tonight, MVP Vs Roode, but next, Havok Vs Gail Kim, Knockout Title on the line.

After a valiant effort, Havok defeated Gail with her Chokeslam, retaining the Knockout Title.  Gail had attacked early, but her shoulder, and Havok’s brute strength overcame her.

Earlier today, Mahabali Shera was eating in the cafeteria, alone.  Manik shows up to introduce us, and now he wants to know everything about him, doing some recruitment.

Lashley is leaving the building, and leaving MVP, when he needs him the most.

Roode Vs MVP, next,

Our main event, MVP Vs Roode, for the World Title is now.

Roode wins with a Roode Bomb, retaining his title.  After the match, Lashley shows up, and spears Roode.  MVP wants some help, but Lashley just leaves.

Next week, we will see Austin Aries Vs Lashley, and The Hardys face The Wolves.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

After last week, we see a little mini-story being told.  It worked, and it didn’t.  I love Roode is the new World Champion, but I also feel we need a long arc being planted, as in who is in line to take that title. I understand they can’t do that at this moment, but they need to start planning ahead.  The ideal person would be James Storm.

I loved the Storm Vs Roode feud a few years back, and perhaps they have begun that arc, since last week Storm talked about his partners holding him back when he was younger.  But we need to get an announcement shortly about TNA’s future, specifically, their TV future.

You have to think they have a deal worked out, right?  After all, with weeks left with Spike, we just saw a new wrestler come to the company in Mahibali Shera, and he possibly could be joining The Revolution.  The potential is there, right?

But they need to make that announcement, so they can move forward, and we can see what they have in plan.  Right?

Right?

Impact Wrestling 10/15/14…We Are All Bound For Glory

Now that Bound for Glory is behind us, a new chapter begins. We will have a Number One Contender match to determine who faces Bobby Lashley for the TNA World Title. Who win?

Impact Wrestling is now.

We are in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us to the show.

The Executive Director, Kurt Angle begins the show.

Kurt loves seeing the competition, but the playing field needs to be leveled. He asks for Lashley to come to the ring, and he does that.

Kurt knows Bobby isn’t happy with him, but he told his friends to take the night off, and they obliged. But the World Heavyweight Champion needs to be able to defend their title at all costs. So why did Lashley say no to giving Roode a shot at the title?

Because Roode has already had his shot, and lost. Do you want a shot, Kurt?

One day, the two will fight, and he will regret that day. But today isn’t that day. Tonight, there will be a new Number One Contender crowned, in a Fatal four-way match.

It will be “Showtime” Eric Young Vs Jeff Hardy Vs Austin Aries Vs Bobby Roode.

Lashley has competed with all of these people before, but all of them will have an opportunity to compete for a shot at the title. Good luck to them all.

Our main event is set.

Last Saturday night, the TNA Hall of Fame was being seen, with Team 3-D.

Next, Havok Vs Madison Rayne for the Knockout Title.

Matt Hardy was doing an interview about Jeff Hardy’s World Title opportunity, when Magnus introduces himself to Hardy, saying he is nothing but a “cheerleader” tonight to Jeff, after losing the Tag Title shot last week. Matt challenges Magnus to a match, tonight.

Challenge is accepted.

Madison Rayne Vs Havok, now.

Havok wins with a Chokeslam, she calls The Harlet Slayer.

Devon is talking with Kurt in the back, he is proud to be a part of history with his brother, but he is still a part of the TNA roster and will do anything he can to represent.

Eric Young is backstage, telling us he has a 25% shot at becoming the Number One Contender, and he’ll take those chances anytime.

Matt Hardy Vs Magnus, now.

Hardy wins with a Twist of Fate. A good match between these two, and Matt has looked very good since he came back to TNA.

EC3 revealed last Sunday that he has a new bodyguard, and tonight, we find out who that is.

Mixed tag match is up now. Angelina Love, DJ Z, and Jessie Godderz Vs Knox, Crazzy Steve, and Rebel.

The Menagerie win, when Crazzy Steve pins Jessie with a DDT.

EC3 reveals his new bodyguard, next.

Tonight, Fatal Four-way for the Number One Contender to face Lashley.

Roode is about to share his thoughts, and Austin Aries tells Roode tonight will be a match they all remember. This mutual respect, when the bell rings is out the window. No apologies after the match, whatever it takes to win.

I can’t wait.

EC3 makes his appearance. His new bodyguard?

The wrestler formerly known as Brodus Clay.

controversy seems to follow him wherever he goes, but it follows you when you make big moves.

He plans to detonate this entire industry, because he has the control of the button. Brodus is now known as Tyrus.

To his former best friend, Rockstar Spud, he’d like to say see you never.

Now, down to business. Bully Ray still remains a Hall of Famer, despite putting his Aunt through a table.

We all love it, but the action is being deemed, and the list of TNA Hall of Famers is a who’s-who of the people EC3 have beaten.

Sting, Kurt Angle, and Bully Ray.

The fans may chant you can’t wrestle, but he remains undefeated, and there isn’t a man who can beat him.

Enter Devon.

Devon can see why he gets his ass kicked every week, he continues to talk. There is one man he hasn’t beaten, and that is Devon.

So Tyrus, Devon will put EC3 through a table, and if he even thinks about interfering, he will make him his bi-atch.

As Devon heads the ring, Bram attacks Devon with a garbage can lid.

We come back, EC3 and Tyrus are still in the ring. It’s so nice that Bram helped him out, and Tyrus told him he just beat Devon.

So EC3 is rewarding Tyrus with a treat, tonight he faces a legend….SHARKBOY!!

Simon Diamond tries to look for Sharkboy, and sees him hanging out on the couch, eating doughnuts.

Showtime!!

Tyrus wins with a Chokeslam, Sharkboy needed to eat more doughnuts, I guess.

Highlights from Bound for Glory.

Hardy’s thoughts on tonight’s match.

Creature, it’s time to mount up.

Our main event, Number One Contender’s Match is next.

Bram walks away, not wanting to talk about anything.

Highlights from the Ultimate Tag Team Series between Team 3-D Vs The Hardys Vs The Wolves.

The Wolves speak, challenging any team out there to try to take their titles.

8-team tournament starts the next week to challenge The Wolves.

But now, Fatal 4-Way to determine the Number One Contender. Eric Young Vs Jeff Hardy Vs Austin Aries Vs Bobby Roode is now.

This was actually an Elimination match, although all night, they were naming this a Fatal 4-way, unless I am wrong here. It came down to Aries and Roode. Bobby wins with a Roodebomb. A very fun match here, and all four men celebrate at the end.

Next week, an 8 team tournament starts off to see who faces The Wolves next, and we will get an official contract signing between Bobby Lashley Vs Bobby Roode.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This has been the first Bound for Glory I ever missed, let’s hope there is more and this is the start of a strong build towards it. Another strong main event, and I love seeing the added focus on these matches, and extra time. Makes the main event feel special.

Tyrus is a good addition, but I hope they don’t make this friendship short.

A fun show tonight, and can’t wait to see the contract signing next week, and the Tag Team tournament beginning.

What were your thoughts on the show? Send them to me.

Impact Wrestling 10/8/14…Full Metal Mayhem

My first Impact in 2 weeks, ready to go and see the last match in the Ultimate Tag Team Series. The Hardys Vs The Wolves Vs Team 3-D in Full Metal Mayhem.

Impact Wrestling is now.

Bobby Roode is in the ring.

Last week, he asked for one more match with Lashley. But he didn’t hear from Bobby, he heard from MVP. He wants to hear from Bobby, and not MVP.

But MVP and Kenny King shows up, and he tells Bobby that he had his shot, and he choked. So again, he says no to a rematch.

Bobby asked if they know what it’s like to be World Champion. He asked who drives the car, it seems to be Kenny King. Bobby tells MVP he will do anything to get another title shot.

Kenny has an idea, and he whispers in MVP’s ear.

MVP tells Bobby if he wants to prove he can do whatever it takes to get another title shot, how about Bobby Vs MVP and Kenny King. But when Bobby loses, he never receives another World Title shot again.

Bobby asks if he speaks for Lashley, and MVP says he does. The match is set.

Tonight, a new Number One Contenders match is up now for the Knockout Title.

Angelina Love Vs Madison Rayne Vs Taryn Terrell is set now.

Madison Rayne wins, so she becomes the next victim of Havok, I mean the next contender to the Knockout Title, using the tights, pinning Taryn Terrell.

Here comes Havok, she faces Velvet Sky this Sunday, at Bound for Glory.

Madison leaves the ring, for Taryn to get her ass kicked. A vicious Chokeslam, showing Madison what her future holds for her.

Next, Storm and Great Sanada Vs Lo-Ki and Tigre Uno. Also, Full Metal Mayhem tonight, with Team 3-D Vs The Hardys Vs The Wolves.

The Franchise Players are in the back, MVP tells Lashley they will take care of Roode. Have the night off, they have this.

Video on The Great Sanada turning to the darkside, and a new Revolution is born.

Tag team match is up now, Storm and Sanada Vs Lo-Ki and Tigre.

The Revolution wins when Sanada sprayed red mist into Tigre’s eyes, and Storm hits a Last Call.

Tonight, Bobby Roode has to face MVP and Kenny King to get another shot at the TNA World Title.

Also, Full Metal Mayhem.

Gunner is talking to Samuel Shaw about his match against Bram. Samuel wonders if Gunner believes in him, and Gunner warns him to watch himself. Samuel now has tattoos, patterning himself from Gunner.

Gunner needs to show more support, gosh.

This is a No DQ match between Samuel Shaw Vs Bram, now.

They tried hard, and Bram wins, nailing Samuel with a wrench. At least Samuel got a TNA chant going.

Brittany is checking on Samuel.

Bobby Roode knows what he wants, and that is the World Heavyweight Championship. He hasn’t slept since September 17th, and if MVP wants to open the door for him, he is about to kick it in.

Roode Vs MVP and King is next.

Tonight, a Full Metal Mayhem match.

Bully Ray says they might be a bit crazy to decide this match. The Wolves show up, and remind them they are the Tag Champs, and Davey told them there is a method of madness. When they win, they won’t just beat Team 3-D and The Hardys, they will beat them at their own match.

Let the hunt begin.

Roode Vs MVP and King, now.

Roode wins by DQ, pinning MVP, had King pinned with a Roode Bomb, but Lashley comes in, and gets his own piece. He nailed a Spear on Roode.

EC3 is a businessman, so he is willing to give Rockstar Spud one more chance. If he doesn’t show loyalty, then business doesn’t look bright for him.

EC3 is in the ring.

He has been at Impact Wrestling for one calendar year, and he has yet to be defeated. Never been pinned, or submitted. After victory, after victory, after victory, after victory.

They say novels have been written by winners, and this novel is written by EC3. He orders Rockstar Spud to get out here, now.

And he does, dressed in purple.

Spud has failed EC3, but he is a giver, and his opportunity is tonight.

Spud has said he is sorry for what happened to Madame, and he is Ethan’s best friend.

Prove it.

Spud knows Ethan’s favorite color is green, because he loves money. He also makes sure when he’s at hotels, the maid sets the thermostat is 71. And he hates it when the crowd chants he can’t wrestle.

You can’t wrestle.

He disagrees.

You can’t wrestle.

He thinks he is very good.

Ethan tells Spud that he failed him when he fainted while guarding Dixie, and making sure she doesn’t go through a table. But just like the 99 percenters, Spud is a loser.

Spud isn’t a loser, he is Rockstar Spud.

Spud is a loser.

He’s not a loser, he’s ROCKSTAR SPUD!!

He is a Carter, and Spud is a loser.

Ethan keeps slapping Spud, calling him a loser. But Spud slaps back.

Spud has heart, he will give him that. But Rockstar Spud, you’re fired.

Video on The Hardys Vs Team 3-D Vs The Wolves, Full Metal Mayhem.

That epic match is next.

Kenny King is DQ’s, with MVP, King, and Lashley are happy about the job they did. Kurt Angle tells them that Bobby Roode will still be a part of the Number One Contender match next week, and MVP will not have a part in it.

The Hardys Vs Team 3-D Vs The Wolves is now.

The Wolves win when they retain their titles, and are still Tag Team Champions.

The show ends with the Wolves standing on top of the ladder, raising their titles up high.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

This was a fitting end to a series. This was their best match, and now it makes us wonder where they go from here with the Hardys and Team 3-D, and even better, who beats The Wolves?

I’ll have to think hard about choosing to purchase Bound for Glory. I always order them, but since there was no buildup, why bother? I can save $50 anyway, but it is what it is.

Overall, a solid show, Roode showed he can be the face of the company. Either a heel or a face, the man gets his reaction. We will see what happens from here. What were your thoughts from tonight’s show? Send them to me here.

Impact Wrestling 6/25/14…New World Champion Speaks

This is a big week for TNA, and I might say things are starting to look better. More on that in a bit.

Last week, Bobby Lashley made history, beating “Showtime” Eric Young and becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Where do we go from here?

Impact Wrestling is now.

The Trio of Power kick the show off, with the new World Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Lashley entering the building.

But Knockout tag action kicks the show off. The Beautiful People Vs Taryn Terrell and Gail Kim now.

Gail Kim and Taryn win when Gail pins Angelina with Eat Defeat.

The Trio Of Power are up next.

For the first time in history, TNA will present Bound for Glory, on October 12th, in Tokyo, Japan.

Dixie Carter is in a great mood, she has some news she will share and it’s great to be Dixie Carter.

The Trio of Power make their way to the ring, the trio of MVP, Kenny King, and Lashley.

MVP introduces us the new World Heavyweight Champion, Lashley.

MVP has regained his power, with Bobby Lashley being the new World Heavyweight Champion. It didn’t happen as quickly as he had promised, but they got the job done. Power is theirs. People stepped out of their lines, and they must pay.

Here comes Eric Young, in a sling.

When EY became champion, he knew politics and garbage would come back, and he is here to take care of business.

EY runs out to the ring, but is attacked.

Here comes Bobby Roode, through the crowd, helping out EY.

Commercial break.

Bobby Roode comes back on TV, he tells EY that the two of them have had their ups, and their down, but at the end of the day, they share 2 common grounds. One, is they signed with TNA on the very same day, and have built this company from the ground up. And number 2, they love the sport of professional wrestling, and they share that love and passion. And at the end of the day, MVP took that love away from Roode with that bullshit suspension.

But yet, he is back to dethrone MVP and his power, and to take the TNA World Heavyweight Title away from Lashley. And that begins today. He’s not just doing this for himself, for EY, but doing it for every single fan, and man and woman in the back.

So if he wants to keep him suspended, fine. If he wants to fire him, fine. But if he were to do that, then do it like a man.

So Roode still works for TNA? He will talk to Roode like a civilized man. Can he be civilized?

Roode made a big mistake, and he repeated it again. Because by action, there is a reaction. He is still Director of Operations. And because of that, Bobby Roode, he is….

Some guys shows up. Earl Sullivan Armstrong. He represents TNA’s board of directors. As of right now, he is no longer the Director of Operations of TNA.

His replacement will be here shortly, of this mess he has caused.

So Roode wants to make this sure, MVP is no longer in charge?

Well, with that being said, he will listen to the fans. Roode decks MVP.

The Menagerie is talking to some dude that they owe money. They can’t end the business. Crazzy Steve is in action against Senada.

The Bromans want a piece of Sanada, and so does Manik. Manik tells Steve he has something on his face.

Moments ago, we see a lawyer from TNA Board of Operations inform MVP he is no longer Director of Operations of TNA.

Spud informs Dixie everything will be glorious tonight. Dixie knew she was good at the board meeting, but not as good as she truly was. Dixie is getting complete control of TNA. She needs champagne.

Sanada heads to the ring, and he gets to choose which three men to choose. Either Manik, DJZ, or Crazzy Steve.

Sanada choose a Fatal 4-Way, for title match.

Sananda pins Crazzy Steve with a Bridge Suplex.

Dixie Carter is next.

Kenny King is confused by this, and MVP will square this away, from his lawyer.

Tonight, Monster’s Ball match with Abyss and Willow against Magnus and Bram.

Magnus and Bram are ready for this match, because now they get to use weapons and get away with it.

Here comes Dixie Carter, darling.

We all are witnessing something historic tonight. She put her faith in people, but in wrestlers. She put her faith in Roode, and he failed. She put her faith in Bully Ray, and he stole her money. And we put the faith in MVP, and he failed us. Now one of his “thugs” took the TNA World Title, and if it wasn’t for MVP’s bad leg, then it would have been him.

But she promises us that Dixie 2.0 will be better, because we will see more of her.

Now bring out the lawyer guy that told MVP he was relieved of his duties.

Earl Sullivan Armstrong made a mistake. She isn’t in charge of TNA either, the person isn’t here yet.

Enter Bully Ray.

Bully Ray sees a table, and he sips some champagne.

So how much money does Bully Ray want? $200,000?

Did Dixie just offer Bully Ray $200,000? That is a lot of money, so let’s see….take her money, or put her through a table.

He’s going to put her through a table.

EC3 shows up, and Bully flings him out, he whacks Spud. Dixie tries to slap him, but Bully catches Dixie.

But Spud flings the table away and saves her.

Moments ago, we see what we just saw. Dixie is now running, forget about Ethan, she is leaving.

Bully won’t rest until he makes good. Dixie, one day…you’re going through a table.

Mr. Anderson Vs “Cowboy” James Storm is now.

Storm wins with a Last Call Superkick, sending a message.

You still have time to vote for the favorite Knockout to grace the Knockout Calendar on ImpactWresting.com.

Samuel Shaw has been released from the funny farm, under Gunner’s supervision.

Storm greets Sanada, after his title defense. Destination X is upon us soon. And he has the opportunity to cash in the X-Divison, and make The Great Muta proud. But what happens if he fails? This gets Sanada’s attention, and Storm tells him he knows more about Sanada than he thinks.

EC3 is trying to get a hold of Dixie, but Tommy Dreamer fights him.

The two men have a good fight, until the officials break it up.

Willow and Abyss give us a great promo. Like it or not, but Willow has his way with words.

Monster’s Ball Match is next.

This match had everything, and ended with Bram pinning Abyss after nailing him with Janice. Magnus has thumbtacks on his back, and all four men worked hard for this.

The new Director of Operations is up, next.

The new Director of Operations? Kurt Angle.

He is giving back to the fans, and the wrestlers in the back. But if anyone wants to question his authority, try him.

The Trio of Power come back.

MVP wants to discuss this man to man. He knew he would have to watch his back with Dixie Carter, but now Kurt?

Are Kurt’s demons in check? Because he is about to have three evil demons in front of him.

Does Kurt think he can tell any of them to do? They have the power, and he feels he should end his power, before it begins.

If they land a finger on Kurt, he will fire all three of them, on the spot.

Lashley is the World Heavyweight Champion, and he will defend the title next week against “Showtime” Eric Young.

Kurt also just reinstated Bobby Roode.

Roode and EY come to the ring, and we have a wild fight, ending the show.

Next week, on Impact Wrestling. Kurt Angle and MVP….the war has just begun.

The show ends here.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

Not as strong of a show as last week, but this was still good, and it did its job. Actually, I am looking forward to the upcoming shows, and tonight, I couldn’t wait to see Impact.

I loved the news of BFG going to Japan, because they will treat it like a big deal, and with Great Muta being involved somehow, the company will look to move up.

And Kurt Angle being in charge is a good thing. But TNA can’t give us a turn within a mont or two, here. It keeps Kurt on Tv, while he heals from his surgery, and with Lashley as champion, heading into Destination X, it is going to be a positive thing. But will Lashley headline BFG? Or heck, will he even headline Destination X? We will find out shortly.

What were your thoughts on the show? Send them to me.

Impact Wrestling 5/15/14…MVP Explains To The World

My DVR didn’t work last Thursday night, so I couldn’t see the show, but I sure heard about the big turn. I will give you my thoughts, later tonight.

Impact Wrestling is now.

Moments ago, Eric Young is in the parking lot, waiting for MVP to show up. There will be words.

EY wants to rip MVP’s face, but he smirks and walks away.

Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us to the show, and here comes the World Heavyweight Champion.

He’s waiting for a fight.

Eric woke up last Friday, thinking this was a dream, but in reality this is a nightmare. Someone he trusted put his faith in. All of the wrestlers were hoping this man was different. He made a promise to us to be a fighting champion. He’s done that, and here is his next promise. This isn’t going to happen on his watch. If MVP wants to be the World Heavyweight Champion, he has to go through him. If he wanted a shot, all he had to do was ask. But be careful what you ask for, because you will get it. He’s crazy, and he wants MVP’s ass now.

MVP shows up on the screen. Eric Young is acting like The Incredible Hulk, but he doesn’t see The Justice League. Eric is ungrateful, because he gave him the opportunity at the title. But he won, and what EY did was fast track his big plan, which was to become the World Heavyweight Champion.

EY is the “Oswald”, because he was just a pawn. The real power is in the title, not pushing pencils. A part of MVP feels bad for EY, because he was the pawn. So he’s being gracious enough to make sure he keeps the title for a few more weeks.

EY is a fighting champion, and will defend his title every week.

A real champion don’t fight for free, but MVP has some people EY can face, and if he beats them, then he has his fists to fight.

EY runs after MVP, and we go from footage earlier in the week with Dixie.

It seems Bully went to her house, and made a sign that says Dixie fears Bully.

Later tonight, a 3-way match for the X-Division Title between DJ Zema Vs Tigre Uno Vs Sanada. Also, Mr. Anderson Vs “Cowboy” James Storm, and next, Willow’s Challenge against Magnus and Bram.

Their footage from a few weeks is being shown.

Willow gives us his Willow promo, and that match is next.

Willow wins the match when Bram handed Magnus a crowbar, but Magnus refused to use it, and Willow took advantage of that.

Eric Young finds MVP’s office, but he isn’t there. EY tears up the furniture.

Dixie receives a phone call, from Bully. He is in her house, and she wants everyone to get in the house, and record everything.

Gail Kim heads to the ring.

The crowd loves Gail.

She isn’t here for a makeover, and isn’t here to put an evening gown. She is here to prove to the world why she is here, and that is to show she is the hardest working Knockout on the roster. She helped build this division, so she wants The Beautiful People out here, because she is here to fight.

The Beautiful People are here.

Angelina and Velvet know she is a wrestler, but she isn’t the champ. She will never be the champ either. The BP are what every one of us inspires to be, sexy and tough. The BP accepts her challenge.

Velvet attacks Gail, and is her opponent, now.

Eat Defeat gets you every time, and Gail beats Velvet.

Angelina lays out Gail in the back of the head with her Knockout Title.

Crazy Steve is facing Kazarian, and The Menagerie is next.

Last week, Kurt Angle had his match against EC3, with EC3 tearing his ACL.

EC3 had a promo saying he is the future, and this is his world.

Kaz Vs Crazy Steve, now.

The Menagerie is up now.

Kazarian wins by DQ, because Crazy Steve de-pansed the referee, Steve Wheeler.

Wow, just horrible.

Austin Aries is at the Impact Zone.

Austin lays out the security guy, and MVP cheap shots Austin, throwing him out.

But EY decks MVP, and this fight continues, next.

A good fight between both men took place, but at the end of the day, MVP had the final say, kneeing EY in the balls, and DDTing him.

Then tells EY he gets his World Title match tonight.

More footage from Bully in Dixie Carter’s house.

Bully found Spud.

Mr. Anderson Vs Storm is now.

Storm wins with beer in the eyes and a Last Call Superkick.

Samuel Shaw is in the psyche ward, after losing to Mr. Anderson at Sacrifice. We see a white room, and someone wants to see him.

Is it Christy?

X-Division Title match is up now, Sanada Vs Tigre Uno Vs DJ Zema.

Sanada wins with a Tiger Suplex. A good and fun match here.

More footage with Bully in Dixie’s house.

It seems Gunner was the one who is visiting Samuel Shaw. He just feels that Samuel is misunderstood, and everyone needs someone to talk to.

In the house, Bully is right about to deck Dixie, but EC3 lays him out.

He wanted Dixie to admit she is afraid if Bully, and she refused,

EY Vs MVP, now.

MVP loses by DQ, when Kenny King goes after EY.

MVP demands the referee to re-start the match.

Kenny decks him.

Here comes Bobby Lashley to help, but he spears EY…..MY GAWD!!!! He has a family.

I guess we have a new faction, The Black Mafia.

The show ends with MVP holding the title high up in the air. We end Impact, here.

Kevin’s Thoughts:

I thought it was a horrible idea to turn MVP heel. Especially after Dixie is back on TV, and obviously still a heel. So I don’t understand the reason for doing, so very soon from MVP fighting for control of the company. Why? Even when he explained it, with taking power, it just didn’t make sense. I will try to give this time.

But I am a fan of stables, so seeing Lashley turn heel, and MVP serving as his mouthpiece, and Kenny King joining them, it might be good.

I also like seeing Eric Young as the champion too. He plays that role very well, and I hope he has a nice run as champion.

I am not a fan of The Menagerie, I hate the music as they are wrestling, and Kaz deserves better, going out of the company than this. In fact, TNA dropped the ball big tim by cutting Bad Influence before we could see a few Wolves Vs BI matches, on TV.

Speaking of the Wolves, why weren’t they on this week?

I had no issue with the wrestling, it was a better showing than last week.
